Because they both have big audiences willing to spend money on watching people fight.
Except wrestlers don't actually fight. You'd think the fans of the two sports should distinguish between them in that one is fake and corny.
Mosley is gonna KO that joke Judah and end his career....Judah will put up a fight in the early rounds against old Mosley, but as the fight goes on Judah will fade just like he always does and get knocked the fuck out again....You can kiss Judah's career goodbye folks, Mosley is gonna put the final nail in the cofffin.
Anybody wanna lose some points??
Joke? He's definately had a less than stellar career, not living up to his potential and has been involved in some disappointing moments in boxing. But to call him a joke is ridiculous. You think you could be beat him? What are your credentials?
Zab needs to let his hands go if he wants to win this one. He was way to gun shy against Cotto even when he had Cotto wobbled. I think If he opens up more in the mid rounds then he'll have confidence going into the later rounds. This is assuming the fight goes the distance.
its reported that hatton will take on juan lazcano and on the undercard malignaggi will be fightin n'dou again and if both hatton and malignaggi win it will set up a fight between them2....read this link http://www.skysports.com/boxing/0,19521,11067,00.html
wot i want to kno is wots so special about malignaggi...living in england we havnt seen much of his fights...i did see the fight against n'dou and wasnt really impressed...is this a walk in the park for hatton or should he be more concerned??
You weren't impressed during the N'Dou fight? Paulie boxed his ears off and knocked him down once. A shutout doesn't impress you? Jeez...
I do agree on the whole Growing Up Gotti look though. It doesn't jive with boxing in my opinion.
and oddly enough, the countdown the DLH-Forbes is on after the HOpkins fight.
Wow I'm surprised there is countdown for that one. Guess we can count on hearing the Contender theme song for at least half of it.
Unlike your posts, which we sit on the edge of our seats, anxiously awaiting.
I'm not the one making bets that I'll leave the forum if one of my guys loses. Therefore, I'm not making claims on behalf of my posts. What's it to you anyway Mr. Kentucky?
Wlad fights like a coward for such a big guy. You all saw how he fought Sultan by trying to keep his opponent away with his jab using his long reach and if the opponent was able to get close, he quickly hugs him.
If you mean by coward you mean smart, then yes. He's winning fights and securing his health down the line, what a dumbass :ugh:
If I'm Zab I shuttup and train and forget about the trash talk. Look what happened when he talked smack leading up to PBF & Cotto among others. Not a good look.
They should make a whole PPV out of this:
Roy Jones vs. Anderson Silva
Wlad Klitschko vs. Antonio Nogueira
Miguel Cotto vs. BJ Penn
Kelly Pavlik vs. Georges St. Pierre
:lol1:
I kinda thought the same thing. He was pullin out all the stops at that point. But I REALLY knew Bernard was f*cked when Ciampa was the deciding judge. Another Italian.
Hopkins has probably never hit anyone as perfectly as that punch landed
How many Hopkins fights have you seen? If I got knocked down by the first punch a 43 year old threw at me...I'd retire. Or escape back to Cricket land.
45-0 baby :boxing:
I hope he's all done in the U.S. for real. One of the most unfanfriendly styles (especially from a boxing fan's point of view). The slapping is VERY bad for boxing. Will not get any more fans from that. I'm sure plenty of people would rather watch the UFC.
i think if he wants to crack he can.but for the most part his barrages are to score points and overwhelm the opponent.you shouldn't fuck with a philosophy if it works for you.
I agree completely. That's the thing, it works fine for him. Like sometimes he hits and hits good. But when he's scoring his throwing his arms around so awkwardly. Might as well if he wins though.
Joe beat his Ass
Joe won the fight. No one got their ass beat at all. Joe was just as boring as Hop. And we learned Joe has a glassjaw. The series is tied at 1 between UK and Britain I guess. Let one of our prime fighters fight someone 40+ from the UK now
sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/35999
Who do you think will play the main event at the correct time? I know some of the sopcast usually hold back for a couple hours. Props on links btw. Domain's no faith havin ass almost made me say f*ck it and forget about this fight.
Wow...."the Irish Hitman" must really suck.
Manfredo fought where he belongs...some out of the way gym/hall or whatever.
As long as he stays off TV...good luck too him.
Nice to know he gets support from his fellow New Englanders :nonono:
Hopkins started his career at light heavy and lost, so he moved down in weight so that he could push guys around and STILL counts three welterweights amongst his biggest wins. Hopkins is good but this "legend" nonsense gets thrown around too much. Calzaghe has every bit as much right as Hopkins to be described as a "legend" but quite rightly no one calls Calzaghe a "legend" because neither Joe nor Bernard are legends.
The only reason Calzaghe isn't considered a legend is because his two biggest wins are against Kessler and Lacy.
Forget weight,
Skills wise would you seriously put Kessler and Lacy in the same league as Tarver, De La Hoya, Wright and Roy Jones?
Hopkins did fuck about with smaller guys, but some of them were world class or had legendary skills.
Thus why calzaghe isnt a legend, his best win is against some guy whos best win was against a shot Markus beyer or libero andrade.
Wait for it, wait for it:
bu bu bu but, DLH and Tito weren't in their weight class. Seriously that's the only thing that Hopkins haters can grasp onto and they know it. I wonder what weight Tito and Oscar walk around at? Shit, even Winky's trainer said in the countdown special with Hopkins that 170 was an absolute more comfortable weight for Wink to fight at. You can quote me on that. And this coming from a huge Winky fan.
