Pedro Diaz is an extremely intelligent trainer. He brings the knowledge of good footwork and basic boxing (and good movements). Diaz' got a masters degree in physologicals aspects.
Its pretty clear after last night that Cotto's skills just aren't what they used to be. While brave and determined, he was no match for Floyd Mayweather. Ten years ago, things might have been different. But, age affects all fighters differently. Cotto will make a wonderfully entertaining journeyman and ambassador for the sport.
And kudos to team Mayweather for having the sense to wait until Cotto's skills were in decline to fight him. This is standard operating procedure for Mayweather and it was a smart move for the money. Now waiting for Mannie to get old is another story since Floyd's age is the factor between them. I suspect Floyd will continue to dodge Mannie in the same way he dodged Kostya Tszyu. In short the fight between Mannie and Floyd will never happen.
In decline? You think Mayweather is superhuman at the age of 35? :-)
I like Cotto and I know Mayorga is getting KTFO, but man I wish Cotto is the one to get knocked out now. The staredown is a important piece of the fight, just as important as the ring walk..
I can't wait to see his stamina and chin tested, I love this kid as he's also from Canada. He might bring back excitement to one of the greatest weightclass' ;-)
Because there's much more competition at SMW. He'd get killed by any top level fighter there (Kessler, Ward, Froch). There's not at WW for Pacquiao and Mayweather, only bums... So if they want to reach the great ATG list and secure a spot in the upper level, they should be challenged against the best.

floyd was getting shi.tted on for fighting an old shane but still got some props! And now manny is getting shi.tted on for fighting the guy who lost to the guy that everyone wants to see him fight!! But will you give manny more props than mayweather if manny ko shane cold?...or no props since also people say manny fights floyd's sloppy seconds.? I did give manny more props for mopping the floor with hatton and putting a good whooping on oscar! But it is kinda true about floyd's sloppy seconds!
