Which is understandable, given Barker's opinion of GGG:
http://******.craveonline.com/news/348975-darren-barker-breaks-down-gennady-golovkin-daniel-geale
Eddie Hearn : Golovkin fight doesn't make sense financially
Tom Loffler: Ward fight doesn't make sense financially
when you're talking GGG you're automatically talking POWER and no pac would have no buisiness in with GGG
What the hell are you on about? I was talking about Golovkin's level of opposition in comparison to Pacquiao's. Not what would happen if they fought each other
Canelo is a bum. He is not lucrative. A lucrative Canelo fight would be a fight vs another fighter like him who has trouble making weight.
Canelo vs Chavez jr.
Well he is lucrative whether you think he's a bum or not.
The fact is Fury backed down and most people think it was due to him not wanting any part of Ustinov after seeing him at the weigh in.
It's not about Chisora anymore, we've seen Tyson handle him already.
Great. People will think that for a few days and then Ustinov will become irrelevant again because he's a giant bum.
Devon beats Khan. (Which is why Khan ducked him). Follow the duck. It's the boxing truth serum.
So why is he fighting him now, dummy? :pat:
It's an even riskier fight now. Alexander has a pretty ugly style and he has no title. There isn't really anything to gain for Khan by taking the fight now.
He wasn't saying GGG beats up on retired boxers with hip issues, he gives zero chance to anyone fighting at middle presently. Maybe he thinks he was a cut above, but doesn't sound like it at all. Some British irony at play?
Talking about retired, crippled boxers.
Golovkin fans and their minor victories :lol1:
His next fight is rumored to be in his hometown of Cincinnati. We'll see what the crowd looks like then.
So his stock hasn't dropped because he can draw a crowd in his hometown? Great logic
What broner controversy?
I don't know exactly. Watch the video. I think he may have badmouthed USADA in the build-up to the Broner fight. Or just the overall controversy in the build-up to that fight
lol i bet under 9.5.. so thanks vic!
I had Jessie Vargas on points, Kovalev by KO in the first 3 rounds and Rios by stoppage.
Plus a couple of footy games. A DQ is surely a stoppage.....:fingersx:
Paulie is on the way down, porter is on the way up, these things happen.
The thing is, I've met paulie multiple times, we know some of the same people. I think the guy is cool, and was a heck of a boxer.
I can honestly say he's just as suspicious, as anyone. when you see him in person his physique looks like a shell of what it is during weigh in, before and after his fighths.
Dude goes from having man tits to almost instantly getting shredded. He keeps talking about other guys who might be on peds yet never ONCE demanded random drug testing.
Apparently he did request it but USADA wouldn't work with him because they didn't want to be associated with him after the controversy leading up to the Broner fight.
That's what I could make out from his conversation with the Porters. Not entirely certain though.
When did Paulie actually accuse Porter of anything?
I've never seen him come out and say it. I've always got the impression that he's hinting at it but that's not enough to build a lawsuit...
He was on national news when he made that comment about Mexicans. People all over the internet were going crazy over it. His stock hasn't dropped at all. If anything it's plateaued and it'll be right back where it was when he steamrolls through Taylor.
His stock as a fighter plummeted when he got steamrolled by the first real threat he faced.
Really? There's a 100 something page thread on this very forum dedicated to pictures of Broner getting knocked down and losing. In fact it's still bumped to this day. It was all over social media and so on. There's no such thing as bad publicity, because publicity is simply that.
To think, Pacquiao got put to sleep and his thread has less posts than a guy who didn't even get stopped and lost a competitive decision.
Sure you can say the quality of opponents has dropped, as would happen with any fighter but his stock hasn't dropped.
Do you understand what stock means? He's viewed as a complete laughing stock now.
We'll see when he headlines that card on September 6th. I'm hearing they're expecting a sellout and Broner is fighting a rather unknown.
A sellout where?
This is a guy who was supposed to be a PPV star already but you're waving your pom poms because he's headlining a show against a bum in a bingo hall?
GGG is a titleholder at 168, right?
How is that an excuse? You're bringing up technicalities about the weight when both fights aren't happening because of FINANCIAL reasons.
Well he is fighting algieri and all ready beat rios,, those guys are on par with ggg level of competition
Hmmm debatable. Daniel Geale lost to Darren Barker and Anthony Mundine.....Anthony "I got KTFO by Sven Ottke" Mundine.
It's called tongue in cheek, brits just have no understanding of irony
Yeah I got that you were trolling but at least go all the way with it instead of quitting half way through.
Well Mundine did survive against Kessler lol.
Im not saying that geale is an elite fighter but he was a top 5 mw and a ex-unified champ.
Yeah and he's probably worse than Pacquaio's last 20 opponents.
