The guys who said the NYSAC regularly ensure the fighters get checked out as an excuse for Wilder being saved from Ortiz said this was normal protocol, yet I didn't see it for AJ.
I want to know whether those guys are willing to admit it was corruption, or did the NYSAC just not care about Joshua's health as he staggered through the fight?
It either a deep, complex, far reaching, conspiracy to rob Joshua of his unearned belts.
Or...
A simple fact that he can't take a shot well and has no defensive skill at all.
Literally nobody said Wilder should have lost by knockout. Stop deflecting.
Isn't that what the complaint is about the doctor? That Ortiz was robbed of his chance to finish Wilder off because Wilder supposedly had too much time to recover?
And if this recovery time was so egregious that it changed the result of the fight, wouldn't a rematch be warranted?

Half the board was saying the fight should have been waived off and you know it!
Hey man, let's call it even for all the extra time Tyson Fury got from Jack Reiss.
I can admit that Joshua was not granted his customary time-outs this time, tough luck for A.J. This is complicated, considering the knockdowns just happened in the third round, I don't feel there was enough damage inflicted in Joshua-Ruiz like there was for Wilder-Ortiz -- in which both men had to endure seven rounds of punishment.
Checking on both Joshua and Ruiz would probably take too much time -- how many doctors do they have assigned to supervise? One? So he's got to run over to check Ruiz then head to the opposite corner to check on A.J?! The doctor can't ignore one over the other.
So they let them fight, because that's what they came to do.
Depends on the situation honestly. In the Wilder fight you had a guy on unsteady legs that was catching heat for the last 45 seconds of a round trying to hold on. In the Joshua fight you had a round where both guys suffered knockdowns with Joshua being knocked down twice but still giving a good account for himself with the second KD happening before the bell. When he got up his legs didn't look unsteady and he walked back to the corner like a man more tired than hurt but that's just the way I saw it.
I wouldn't have objected if they wanted to take a look at Joshua before the start of the 4th round. But i'm not such a fanboy that I have to start coming up with conspiracy theories on corruption because a fighter I like lost while a fighter I dislike was able to turn it around and win. I also think the ref should of gave him is mouthpiece back and let him continue.
Was Wilder vs. Ortiz controversial or not? Wilder agrees to a rematch to squash the controversy and everyone complains that the rematch is pointless because Wilder already knocked him out, but then still complains that Wilder should have lost by knockout. Which is it?

Thats a great question. The fight was in new york, Joshua was KD twice in that third round, Ruiz was KD once. So that is a legit question. The question isn't about the ref. It's about the doctor. And i would love a good answer to that.
If you watched boxing you’d see that happened in more than just the wilder fight. Off the top of my head, it happened during Beterbiev/Hot Rod just a few weeks ago.
And the ref gave Joshua 25 seconds in the corner before waiving it off.
