unbelievable
i just been running around the room for the last 5 minutes while trying to not wake up the rest of the family
but woah how did one of the jjudges have it 106-102 for froch lol
Haha, change the word family for housemates and that's just been the exact same scene in my front room! Listening to it on the radio just seemed to make it even more dramatic for some reason! Get in!!!
To be honest Taylor came across as an alright guy in the after-fight interview - still satisfying to see Froch ram those words down his throat though. It's a sure thing that whoever his next opponent is won't be saying these things.
Khan was on TV the other week and said he didn't think this fight would ever happen. I agree with him, but if it did it would be carnage. I think even Khan surely knows that.
A little bit more use of the word Gay or Runner and delivered with a little more convinction and that would be perfect
Ok, sorry... second go...
That Floyd Mayweather is a big raving gay, not to mention a runner, and a bit of a twat. I've also heard he suffers from severe flatulance problems. And his kids are ugly. And his cock is supposedly miniscule.
I think I'm getting the hang of this. :boxing:
To be fair he does this after every fight, it's not much of a shock, he always manages to get back to his fighting weight.
Exactly right - I'm amazed it's even being commented on to be honest. So Hatton likes a pie and a pint when he's not in training camp for a fight, big deal. It's served him well his whole career up until this point so why would he change now?
While it may be his norm I don't think its good or has served him well as you put it. Yo-yoing in weight so drastically is not good. Look at the boxers who are considered gym rats and stay closest to fighting weight between fights.......Mosley, Hopkins and PBF. I can virtually guarantee that if they had done what Hatton does they would've been forced to retire years ago.
Ok, to say it's served him well was maybe the wrong choice of phrase - but it hasn't hindered his career to date was more the point I was making. I agree with what you say about Mosley, Hopkins, PBF... they're doing their thing and that's what works for them. Hatton's a whole different ball game, what he needs is to be able to switch off between fights and be a normal person for a while - then, when it's time to go to work again, he'll be remotivated and he'll knuckle down and train as hard as anyone out there.
Different strokes for different folks and all that...
COZ HE IS FVCKING DELUSIONAL:boxing:
So Ricky Hatton would suddenly decide to stop eating shit/drinking beer between fights "COZ HE IS FVCKING DELUSIONAL"?
Well, you got me there. What a well considered and eloquently put point you've made. Bravo.
David Haye has the speed and power to KO either Klitschko, 21KO's from 23 wins (+ the first man to wobble Valuev) says so. If anyone is going to beat a Klitschko in 2010, Haye has to be the favourite.
I just wish the fight would hurry up and happen - it seems like we've been waiting a stupidly long time for it now.
Khan is a good prospect with a big future ahead of him - people hyped him up far too much early on, now people are dismissing him far too much after the Prescott K.O. He looked very sharp against Barrera and did what he had to do... if anything I think the cut was a bad thing for Khan as it's tarnished his victory, I believe he would have been too quick and too big for Barrera anyway. I look forward to seeing what Roach can get out of him, he's got a great chance to get his first world title against Kotelnik.
the shitty fans at nottingham
the english fans are the most disrespectful cunts ever
Haha, yeah because Dirrell has been the definition of "respectful" in the build-up to this fight hasn't he?!
Agreed, it was really good to see. It's moments like that after fights that really add to our sport and help set it apart from others - beating seven shades of shit out of each other one moment and embracing each other the next. A few other sports could learn a thing or two from moments like that...
I get way too involved in fights, so yeah whenever one of my favourite boxers loses it affects my weekend. Enzo Maccarinelli's latest fights (well 3 of the 4 of them) have been pretty heartbreaking - but the one that really stands out because of the way it destroyed just about everyone watching the fight is the Mayweather KO of Hatton.
I reacted like a right dick, threw a stool across the front room and stormed upstairs to bed leaving my mates downstairs! I was very very drunk in my defence.
There was something a bit soul destroying about seeing a bloke as nationally loved as Hatton on the canvas losing for the first time. There seemed to be just a general depression around everyone who watched the fight for quite a while afterwards!
Amir Khan needs to top being so sensitive to be honest. I like him, christ I'm going to the Salita fight next month, but this whole "why is everyone jealous of me in the UK? I'm moving to America" crusade he's on isn't the most endearing thing in the world.
If trash talk bothers you, just ignore it and don't get involved.
Haha, I usually like Tyson Fury's banter and he's a pretty entertaining guy to listen to but this is just flat out deluded in the extreme. The McDermott fight showed everyone exactly where Fury is right now... and it's a million miles away from sharing a ring with David Haye!
Fair play to him though, he knows how to get people talking and that's half the battle won...
Got my tickets for this one, looking forward to it (particularly Mitchell-Burns on the undercard). Can't see past a comfortable enough Khan victory in the main event - he's too fast, too skillful, too good.
