I Counted to 9 started the moment he fell, and he was already walking around by this time. Nothing out of the ordinary here.. it was a good fight leave it at that!
All fights should be 40/40 winner gets the 20% that is what true prize fighting is about. I truly dislike the politics in boxing a million champions so all the promoters can claim one and the sanctioning bodies can make their fees. Each division should have one belt per body mandatories matter so everyone deserving gets a shot. its that simple. If things don't change boxing will die not because of the sport itself because of the infrastructure around it.
it was bad. what should he have said tho? ... probably "well that didnt fkn work lolz...lets get back to boxing shall we?"
Teo your head hunting and telegraphing your punches. Relax your right hand is working. Here is what I need this round establish your jab and touch the body. We setting him up for a solid right next round…
when he shoots in smoother him because he’s looking for the overhand right.
instead of
go F@&$ him up and step back and go f@&$ him up again…. (Whaaaaatt?!?!?)
Horn started the round strong and Pacquiao didn't even score a knockdown. I've seen better rounds from other boxers that were scored a 10-9. And I don't know what previous rounds have to do with any of this.
P.S. you shouldn't base your judging opinion on Teddy Atlas. It's clear the man is off his rocker.
I see your logic and obviously its not wrong, I just think you can't score a fight based off pervious fights. The fact is round 9 was a clear round where horn was in more trouble than he was in for the entire fight... so much so the ref warned him he would stop it. if the other rounds where 10-9 why wouldn't this one be considered a 10-8 as it was so much different from what we saw in the whole fight?
just another angle scoring is subjective and thats the beauty and the fallacy of the sport. 6 eyes can see different things or can be bought....
Another blind man ape don't talk about sports that you have a hard time understanding. Floyd was never a aggressor in any of his fights ring generalship is the crap you use when you don't have a tie breaker for a round, and manny clearly punished horn all fight so kys :)
you must be ****ing retard because I did't mention floyd in my comments
secondly floyd beat mannys ass if you know anything about boxing which you clearly don't..
the only blind ape around here is the one that must of fcuked your moms... he should have fcuked her in her ass so a clear retard like you wouldn't have been born..
I'M NOT THE ONE FOR YOUR RACIST ****!!!
C- fighter at best.. a poor mans Danny Garcia if he's lucky... it doesn't say anything about manny he didn't have a game plan...plus I don't know if anyone has said this yet but horn seemed a lot bigger and stronger than manny in terms of size throwing him around.. the perception of horn taking it to manny is likely what made the judges score the fight for horn..
you could of scored this fight either way... I scored for horn based on who controlled majority of the round not who landed the 1 or 2 eye catching shot.
remember scoring is subjective and based on the style of fight the judge resonates to. I wouldn't be upset if pac won this fight 115-112...
IMO pac didnt look like he was in control of that fight at all except in the 9th round. Judges are not use seeing him fight like that even in the bradley 1st fight he looked better. I thought bradley won on points but i would have given the fight to pac because you can't fight like that and win. Bradely didnt take the tittle from the champ he hoped for gift and got one.

We actually have members here that believe that "being the aggressor" wins the round almost all the time.
there are HBO analyst who believe the same... this fight imo comes down to Pac just not looking like pac and I think the judge scored that. right or wrong they scored it...
lmao!!! wtf was that shiiet??? i know i know, "floyd didnt train", "floyd didnt even took the fight serious", yes i know i know. but how does one of the best defensive fighter of all time with accurate precision timing looks so out of place like a fish out of water. those slow looping wide punches? that's your TBE?
I am going to assume you have never boxed before because if you did you would know that the answer to your question is already in your post.
No training = No Boxing Rhythm = Look Like ****
I hope in 2019 the IQ level and the posting level in this forum their are so many intellectual conversations that could be had in stead of these clickbate lowbrow threads...
You do sound unbiased, but most think fury beat wilder decisively. A bad robb ery. Do you think it's a coincidence that most who say a draw is fair are done anonymously online?
It took until the 9th round for wilder to have success. Maybe because it was getting g to easy for fury and he got complacent.
Wilder is a great fighter. Do you think anyone else could beat wilder more decisively? At this level nothing comes easy. But for a ko specialist like wilder a ko is decisive victory. For a pure boxer, outboxing your opponent is decisive. Fury decisively outboxed.wilder as he is the pure boxer. He beat wilder as decisively as anyone would have expected.
Fury made wilder look like a nfl player. How decisive you want it? At this level, what you saw fury do to wilder is considered decisive. One looked like he'd been doing it all his life. The other looked like he was originally a football player And took up boxing late.
No a lot of fighters have said they'er ok with draw publicly. You have to understand there is a rule in boxing where the challenger has to take the champs belts. I think fury won but as I said no judge is going to let a guy win belts who was knockdown twice.
I think wilder can be beat, he is a B- boxer at best with A+ power.
