If danceswithfire, Rigo's biggest critic, says that he'll give him credit for fighting/beating Poonsawat, nobody else should be saying $hit :lol1:
lol, didnt mean to sound like a hater bro but i think ive criticised rigo for the right reasons...but this time , i dont think anyone can justly give him sh1t for this..
tbh , he could've picked any of the choices and i still would'nt have a problem with it.. he's taking the right decisions so far and i cant wait to see how he does againts a real opponent
yes he did , but he's not rated at 122, and he's coming off losses...rigo is doing the right thing here ..
if he wins , i'll give all the credit he deserves...poon is a strong fighter ,with a good left hook as well...

Did'int Agbeko just call this dude out??That's who I wanna see him fight..I'm not a true believe in Rigo...

6 guys got their wish : congratulations
..David.., CubanGuyNYC, Imatroll, inveiglement, SnakeVen0m, THE ИATAS
and props to rigo for taking this fight, should be a very good name on his resume if he wins
I like Poonsawat for Rigo, mainly because he's highly regarded. Vasquez is another fight I'd like, mainly for the exposure; but WV2 is no slouch, either. Terrazas is a good young fighter. It would be a toss-up for me between him and Vasquez.
I would've liked Nishioka, but not anymore. Mathebula would be a good scalp, but I'm not sure I like the match-up. A win over Darchinyan would be respected (judging by the posts), but it wouldn't mean all that much to me. The same goes for Agbeko. Arce seems past it, so I'm not high on him either; but Jorge would be a nice feather in Rigo's cap, nonetheless.
Darchinyan and Mathebula.
Mathebula-Donaire was a close fight, I had Donaire winning but not by a lot. The KD's really helped Donaire.
Darchinyan because he's the Raging Bull, he's a tough challenge for anybody.
i picked darchinyan and nishioka (i know he didn't show up, but i still think he's a solid fighter). agbeko and vazquez jr would be the next best options imo. any 2 of those 4 would be great for rigondeaux to have before making a donaire fight. hopefully nonito at least fights the winner of mares/moreno. that's the fight i really want to see at 122.
The last guy who bullied Glen got trashed, let's not put Rigo in a Coma.
lol...i remember when nonito said he's going to avenge his brother's loss to darchinyan nobody believed him.:D
I agree. Beating Vic or Agbeko will add weight to his resume, but it won't make him a bigger star or a bigger draw. It's not gonna change the $$$ problem. Plus, beating them will garner comparisons to Nonito/Mares/Moreno, which won't necessarily be a good thing. Darch just beat a young prospect and has a WBA ranking, so he's a more legit opponent than Agbeko, but there are still other fights that make sense.
We're talking about 122. None of these guys will make serious money. Rigo would be just as attractive as Mares or Moreno or anyone else if he beat Darchinyan. Okay, probably not Mares but anyone else easily.

Beating Darchinyan in style on a HBO main event would definitely improve his marketability.
They are the type of proven world class fighter that I need to see Rigondeaux beat. Kicking either of their asses should make a Donaire fight far more attractive.

but why?? I don't understand how beating Vic or Agbeko all of a sudden makes Rigo a much more viable opponent than he already is. Do people hold Agbeko and Darchinyan in that high of a regard? I'm not saying they aren't good fights, but it won't make Donaire turn around and say, "OMG I NEED TO FIGHT RIGO ASAP!!!"
