Roach can afford this loss actually. Khan should get someone who can really dedicate the time. Khan needs someone to show him how to throw a jab and box for 12 rds.
The dude is coming up on 26!!!!! If he hasn't learned it yet, with his obvious intellectual limitations, he ain't ever learning it.
The Problem ain't the trainer!!!!
Amir Khan's problem sure as hell isn't Freddie Roach.
Doesn't matter which trainer he goes with he doesn't listen to instructions, especially when he is under pressure.
I think Adam Booth would be a good choice but he is quite strict so I'm not sure he would put up with Khan not listening to him. Also if David Haye or George Groves were fighting around the same time as Khan do you really think he would make Khan his top priority? Not a chance
He wasn't "after world champions" when he ducked Junior Witter for years.. Hatton is a good liar, most of his fans just lapped up everything he said and took it for granted without stopping to think that Hatton actually ducked his main rival in the division at the time. They made excuses about Witter's character, about his personality, his hairstyle.. but they all conveniently forgot he was the world champion, in the same division, the same country, top 3 in the world, and Hatton ran away like a scared child. I'm sick of Hatton's bull, just hope he gets knocked out by Senchenko and retires permenently, the good for nothing coke fiend.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
He later went on to fight Floyd Mayweather, one of the all time greats, got beaten soundly and picked himself up to fight a prime Manny Pacquiao, another all time great. But yeah he is a fraud and a coward for not fighting Junior Witter.
Nope, he looked okay in the first 5 rounds or so because Jones was fighting at Kell's pace.
Somebody with high work rate & pressure will stop him.
Boxers like Alexandra would easily out point him & I'm not even a fan of Alexandra.
He looked absolute amateur on the ropes as well, he was side on with his left hand down, leaving that side exposed to shots.
He fights with his hands down because he relies on his exceptional reflexes to avoid punches. Not the wisest of styles IMO but it generally works for him and he is not the only fighter to do it.
I think people make too many judgements from single performances, he said he wasn't properly prepared and he suffered second half of the fight. If that's true then we will all be expecting an improvement next time out. Jones didn't start early because Brooks jab was a massive deterrent and the right hands he was following up with are not easily taken!!!
Well said. Last thing boxing needs is undefeated fighters who indulge in great fights on tv in an effort to fight for a world title. We need more sensible posters like you.
hahahahahahahahaha
Superb
Learning Experience
Don't think he was having a dig at anyone, all the top fighters have trainers and conditioning coaches and nutritionists in their camps. I'm not sure Kell has someone spefically for each area!!!
First 6 rounds proved to me that he will make it to the very top if he gets his fitness sorted. Jones said he didn't start quick enough but I just don't think he could get near brook till he tired
Rematch is on!!!
Its pretty obvious to me that if Bradley gets beat he has zero marketability, no chance of a rematch and no where left to go but back to small purses and obscurity.
But now look whats happened, Manny Pacquiao is as popular as ever (perhaps more so because now his fans think he has been unfairly treated), Tim Bradley has a title and came across well on 24/7 so has probably increased his fan base and there is the guarantee of a November remtach!!! Whats that sound you hear??? It's Bob Arum lining his pockets with gullible boxing fans money. The guy is a disgrace and he should be investigated and banned from boxing at least. Will it happen? not a chance cos money talks and he is making a hell of a lot of it.
There is no way that Bob Arum will allow Mannh Pacquaio anywhere near Floyd Mayweather, and not because he is scared of getin beat, but because e doesnt want to share that money with anyone.
Expect a rematch in November with a Pacquiao revenge win, then the inevitable trilogy decider fight, then possibly a 4th Marquez fight to say goodbye with.
Manny needs to grow a pair and give Bob the boot just like Floyd and Cotto did.
The Pot calling the kettle black. The same guy who had a chance to fight Alexander, pulled out and immediately signed up to fight another cab driver. Shut the heck up already. Don't blame Khan, blame Mr. Cherry Picker. I am not a Khan fan but can't hate on him in this situation. Khan is just doing what everyone of us will do. Take to a job that pays considerable more.
Your 'facts' are wrong....
Alexander pulled out first time.
Stoped reading the article as soon as it described mayweather as 'the flash yank'!!!!!
w@nker
I agree
Haye's strategy should be to try and get Fury out as quickly as possible.
Haye has also brought in some questionable sparring partners. The only thing Wilder, Towers and Wach have in common with Fury is that they are tall, that's it. None of them move as well as Fury, none of them have an inside game like Fury, none of them have a jab like Fury.
I've gotta disagree with that!!!
Fury is flat footed, slow and has terrible, terrible footwork.
He leans on smaller opponent because of his size but he has never fought anyone as fast as Haye, who will catch him coming in and be out of there before Fury knows what has happened.
One shot from Haye could end the fight at any time.
Tyson Fury is, pure and simple, a buffoon!!!!!
He is a bum and any world class heavyweight knocks him clean out.
He always has a punchers chance as he is heavy handed but as soon as he steps up he gets destroyed. Price mangles him early IMO
Hearn's a muppet
devon will make brook look stupid imo
Nowhere near as stupid as this post makes you look.
Brook hasn't fought anywhere near the level the Alexander has but that doesn't mean he can't.
Devon has been given gifts a few times in his career, the fact that this fight is not in St. Louis makes me think GBP might be ready to cut him loose and replace him with Brook???
50/50 fight for me the only thing that's sure is that Brook will give him a real tough night
I think Nathan Cleverly is properly over rated and is definitely not world level. BUT i agree with whoever said his activity beats B-HOP. One thing Cleverly does is work his a** off every fight. He throws a lot of punches and does not give the other guy a break.
