Just watched some of his clips for the first time in ages, and I couldn't believe how small his opponents were.
I looked up some of the weights, and some of these guys were only outweighing him by about 5lbs!
I expected most of the guys he was facing to be out doing him by around 32lbs.
I have never understood why guys like Lennox were called "super heavyweights", but now I understand.
Tyson is soooooooo over rated.
Well I agree with you there.
Although you will get some nutthuggers who will claim (you can count them on one hand, even in a thread that has 400 responses) "Tyson had a chance against a PRIME Lewis", I think even you will laugh that sort of thing off.
The vast majority consensus has Lewis (even on a one to one basis Ie. PRIME Lewis stops Tyson in 3 or 4) winning with ease.
So I was perhaps being a bit OTT when I said that Tyson is over rated: Most have him a few places outside the top 10.
So no worries my man :boxing:
On the contrary my friend, i do think that Tyson has every chance of beating Lennox Lewis under the theory of prime v prime, and i am a bit bemused with the fact that you believe that a prime Lewis stops a prime Tyson in 3 or 4 when (IMO) a very close to prime Lewis stopped a completely washed up Tyson in eight when they did finally fight. Let's not forget that Lewis seemed to get better with age and when he did face Tyson he was obviously the only fighter of the two that was anywhere close to his best. I think it's a pity that the Tyson fight is still looked at as Lewis's career defining fight for the reasons i have given i.e. it was a shadow of the real Mike Tyson, and it's a shame but Tyson's later fights kind of took some of the gloss off Lewis's victory over him in that so called 'career defining fight' i.e. the joke Clifford Etienne, and especially the losses to Williams and McBride. Don't get me wrong, i think Lewis is a great fighter, but i don't think too much emphasis should be placed on his victory over Tyson. I think he deserves a lot more praise for other victories in his career.
Ha Ha Ha, you're actually quite funny. I found your initial post hilarious and this one too, so i won't have a go back. However, the fact that you know so much on the subject of 'crazy' is apt because saying that Tyson was over rated is very crazy IMO. Where i come from (Planet Earth) Mike Tyson is rated (by the majority) exactly how he should be.

Tha fact is, he fought a lot more of bigger guys than him than smaller guys.
You just watched somne of his clips? Couldn't believe? Now you understand? So you're just starting out to learn. :D
Study some more son before you open your mouth again. Earn some credibilty first.
Since when did one need credibility to type messages on internet forums?
if tysons career could start over..he wouldnt have hardly as dominate as he was back then..he couldnt do lamon brewster like he did trevor berbick..he wouldnt do nicolay valuev like he did michael spinks
Don't be silly. I take it your knowledge of Tyson isn't very good if you claim that he is over rated, and if you think he is over rated how would you rate him? It wasn't so much weight advantage as height and reach advantage with many of the fighters that Tyson fought. I've seen this argument plenty of times and i always have the same answer... Tyson at his best is theoretically a match for any fighter in heavyweight history.

if you count him as overrated some others are going to have to go on that list...there were many fighters that out-weighed Tyson, not by much, but they were all basically taller
I would also like to know how come it is ok for fighters under 200lbs to get a "bye" when they move up 5-10lbs and lose, yet Heavyweights that have to fight guys that out-weigh them don't?
People used to talk a lot of shit about Chris Byrd, but that guy had massive balls.
Another bad point to your argument is if Tyson is "overrated" because guys weren't that much bigger, what about fighters like Lennox Lewis feasting on smaller fighters?
