When you thought of Tyson as the "baddest man on the planet" you could believe he could defeat or even possibly kill any man on the planet.
Are there any boxer now or the last few years who have anything similar to that vibe or why not?

True.
Mike Tyson fought only ONE good fighter in whole career in Lewis. His resume is shit.
You can only fight who is in front of you pending contractual and financial obligations.
Wladimir's resume is pathetic too. So is Joshua's.
So, Tyson is more skilled than those guys? The guy was a bully, and when it didn't work, you saw what happened starting with Buster Douglas.
It's easy to be superficial about Tyson, behind that he was very skilled but don't take my word for it, check out the videos that go well beyond superficiality.
Yeah, I saw it too when Mitch Green stood up to Tyson too, both in the ring and outside of it. Remind me, what happened to him?
I also remember when Clifford Etienne stood upto him. Same with Brian Nielsen, Buster Mathis, Peter McNugget, Frans Botha, Julius Francis, Tony Tucker, James Tillis, Bonecrusher Smith and Jose Ribalta. They all got splattered. This whole "if you stood up to Tyson you could beat him" nonsense has to stop. There is enough historical data out there to suggest the exact opposite.
Standing up to the bully is useless if you have more courage than skill.
Those were D- bums.
Im confused cuz when Wilder threatened dudes lives everyone was sooooo upset like Mike didnt used to..
But yea Mike was ****ing crazy and was a giant since 14. So he had a long time to build that type of aura.

Wilder tried to do that. And just like Tyson, he couldn't sustain it long term.
Tyson had that fear factor for 20 years right until his retirement. Perhaps not amongst his peers in the ring but within the public he had that aura.
Infact, well into his retirement he still had that aura of menace (2010-ish). It's only when he became a fat tub of goo and weighed 350lbs and then became a medicated pot-head that he finally lost his aura and he was just an old 50 year old washed up athlete. Make no mistake though, Mike could have walked into ANY room in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000's and 2010's and the room would have stopped and all the focus would have been on him. He was an icon.
Wilder just seems like an imbecile who screams "BOMB SQUAD" at every opportunity as though he is suffering from Tourette's Syndrome
LOL You have no clue.

I would have to imagine that someone getting into the ring with prime Roy Jones would have known they fucked up.
Kovalev had that scary aura for a bit.
Vitali definitely had it. Scary calculating, terminator mofo.
Not true. He was a good boxer with a lot of power, and that's it. Skill for skill, he wouldn't come close to someone like Floyd, or even Sergio Martinez.

Wilder isn’t too far off. Some comments he makes are spooky. Plus he is heavy handed
These days it's harder. Guys like tyson from the 80s/90s weren't scrutinized as much back then for fighting lesser competition. People went by what they hear and see, and tyson was seen as the ultimate bad guy who was tough and ferocious. Social media and the internet weren't as prevalent and people back then don't have much info on what happens behind the scenes as much as they do today.
Because nobody as good as he was

Because good boxers are paid so well these days and live comfortable lives compared to other eras. So no need for that. They do their talking in the ring.
I just thought of him as a good fast hard punching heavyweight no more intimidating than the prime Liston, Foreman, or Louis. Holyfield and Douglas were not intimidated by Tyson.
