and they both got payed $2m and $3m each
LMAO PENNIES
Plus PPV cuts, some said that McGregor could take up to 50 million but I would assume it to be somewhere around 20-35 million more likely
Fantastic! It was told that he will be there but I was getting nervous already. Great stuff that he is in the tournament, now him vs Tete would be a fun fight
Khan soundily outboxes him for 2-3 rounds, then gets hurt and when Bud starts to adjust and time him and later on knocked out. hat's how I would imagine it going
Lot of boxers find it difficult to stay retired, maybe its money for some, but some simply love boxing as a sport, love to fight, love to compete. Roy Jones Jr being one good example. Maybe this is the case for Sergio? Maybe he just got some motivation and his spark back. That being said, he has had his share of injuries and is at old age... Dont know if this is a wise decision, but hell, man can decide for himself. I just hope that if he ends up boxing, he wont get hurt
the **** you talking about, andre berto had a very good career and was a good fighter. he aws in the fight of hte year in 2011 FFS. were you asleep?!
and the following year he was in another absolute classic with robert guerrero.
there's nothing wrong with not being an all time great. berto 100% had the talent and the background to be a world champion and get on TV. i'm happy for him, he was smart with his money and he's rich now.
boxing took a ton out of that guy. he had a long, hard career. i don't respect or take you seriously if you don't get that. frankly i don't think you were even watching boxing at the time. he's even starting to sound a little punchy.
The fight against Jesus Soto Karass was a slugfest. Shamelessly putting my own HL video of it here
Also like you mentioned, the Guerrero fight was absolute war. And you know what else? The first fight with Victor Ortiz. The second fight wasn't a war, but Berto dropped Ortiz with an absolutely beautiful uppercut there and finished him quickly
I dont know how things used to be way back but isn't this a problem that is very common in boxing? And has been? Not talking about this fight though, I dont know how to score this, im intoxicated, was a close, close fight, I dont mind Canelo winning 7-5, wouldn't mind if GGG would have gotten 7-5, would have not minded a draw either. Called Canelo to win close decision, even mentioned 7-5 but was rooting bit more for GGG. Great fight though and crazy chins by both! I think Golovkin fought great, especially for his age but he has slowed down and I dont know why he didn't use more body shots. Canelo showed great chin too and fought a great fight, taking control and setting the pace at the times very well
Respect for both.
LMAO.....a three division champ, his third division being 147, now needs to fight 167 pounder Canelo....LMAO...is this site even reality?
Yeah, my bad, I got confused with the weights as I have been awake for +30 hours and stupidly enough, still haven't gone to sleep
I just remembered Canelo fighting at 147 at some point but I guess that was a while ago now
As for Spence fight, I really would like to see it, but as for some, for me I dont see a clear winner and wouldn't know who to pick
Although his opponent, Amir Khan did face Canelo...
I like him and his style. Not the best power but he does have more finishes than decisions. There can be some potentially real entertaining bouts with him when facing a certain fighter, I believe him vs Warrington for example should be a fun one, would it happen
I like both, they are great fighters for sure. I had Golovkin winning the first and Canelo the second. I would assume Canelo wins by decision the third time they fight, if it comes to that. Golovkin isn't getting younger either... he has boxed for a long time and had many fights. Dont know if changing the trainer will do much at this point but we'll see
Would be cool to see GGG vs Charlo and Canelo vs Spence in the future
Journeymen or even the so called "bums" can still have power. Khan's chin isn't good but it isnt the worst one ever either. His defense is lacking and he gets countered pretty hard at the times when he flurries. Problems come for him once his opponents start timing him
fantastic fight. More people need to watch it
Tanaka has had his share of good fights... One of my favorite Japanese boxers, the kid is real fun to watch on that ring
Man had a great, entertaining career. And what a left hook! Fun fighter to watch, wish we could have seen him against Khan, Bradley, Thurman, Danny Garcia or Juan Manuel Marquez back in the day
Maybe im being cynical but I just dont see things changing. It really does hurt the sport, and I definitely do hope that there will be some changes made. Also wish they would give referees bans if they are clearly corrupt or constantly make horrible and insane calls
If you are not training to be an amateur or professional fighter, just for hobby and self defence you dont have to spar hard. Now, sparring IS a big part of it, but no reason to go with 90% or so and just risk injuries and getting hurt.
If you get a concussion, remember to take long enough break, first from proper training, and bit longer for sparring itself. But as you are doing it for a hobby, for three years, I doubt you will have to be afraid, but still, its good to know the risks, which these sports (like some others as well) definitely have.
A lot of great points. But if he wants to learn for selfdefence then it A MUST to get in and AT LEAST spar.No way around it you can only learn so much on a bag.Trust me you will forget EVERTHING you learned in a fight without sparring/fightin experience.
True, people who only know the technique but dont spart might get too anxious in a real fight since they dont have the experience of those situations and the technique suddenly disappears as the adrenaline kicks in. That being said, one doesn't have to spar 100% hard. I definitely think sparring is needed, but it doesnt have to be to the point that both are trying to hurt each other there, sparring is just part of the training (a vital part), but the point is for both to learn, not to hurt each other which would just be stupid.
So yeah, I would advice sparring but as long as neither is trying to give damage to one other
