Guerrero will be motivated for this fight. Just because he's southpaw doesn't mean that he will give Floyd trouble. Guerrero's heart and hand speed may keep him in the fight for a while. Guerrero has a granite chin, but his body is soft. Can Guerrero win? Of course. He's 30 years old, and in his absolute prime. He's actually bigger than Floyd, and he has some pop in his punches.
Floyd is a defensive master. Going back to 147 will benefit Floyd tremendously. Floyd similar to Sugar Ray Leonard can box can box and brawl when he has to. Floyd lately has stayed on the ropes because like any aging fighter, so that he can find time to rest and let his opponent use up his energy. Floyd does not have to worry about Guerrero's jab like he had to do with Cotto. Floyd loves these types of fights because he can shoulder roll Guerrero's whole style if Guerrero doesn't commit to the jab. Guerrero has a flair for throwing and landing good shots.
If Guerrero can land the jab, use his feints and utilize hand speed just to get close to Floyd, he will be able to bang away at Floyd's body...and wear Floyd down a bit. Something is telling that Floyd will do what Guerrero needs to do and that Floyd will win a UD.
Premature thoughts, but this is the feeling I have right now.
If Floyd gets a Mackey Shilstone type trainer who can put on muscle and speed like he did for Hopkins when he fought Tarver, Canelo would have zero chance of beating Floyd.
Jay Nady is one sorry ass ref. Ponce deserved to finish on his back or on his feet by tko by not throwing back. Mares was superb last night don't get me wrong, and he probably finishes Ponce, but Ponce deserved better. He was the champ. Nady you suck!

Right On The "Money" ... :fing02::usa2:
I love Mares right about now. Boxing skills, chin, defense, and heart. He is the unknown Mexican superstar. Lopez fought a hard hitting old man and did what he had to do. Didn't see too much of the Rosado Love fight. Going to watch it this morning. Floyd...what else needs to be said?
Missed your earlier post....
How many times does Jim Grey have to ask the "ring rust" question because its been a year since his last fight.
I didn't see no damn "ring rust". Sharpest I've seen him in a while. RG should've bullied him a bit more like Ortiz did, but Floyd played it smart by tying up his left arm.
I got the fight wrong. RG just didn't have the quickness to deal with Floyd. I didn't expect Floyd to be this damn quick. His legs looked great tonight too.
Got damn, that right hand was on sniper mode.

Either way, Floyd put on a great performance, and it's safe to say that no one's beating him at WW, so lets stop beating around the bush and demand a Canelo/Trout/Sergio matchup.
IMO Martinez would be an easy fight for Floyd, but the Trout that picked apart Cotto could give him problems with his size and reach advantage. Canelo's too big.
All we want to hear now is how you had this prediction so wrong.... how could you possibly see this slow plodding guy out jabbing & out boxing Floyd?

Don't be surprised when those sneaky lefts tag Floyd in the beginning, and the fight gets really interesting.
No one said he's only going to jab him all night. The beauty with Guerrero is, he can adjust as well, and he's very smart in the ring. I don't think he'll get suckered into following Floyd to the ropes.
Unlike Ortiz, Guerrero will be able to follow a game plan without getting sidetracked by his own retardation. That's the key, I don't think he's going to let Floyd's counters deter him. Guerrero got that dog in him.

Wonder what prediction you will make for Moneys next fight... look me up
Congratulations to Floyd, but don't act like picking Floyd was some ground breaking stuff. I picked Robert because I thought Floyd was getting a step slower, and RG would bring that lefty boxing style with a mix of brawling, but guess I was wrong.

Lol Judah better then Guerrero, between the two Guerrero has the far better wins. Judah is nothing special, even his attributes are highly overrated. Guerrero would dominate Judah during any point of their careers and maybe even TKO him. Judah is that overrated that I believe Guerrero would utterly belittle him in the ring and TKO him in the process.
Maybe I took is to far saying it's completly useless, but the type of fight believe Guerrero will fight he going to really nullify it. Remember Judah dosn't have a plan B and once he matched physically he folds like wet paper.
Guerrero is world class not matter what boxing fans think. Styles make fights and majority fighters lose, I just fight Saturday night will be end of an era. The guy is slowing down and fighting a fighter who does everything good with A-plus stamina.
I think the era you saw ending was HBO as the leader in ppv fights..
I really have a feeling the Mayweather era is coming to a close. The shoulder roll defense will be useless against the southpaw Guerrero, I believe that Guerrero will have enough in the tank to push Mayweather to the ropes and smartly pick shots. The kid is a smart fighter, probably smarter then Cotto, Ortiz, and Mosley. He knows how to fight dirty and how to box when he needs to.
Mayweather might have cherrypicked the wrong fighter this time. I feel he believes Guerrero will just walk into shots ala Hatton, but he will be in for a big surprise. Mayweather is a good fighter, but the fact that his opponents have all been carefully picked is no secret, but when it comes down to it, the guy who wants to win the most will win this fight. I'm picking Guerrero by 10th round TKO is this Saturday night. The kid is relentless and has a ton of skills boxing fans tend to overlook.
And now we can keep overlooking Guerrero....
BOXING CLINIC from Floyd Mayweather, his best display since JMM which I think was the last time him and his father was cool and his father was part of his CAMP
Some Of You can Keep reaching for HOPE but realistically...I think Mayweather is going to fukin KILL THIS DUDE and because of his Father's mouth I would not be shocked if he stops Guerrero not with one punch but an accumulation of ACCURATE PUNCHES
A Flat Footed Fighter Against Mayweather? Some of his most memorable performances came against FLAT FOOTED FIGHTERS! Can Guerrero win some rounds maybe get in some good shots? Absolutely! But Ultimately Mayweather Will Figure Him Out And Start To Pick Him Apart
Best Of Luck to Both Fighters Though!
^Pretty Much How I Said It Would Go! Learn your boxing, stop picking fights with your emotions and because you don't like someone personally and really learn about the fukin Sport!

Guerrero is not coming to box even though he can box a bit. He will do what I call posing-looking to box, but super aggressive. RG has trained imo solely on mixing it up with Floyd...and will attempt to lean on and push Floyd around the whole fight. I wouldn't be surprised if he attempts to foul Floyd just to turn it into a dog fight. Nothing worth getting disqualified, but fighting legally dirty lol...so to speak.
RG is not a bad offensive fighter. His problems are on defense. RG truly has faith in his chin which is why he gets hit at times. It's going to be an interesting fight.
I found Renuente far more impressive in his fight with the Turkish Warrior. If Renuente beats Berto it will prove how overhyped and absolute s h ! t the Ghost is.
The Turkish Warrior was just walking in and landing flush right hands all night. How does the Ghost (who claims to make adjustments in the ring) let a guy with no technique and no jab land right hands all night? Money is going to chop the Ghost up
Aydin has a very awkward style. I'm not going to defend the fight, and try and convince you that Guerrero looked like Pernell in there, but Aydin is not Floyd, and Floyd is not Aydin.
Floyd is more measured in his attack, waits, and throws single shots.
How do you explain fights like Forrest vs. Mayorga? Some people are just effective at fighting goofy, simple as that.
