Make The Ring belt the only world title and rename it as World Title. Get Hearn to buy into Ring Magazine with Oscar and keep it within DAZN for 10 years. Work with local boards and commissions across all countries to ensure standardized PED testing for all licenced fighters. Unify as many alphabet titles as possible over time only on DAZN (a few years) and then immediately vacate them all which makes them paper titles and not recognised by fans and media. Eventually all the titles held hostage on other networks will have been moved to DAZN through unification. Make the champion defend their title once every 6 months or lose it. With this plan you maintain the lineage of all four sanctioning bodies unified under one World Title but you only ever get one champ per division. After 10 years all belts will be condensed into one title.

I don't understand the silence. He could gain a lot of good PR by saying 'Fury is the champ, I'm injured, I want to be champ again over the next couple of years and I will knock out whoever I must to make that happen.' It kind of seems like an open secret that Ruiz has a 7 figure fight offer to fight Whyte. Will he do it, or will Al Haymon convince him he can get a title shot by fighting Ortiz/Breazeale instead? Seems like a no brainer to try and take that mandatory shot for the WBC strap from Whyte.

It makes sense from a business point of view for PBC and Haymon. Everything kept in house for longer. FOX or Showtime will not have to share a PPV with ESPN for a Fury fight. Ruiz v Ortiz potentially becomes a big deal. A Deyonce v Ortiz rubber match might actually turn a profit. Deyonce will not have to risk losing to out of house contenders (Whyte, Fury, AJ). It just depends on how shady all these guys are and whether Deyonce is in on it. It's far more likely to see something strange here than what happened with Canelo/Kovalev. I mean, what happened with Deyonce getting an extra 40 seconds to recover in the first fight shows you that. I just see no way that Ortiz can win legit when he's about 50 years old and has slowed considerably. Look out for it.

Haymon hasn't put on a show since his one and only show which was the DeGale and Eubank PPV. Did he lose money? I thought it was easy to make it in the UK?

Why hasn't this announcement been made? They said it was done on May 29th. It's now August 6th.

Rivas is 32 years old. Ortiz is 48. Both have equal professional records but Rivas holds wins over Ruiz Jr and Pulev in the amateurs. Ortiz has nothing close to that.

He ate some hard and clean left hooks from Joshua as well as some straight rights in the exchanges. Even when he got dropped he never looked bothered. Those some punches knocked out Povetkin who also had an iron chin yet Ruiz ate them easily.

If AJ beat Ruiz he would have cemented A side status in the US having sold 20k at MSG. In defeat, AJ's name has gone up, Ruiz's name has gone up, Wilders name has plateaud on the back of a rematch with Ortiz that nobody asked for and Fury's name has plateaud because he is fighting Schwarz that nobody has asked for or cares about. It looks like Ruiz v AJ 2 is landing at MSG ($8.99/$20) and will be a bigger success than Deyonce v Fury 2 ($80). If AJ wins the rematch in convincing fashion he is in a hell of a strong position as the A side in the US and Fury and Wilder may have just taken one or the other out of the equation anyway. If Ruiz wins the rematch, by then he will probably be drawing Canelo numbers and will also be the A side in the division. Who the hell is gonna be paying more than 4x the price of Ruiz/AJ 2 for Deyonce v Fury 2? Chess not checkers. Eddie is taking over America. Hearn and DAZN > Haymon, Arum and PPV ripoffs. It almost makes me wonder if AJ and Hearn had this in mind all along.

The guys who said the NYSAC regularly ensure the fighters get checked out as an excuse for Wilder being saved from Ortiz said this was normal protocol, yet I didn't see it for AJ. I want to know whether those guys are willing to admit it was corruption, or did the NYSAC just not care about Joshua's health as he staggered through the fight?

Rematch in Vegas, with many more American/Mexican eyes on the fight. It's the biggest fight of the year, no? Bigger than Canelo/Jacobs. It certainly eclipses Wilder v Ortiz or Fury. If he can win in spectacular fashion in a rematch then he gets his career back on track and looks for the trilogy or undisputed fight. Like it or not, everybody in America knows AJ now if they didn't before.

I thought Deyonce was strangling it to death with his endless ducking but last night's upset has changed the whole landscape. Does AJ win the rematch? Does Ruiz win again? Does Ortiz fluke a big win? Does Schwarz? How do Fury and Deyonce make mega money now? Nobody is interested in their potential rematch after what has happened here. The AJ/Ruiz rematch in Vegas will be HUGE with the Mexican fans all on board the Ruiz train now. It's a far bigger event with more stakes. So many possibilities.

It's my understanding that Whyte v Breazeale was ordered for the WBC Interim title. Does this mean the winner would have become mandatory? Whyte is claiming he will sue the WBC if they claim Wilder is making a mandatory defence against Breazeale as he and Breazeale have already been ordered to fight for that mandatory spot and he is not pulling out. He's claiming that a Wilder defence against Breazeale can only be a voluntary because of what the WBC ordered and he will be the new mandatory. Fury really screwed things up for Wilder if that's the case :lol1:

The better win is against the undefeated Rudenko, and he won 2 world titles.

To pay him $50m you would need 666k PPV buys at $75 in the US (this is before networks take their cut!). Twice as many buys required as Wilder vs Fury. Agree or disagree? And by the way I'm not AJ fanboys. Fury is #1, AJ #2 and Deyonce #3 so keep that **** out the thread.

I really doubt it. Unless PBC can get their hands on Fury or Joshua for full control they will not lose their cash cow at heavyweight just yet. With the draw they saved their investment, it was clear corruption. They will not risk Wilder getting knocked out by AJ or being beaten more comprehensively by Fury. I think Wilder will fight Ortiz again next, and then maybe Fury or Joshua after that.