You guys are forgetting some important things here, the ref's can be biased in fact they are BUT it wasn't like fury was taking damage before the knock down he might have been winning a very tit for tat type of fight. The 2 knock downs IMO were the only devastating shots. The ref made the right choice in counting in the 12 round of a fight that the guy on the canvas might be winning.
I don't have a problem with the draw it made sense to me. I go with the old school rule the challenger has to beat the champion decisively to take his belts. I think its impossible to have a winner of a tit for tat fight when there is 2 knock downs against the challenger. A draw is the right call.
But fury did what he was supposed to do against a man with39 ko.s.
What anyone would have predicted fury would need to do to win is exactly what he did. Make wilders aggression not effective. Make him miss. Wilder promised ko. He didn't get it.
What boxing coaches try teach you, fury displayed it all. He looked like he knew what he was doing in there.
Wilder got 2 knock-downs but fury essentially won 11.5 rounds. Even after getting up from knock-downs he was in control. And even moments leading up to knock-downs there was no suggestion a knockdown was coming. For 20 seconds in fight he was in trouble
He just didn't do the most important thing, not get knocked down.
I don't think fury won 11.5 but think about this if wilder only won 2 rounds at 10-8 a piece that represent 4 rounds in single points advantage. All the judges would have to do is find 2 more rounds to make it a draw for wilder. That's 4 rounds wilder had to win out of a possible 12. This is why those 2 knock downs are huge.
There is a problem with a draw as it proves the judges were cheating and can be bought. Say what you want about the challenger has to do this and that. But at the end of the day it comes down to who wins the rounds. And there is no way in hell anyone can rewatch that fight through round 1 to 12 and score it to make Wilder earn a draw without cheating.
I don't think you grasp the subjectiveness of boxing scoring. Its not a define algorithm people score fights differently. Then add in the fact that there are rules that judges go by. examples some judges score pressure think Canelo and GGG 2 people have GGG winning that fight. Some judges won't score a fighter who is back peddling think Marquez pacquiao 3.
115-110 score for wilder tho yikes......... might be cheating.
I'm going to watch and score the fight tonight.
This fight really proves one or the other as probably the best fighter over the last 3 decades if not more. We're lucky to have them.
That said, I just can't bet against Mayweather. He finds a way to make that ring the safest place in the world for himself. It's what he does. I'd say Manny will have to reign himself in from getting to wreckless once he starts seeing combinations swatted away. Mayweather will also have to throw more punches than he has been and punch with real authority. Or at the very least Manny will drown him in flurries.
Props this is a great post...because its realistic not full of what ifs and ASSumptions or speculations....
the chick in ur avy makes up for ur lack of intelligence.......
how is it that you try to put someone down with an assumption that is clearly documented with sources......
GREAT TOPICS even though PBF is my fav fighter im getting tired of hearing about this fight already.....ill check the show out still you guys do a GREAT job i was very impressed
do MODS EXIST ON THIS BOARD REALLY C'MON LETS CLEAN THIS BOARD UP WITH THE REPETITIVE BS.....WHEN A DUMB THREAD POPS UP LIKE THIS ONE DELETE IT.....
http://i37.tinypic.com/5vdgnb.gif
You should blame his corner too, i really do not see any strategy done there.
Still, i want Cotto to fight again, i consider him one of the greats in boxing today, higher than punk floyd!
wow ur really confused cotto was a good fighter he is obviously not anymore to rank him infront of floyd only shows ur ignorance he has lost twice brutally.. I like cotto i think he was a good fighter with lots of promise however he needs a real trainer he needs to discipline his self and get the help he needs....he has no defense and alot of bad habits....he can become great again with help
I was impressed by pacquiao however i was very dissapponted in cotto he needs a real trainer he was very undisciplined in that fight and it showed...Freddie was right about his green trainer....cotto didnt look sharp at all his defense was horrible and he tried to punch with a puncher and lost...
i wold love to see pac vs floyd because i truly belive pac is not that skilled he is very gifted with speed and power but his technique is not their...saying that a fight against floyd is interesting because floyd is more skilled but he doesnt throw enough punches and manny throws alot...but will manny get frustrated when he cant hit floyd and lose composer??? I wanna see this fight lets make it happpen at 147 champ....
The OG poster is and idiot....this board is filled with repitition and retards making the same threads over and over again....where are the mods, admins??? its time you ban or delete attention whoring threads.....
if you don't have a source for what you post then what your posting is an oppinon not a FACT....wow where are the educated boxing fans....?????????
by the way pac/pbf should be 40/40 + 20 to the winner.....I have no idea why this is not the standard when bought fighters have equal stock.......??
This isn't an easy fight for both fighter period. May the best man win.
I won't say that Floyd is a walk in the park for Manny.
I won't say also that Manny is a walk in the park for Floyd.
Anyone who think that this is just a walk in the park for either fighter is an idiot.
truth.................
