When it comes to boxers who recently turned pro, it's more about gaining experience than record padding. In boxing, a fighters in ring and monetary potential are maximized. Fighter's shouldn't just "step up" before they're ready like the idiots in this thread are saying. It's almost like some of you are unaware that amateur fights are 5 rounds and championship fights are 12.
Wait.. you think mma fighters are at the top of their game when they turn pro?
I have no idea and I don't care. I was talking about boxing...ya know, the sport this site is supposed to be about.
Also, lol at the bold :lol1:
Oops I was wrong. It's actually less than that. That proves my point even more.
Even if that's true, it's not Wilder's responsibility to do what's in another fighter's best interest. You want money, win the big fights. Then you make the calls.
So, basically, this is a thread for people like OP who don't like Errol Spence and don't want to admit the real reason why because they know it's foolish, and therefore are searching to find a just reason to not like him, so they can hide behind that.
You guys should actually watch the interview. Floyd Sr. has Alzheimer's or something
She needs to stop harassing Floyd Sr for interviews. She stays in the Mayweather gym trying to get Floyd Sr to confirm a comeback. Floyd Sr is clearly not right in the head and needs to be left alone.
That's not even funny. She was very uncomfortable with that. That's someone else's wife/gf/sister/mother or whatever. No one would like that sort of sexual assault. This is why i hate the fact that boxing doesn't have one umbrella sort of thing, the book need to be thrown at him. Women need to be allowed to do their jobs without this sort of retard things, this is why all men get that look from women. That was phucked up and i hope he gets his ranking removed for it, or better yet i hope she press charges for sexual assault.
Agreed 100%. You want to really be disgusted, read the comments on that article and on Twitter.
WTF? You think boxers are a bunch of cavemen who can't' control themselves, so this should basically be normal behaviour if you're a boxer? She should be able to wear whatever she wants without being harassed. You sound like those people who blame rape victims because the woman was wearing "'provocative clothes'".
Pulev's move was far from awesome and yes that's definitely inappropriate behavior.
It was inappropriate and it's alarming how many people think its no big deal. She could be someone's GF/Wife. Let someone do that to one of these posters sister/mom/wife and let's see if it's no big deal then.
I'm not going to be as nice as everyone else in this thread sugarcoating the obvious...This is a dumba.s.s thread. "Lomachenko ducked turning pro" really...
And this is why I don't take a majority of fans serious. His Postol fight alone is better than 99.9% of current boxers out there. Unlike most over hyped fighters, he's actually unified, and conquered an entire division.
What??? Damn near every fighter who's top 10 p4p has a win better if not equal to Postol on their resume. When you say 99.9% of current boxers, I'm assuming you're talking about the ones who've actually reached the top of their division and not everyone who's decided to step in the ring for a pro fight.
Postol was a good little fighter, but he was not a top fighter in the sport, and to compare that win to a potential Spence win is beyond foolish...And you've got the nerve to say YOU don't take a majority of fans serious.
That won't happen...but if we're just gonna throw out anything...
What if Khan beats Crawford and Spence with ease?
F.u.ck it what if this happens. I mean, if we just gonna make up anything.
Porter generally has to bully his opponent to have success. He's not going to bully Spence and he's not the better boxer, nor does he hit as hard. He has no chance.
I care way more about taking those 2 lbs from him. Canelo is a tank lol
He would have lost anyway but that was one of the worst drainings ever and it showed
Can you explain what Canelo showed in the fight that makes it "one of the worst drainings ever"?
Since that fight, Canelo has continued to gas after the first half of fights. It's not something that's specific to the Mayweather fight. Canelo just fought Jacobs and as usual didn't throw punches after the 6 rounds allowing Jacobs to make the fight close.
To say a fighter was drained, means they weren't able to do what they usually do in terms of conditioning and durability. What exactly did Canelo do before and after the Mayweather fight that he didn't do in that fight?
