The jig is up on you clowns. The "deny/justify sarcasm and seriousness routine only works around you fanatical clowns. Nobody gives a rats ass what you have to say about this matter or the sport of boxing. You know who you are. Stop pretending like you know what happened between Floyd and his ex. You guys prop up the judicial system when it comes to fighters that you don't like and rip it when it hits home.
I love Mares right about now. Boxing skills, chin, defense, and heart. He is the unknown Mexican superstar. Lopez fought a hard hitting old man and did what he had to do. Didn't see too much of the Rosado Love fight. Going to watch it this morning. Floyd...what else needs to be said?
women need to be disciplined time to time,
word is she was smoking crack around the kids, so he gave her a slapNobody here will ever know the truth. These are bottom line posters. These same bottom line posters hate Floyd.
But, to me it's just a bunch of young posters who haven't really experienced life yet commenting on a situation that they are clueless about.
what happened was floyd came in the house and punched his sleeping ex and woke her up ... one of his kids got help.. thats why floyd went to jail.. No, what happened was Manny tried to chase a hurt Marquez to the ropes and tripped into Marquez's counter right and was completely knocked unconscious. They had to use smelling salts to wake your hero up, lmao! Your time is up in this sport. Goodbye *******!
Guerrero is not coming to box even though he can box a bit. He will do what I call posing-looking to box, but super aggressive. RG has trained imo solely on mixing it up with Floyd...and will attempt to lean on and push Floyd around the whole fight. I wouldn't be surprised if he attempts to foul Floyd just to turn it into a dog fight. Nothing worth getting disqualified, but fighting legally dirty lol...so to speak.
RG is not a bad offensive fighter. His problems are on defense. RG truly has faith in his chin which is why he gets hit at times. It's going to be an interesting fight.
If Floyd gets a Mackey Shilstone type trainer who can put on muscle and speed like he did for Hopkins when he fought Tarver, Canelo would have zero chance of beating Floyd.
"Guerrero was a terrible pro fighter!" would have been a better more controversial title than "Ruben Guerrero was a terrible pro fighter!"
:damnit1: I think that it's about that time to change your avy.
A lot of people didn't know how good Rigo was and how he would perform in a big fight. Having talent is one thing, but putting it all together against a top 5 pfp guy is another. Rigo's fans knew how good he may have truly been. I knew he was good, but I didn't expect him to walk all over Donaire like he did, and show great defense. I expected a Donaire ko. Rigo surprised a lot of his own fans. Props to Rigo. He earned them in the ring where it counts.
Boxing knowledge does not come down to picking winners and losers. We all have picked guys to win and they lost.
The heart can't ever be measured when it comes to this fight game.
Jay Nady is one sorry ass ref. Ponce deserved to finish on his back or on his feet by tko by not throwing back. Mares was superb last night don't get me wrong, and he probably finishes Ponce, but Ponce deserved better. He was the champ. Nady you suck!
based on quality of recent foe and performance
I will post top 3 only
Ward, martinez and then rigo
I am sure fan boys can put pac and floyd in but those two have not defeated any top p4p fighter in a long long time, they also cherry pick and refused to fight each otherDisregard this thought folks. It's fake.
He ran for his life in the fight, didn't he? The crowd was booing. It's embarrassing.
So yes. It proved that he respected Donaire too much that he wasn't the one who chased the flash and went for a KO. Are you people not watching?
:unitedsta
What a dumb ****ing comment.
Abner Mares is a guy I flip flop on because he should have a DQ loss on his resume. I rank him at times, and then I don't...don't know why. Second, Mares resume is as tough as anyones in this game. If anyone belongs some where in the top 10, it's Mares. But I can't get that Agbeko fight out of my mind at times.
He did , he won 117-111 on two cards the judge that gave a draw obviously is a fan of spoiling tactics . But back to the point Hopkins isn't top 10 p4p just because he beat Cloud . PAC despite recent form is far more deserving that Hopkins as are may othersNo, Pac is not more deserving than Hopkins. Hopkins beat a young, undefeated champion, and imo was not outclassed by Dawson. Pac was ktfo cold.
Rigo getting some strong hate. I expected him to get KOed, I thought the difference in pro experience would lead to an easy night for donaire. Rigo proved me wrong and he deserves his due. Shutting out Donaire in your 13th pro fight is a huge deal. Rigo is getting the same hate floyd did, when your skill is that great they cannot insult it they just say he was boring blah blah blah.Good post. I was shocked at how donaire couldn't hit Rigo. Rigo always had good offense. Nobody doubted that. It was Rigo's defense that shocked me. Donaire could hit him if he had 4 arms.
Yup, I was predicting Rigo to outbox him.. But not in this manner. :lol1: Made him look like a teenage sparring partner against a seasoned veteran. Never thought Donaire was all that people were hyping him up to be, only chance I gave him to win this fight was him landing that devastating left hook.. Much respect to Rigo.Good post.
We already knew he was probably the best Amateur boxer of all time.
With last nights performance I am going to put it out there that Rigondeaux is probably the most skilled boxer to ever step into the ring.
We just saw a 32 year old fighter on the downside of his prime dismantle a top 5 p4p fighter in his prime.
I am not saying he is unbeatable, he still has to prove that against a fighter who can take his punches and is willing to eat them to deliver their own like a Roberto Duran, but skill wise I think it can now be argued that he is without equal.
The closest I can think of is maybe Pernell Whitaker, but Rigo is equally slick, is better at controlling the pace of fights, and is more precise with his punches.
Man just stfu, lmao! Rigo has a lot more to do than just winning one fight. He proved he was the goods, now he has to prove that he has longevity. You wouldn't know that of course being a Homer and penis rider of Rigo.
lol I was also wrong. I thought Donaire would beat the dog **** out of him, but almost every round Rigo made him look terrible. I thought Donaire would have a better gameplan than "plod forward and spam left hooks" or maybe Rigo just took away his plan
But credit to Rigo for outclassing the best little man. :)Good post. Too bad Rigo is 32. His window is closing fast.
Can't hate on Rigo one bit. He may be one of the best defensive fighters in the game. I knew he had skill, but I thought that his chin would let him down. It held up good last night. Rigo looked very strong last night.
