Sorry, Hatton and Judah were chinny.
Morales was KO'd twice by Pac and Danny Garcia. Not exactly journeymen like Prescot.
JMM has been knocked down several times but was NEVER KO'd.
i remember when he fought old small barrera and barrera was cut badly in the first but the fight went on for 4 rounds just so khan could get that offiical W. 5th round came along and barrera landed a couple nice right hands evne buckling khan. amir khan chin prevention squad had to come in and STOP THE FIGHT THE CUT IS TOO BAD! no one has faith in his chin
Didn't Pacquiao get KO'd by 2 journeymen early in his career? If you are trying to say Khan has a chin as good or better than Pacquiao you lose that argument by a country mile. Never mind what happened to Pac as a teenager. In his prime he proved his chin in wars with punchers like Cotto, Margarito, Mosley and others while Khan has been dropped often by non punchers. Pacquiao ran into a perfect punch from Marquez and got knocked out cold but that punch would easily KOed Khan as well. Pacquiao's chin is vastly superior to Khan's chin and almost everybody knows that. Khan will almost certainly suffer his 4th KO defeat the first time Crawford lands a flush bomb on that weak chin.

JMM has been knocked down several times but was NEVER KO'd.Of course Khan has a weak chin and poor recovery powers. He has proven this many times including his last fight.
^Beat me to it.
I think the reason Khan is branded a glass jaw is because of how dramatic his physical responses are. The guy falls like he's been shot out of the sky. Couple that with the fact that he's not delivering much power of his own, and he comes across as frail. You get the sense that if he slugged it out in every fight, he'd probably have been ko'd a dozen times now. There's a reason he's very cautious.

One was . One was a champion.
Both when he was a TEENAGER.
And the second KO was from a body shot .
Drizdane has a 4% K.O ratio and dropped him.
Willie Limmond
Michael Gomez
Breidis Prescott x2
Garcia x3
Julio Diaz
Canelo
Vargas
He was rocked on multiple occasions by Algieri, Maidana, Peterson.
Most of those are feather fisted af and naturally several weights smaller.
I'm not sure even Amir himself is still delusional enough to believe his chins anything but terrible.
The problem with Khan is that when he's hurt, he takes a very long time to recover, like in the Garcia fight.
He hasn't got the worst chin out there, but it's certainly not difficult to hurt him and then he can stay hurt.
He's just very vulnerable all round, but it makes his fights worth watching. No matter what level the opponent he's fighting, you're always thinking he's a shot away from going down.
judah, hatton and morales were all a bit chinny at the end of their careers but not in their primes. punch resistance wears down as a fighter takes punishment and they all took quite a bit. but even at their most fragile they still took a better punch than khan did at his most ****ing durable.
pacquiao had a good chin, he was practically a child when he got KO'd early in his career and that marquez punch would have put anybody out at 147 and under.
khan has never been able to take a punch. and he didnt just get hurt by punchers he got hurt by literally anyone who hit him clean. people make too much out of the maidana fight, he hurt him really bad to the body and made him tired. chino didnt have one third of his normal power and he still made khan do the funky chicken.
how many times have khan been down? didnt willie limond or someone like that put him down? garcia dropped him with a shot to the neck.. dude is made of glass. crawford gonna kill him dead.
Journeymen or even the so called "bums" can still have power. Khan's chin isn't good but it isnt the worst one ever either. His defense is lacking and he gets countered pretty hard at the times when he flurries. Problems come for him once his opponents start timing him
I'm not 100% sure his chin is the real problem. I've just never seen a world level contender take so many shots directly to the chin. I don't remember him ever going down from a shot that didn't look powerful. If you leave your chin hanging out like he does, you're going to get KOed.
