The way people talk about Rigo in here makes you think they're talking about a no talent, bum ass boxer.
If Wilfredo Vazquez Jr was able to make things difficult for Donaire, Rigo has a great chance at beating him. The Donaire hype bandwagon is out of hand in NSB.
Well same can be said about Rigo then, if Marroquin was able to rock and knock Rigo's a$$ down, then what more can Donaire do to him? The Rigo hype bandwagon is way way more out of hand here in NSB :smashfrea
Damn near every boxer has a reason to be "hated" by a segment of the population. If he isn't being "hated on" then he isn't relevant in the sport. You name the fighter and I'll give you a valid reason he may be disliked. It is what it is. The GOAT Muhammad Ali might've been the most hated fighter of all time as well. It's not until they're dead, gone, or past their prime that we look back and think: "damn I wish there was someone like him now".
Cotto: Quitter
Margo: DoucheBag cheater
Floyd: Inactivity
Manny: Company Schill
Sergio: Wont test himself at SMW
JCC Jr: spoiled lazy brat
Khan: all mouth no chin
Mares: low blow artist
K Bros: Boring
Canelo: Fights blown up Jr Welters
Broner: Conceited
Berto: roid head
Etc, Etc, etc
It's like a stereotype; its based on a sliver of truth but generally speaking its untrue.
You can also add Donaire on that list, a lot of people are hating on him for stupid reasons as well. :nonono:
I'm a huge fan of both fighters and i like the style of Nonito more tbh. But for this one, i have to go with Pacman, he was a monster when he was at 130. Superb punching power, incredible hand speed and footwork with tremendous heart and chin. And back then he's always on berserk mode, he would give you barrage of punches like there's no tomorrow! Considering Nonito's fragile face, I'd see a stoppage by the referee.
Not a bad lineup, looking forward on how Gamboa will perform after a long layoff. It's nice to know as well that they were abe to make a fight with TR considering the feud they had. Vasquez vs Gesta is a good fight as well, but i think it'll be a UD for Vasquez. :boxing:
I can only speak for myself and have been consistent in calling Nishi over the hill, barely active and a cherry picked opponent for Donaire. Have also criticized Donaire for being inactive and fighting a string of undersized opponents.
I have also been on record saying that as soon as Rigo was mentiond as a possible opponent for Donny there was a wave of posters (trolls) trying to discredit that fight by saying that Nishi is actually the best @ 122. Plenty of guys to fight -- but pick the oldest and most inactive belt holder and swear up and down that he is the #1. Doesn't hurt to have a promo company like TR parroting that nonsense.
Nishi aint fought in how long? Against who? And when did he fight before that? Against who? Wasn't he talking about retirement earlier this year? Ask yourself these questions and you can answer yourself on whether he is over the hill - YES.
It's true that he hasn't fought in a while, and has thought about retiring, but that doesn't mean he's over the hill already. Last time he went out it was against Marquez and he actually did pretty good! I would understand if he's on a loosing streak and coming from a long lay off, but that's not the case, he's actually riding a 16 fight winning streak and to say that he's over the hill is just unfair imo.
He became over the hill the moment Donaire signed the contract to fight him.
Same goes to all future opponents of Donaire, either they will be over the hill, too little for Donaire or a BUM! I'm just glad he's doing an Olympic style drug testing or else people will start shouting he's on to something! :nonono:
Donaire no doubt about it, KO in 6th! As for the other fight, if Rios fights the same way he fought Abril then I'd go with Alvarado, if not then I'd go with Rios! Can't wait, this is gonna be a great night of boxing!!!!:boxing:
if you put nishioka against any other 122 fighter aside from donaire, he would be more than a good matchup. donaire just happened to have haters that's why they're saying nishioka is a cherrypick.
Exactly! Couldn't have said it any better, it's like any boxer matched up against Nonito is always not good enough. That's why I'm hoping after this fight he would face Mares and Rigo just to shut all the HATERS up!
Well done Martinez! Pac should also do something like this, and stop with "it's up to my promoter" BS!!!! I wonder how will Mayweather feel if both Pac and Martinez call him out like this :)
Martinez by decision no doubt about it! Compared to Mayweather's previous opponents this guy is way better! He throws more puches, the way he utilize the ring is superb, has a great heart and still very very hungry. I doubt 154 would even become an issue for Martinez.
For money and to shut people up Manny if he wants to go for big glory and the biggest and best challenge then Martinez
I agree,.. but then again, Glory and Challenge? do these words still matter to him right now?
Floyd seems to have one foot in retirement already. Probably the only thing stopping him is the fact that he makes big $$$ every time out. If he cared about making a statement, he would fight both of them before his career is up. I'm not even sure he's gonna fight EITHER of them before he calls it quits.
I believe the same thing too, but at the same time I'm still hoping he would fight at least 1 of these 2 before he hang those gloves.
Pac-May is the fight that everyone wants to see, even the general public.
True, I'm just amazed that most people are still anticipating this fight given that Pac is obviously not the same as he was before.
I say Pacquiao, The money is better, the fight is easier and Mayweather is fading badly due to age and inactivity.
Well we still couldn't tell how badly he has faded after jail time since he haven't fought anyone yet,.. But based on his last fight with Cotto, he still looks better compared to Pac's previous fight.
Excuses just wouldn't stop!!! It's F*ckn' irritating already! If Pac says he would agree in getting less money and go through the freakin' drug testing, here comes Mayweather's Nut huggers saying that Mayweather would only agree to 60-40 and that Pac is just using Mayweather to promote his fight. So what if Pac agrees to 60-40 + random drug testing after the Marquez fight? Are they gonna say Mayweather would only agree to 100%? Or worst saying that Mayweather has nothing to prove anymore the same excuse FMW Sr. gave so his son won't fight Martinez!?!? Why don't they just tell us straight that Mayweather is F*cking SCARED!!!!!!!!! Geeeeez :grr:
Congratulations Brian! You've fought a very good fight, well deserved win for you. I just wish he gets the rightful recognition he deserves. This was an awesome fight!!!! :boxing:
Sure, lets say Rigo is ducking (he may be)
How does that justify fighting Vic again? This is a **** move by Donaire.
With this we can agree, I don't care if it's Donaire or Arum who came up with this but both of them should be blamed if this fight (Vic) pushes through, it's a total waste of time. The only fight I'm anticipating right now for Donaire is either Rigo or Mares.
I LOL'd at this thread.
Rigo would outclass, outbox, and dominate Donaire. Donaire has no credentials to be talking like this..at least Rigo is considered one of the greatest amateur fighters of all time..thats more of an accomplishment than anything Donaire has done.
BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHA,........ You jokin' with this right here aren't yah? Aren't yah!? :) You're funny...