I don't think that a 48 year old Hopkins can live with the pace he would set. I would love to see B-HOP break him down physically and mentally but that's gotta be wishful thinking???
Lots of 'If's' and 'I thinks' in there Lennox.
If I was TT i'd be aiming at Price's neck.
Did you read the article?
He said "I think" once.
I'm nervous for David Price in this fight.
Khan is an absolute moron!!!
I will be surprised if he gets past Alexander.
Floyd demolishes him and stops him in the mid rounds.
Khan has NOTHING to trouble Floyd, what good is speed when you have no power are still easy to hit?
He was put on qu33r street by a career lightweight in his last fight.
Stop putting this clowns ravings in the public forum, no-one cares.
The fact that George Groves was a sparring partner for Carl Froch's last opponent should really tell you all you need to know.
The only thing Groves has that could trouble Froch is his movement, but Froch will walk him down all night and if he traps him on the ropes it will be an early night.
Far, far too big a step up in class here for Haye. You can't go from fighting jokers like Audley, Chisora, Enzo, Valuev and Bonin to facing a Tyson Fury. We saw what happened last time Fury fought someone on Haye's level against Steve Cunningham and that's what will happen to Haye too, ie get squashed like a bug.
Haye can come back from this defeat and fight David Price for his British title. This defeat wont be the end of Haye.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I had to read the first line of your post twice to make sure I understood it!!!
Haye is stepping up in class?? To fight Tyson Fury?
GTFOH
Fury is a bum, Haye is 2 weight world champion.
Haye knocks Fury out. Cold
This thread got hardcore jacked by the p@ct@rd5!!!!!
I don't understand why people are saying Pacquiao has always wanted the fight???? Did I miss something??
There is blame on both sides but to claim Pac has always wanted the fight and has been going out of his way to get it is ridiculous
I live in the uk and spoke to someone this week that knows the Hattons. he said there is NO WAY Ricky Hatton will fight. Apparently he has been back in rehab cos of his drug and drink problems and that's why he has lost so much weight. They didn't want the press to know so put out a story of a comeback!!!!
Sad really
You kind of agree with me lol.
Kind of lol!!!!!
I'd like to Ortiz win this if I'm honest, I dont like the way Canelo has been wrapped in cotton wool. How many fights has he had so far? 40?? at 21 years old? ridiculous, I think Ortiz is capable of stopping him if he brings his A game
Hi Bob Arum here we would like to offer your fighter Kell Brook next to no money to fight Tim Bradley for the title. This is a fight that your boy will have absolutely no chance of winning unless Bradley gets KTFO. By the way we will be asking Kell to wear 18 Oz gloves and all three judges will be from Nevada.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Uncle Bob
Eddie Hearn leaked this official email outlining the terms of the offer this morning............ can't believe Kell didn't take the fight
This isn't a "choice" team Brook have made. It's a mandatory eliminator. For some reason people like Amir Khan and Victor Ortiz can avoid jumping these hoops but unfortunately for Kell his only way to the title is through this guy!!
Hopefully Brook has learned a lesson from the Carson Jones fight and will come into this figh in prime condition and box this guys head off. Hopefully.......
Floyd beats Manny
I'm a fan of Floyd he has the skills and the defence to take Manny apart.
My personal opinion is that if you watch pacquiaos last 2 fights (Moseley & Marquez) he looks like a completely different fighter, he looks slower and his punches look a LOT lighter. I obviously don't know if he ever used PEDs or not but I sure as hell don't think he is using them now.
Harsh!!!
A bit Harsh guys, there isn't a top fighter in the world today that doesn't have nutritional experts, dieticians, conditioning coaches etc. to try and get in the very best shape.
If it was as easy as sleeping and eatingwell and running a lot then fighters wouldn't spend thousands on these people to tune them up properly. Performing at an elite level is very very different to training part-time or doing it for fun.
Time will tell if this is a good step or not but I don't see how it can do him any harm.
I was undecided about buying this fight but I'm going for it now!!
I actually can't believe they are not making this greasy cheating turd take proper tests. How has he been allowed to fight for so long when he clearly juices. I watched the interview with Andy Lee where he said his punches didn't even slow jr down and he he was getting stronger and hitting harder the longer the fight went on.
I hope Martinez spanks him hard cos there is no way the judges are giving him the close rounds
Rematch Fail
The only thing I'd like to see as far as Pacquiao and Bradley are concerned is a complete PPV boycott of the rematch!!!
Seriously what possible reason can people have for buying that fight? I just don't get it
And as far as the thread goes, Amir Khan is a limited, amateur style, boxer who makes himself look more of t!t every time he opens his mouth.
Nothing he says surprises me anymore cos I live in the UK and unfortunately Sky Sports pumped a ton of money into him again earlier this year. Which means we have to listen to him talk on pretty every boxing related issue or show they have.
The guy is an absolute tool
If Canelo beats Floyd, alot of things will change in boxing, and for the better I might ad.
Canelo is a possitiv rolemodel, a good looking kid with carisma and grace, something Ali had something Oscar had, floyd is a criminel, hypocrit, lieing snake
Ali is remembered as a charismatic all time great but was widely regarded, during his career, as a brash, loudmouth draft dodger. The American public hated Ali for a long time.
I have seen several interviews with Alvarez and he has never once struck me as being charismatic. Camera-shy is probably how I would describe him.
I think the fact you said he is good looking is probably the root of your opinion.
Special Kell! Why do you know a Kell that can box better than Kell Brooks? He can call himself Special Kell all he wants. Alexanders name is Devon so Kell calling himself special Kell should'nt bother Alexander!!! He's an insecure clown and so is his trainer!!
Dude seriously WTF are you talking about?
