He'll definitely be a future World Champion if he has a Good Chin, which talking to his trainers and others at Pea c ock gym, he definitely has.
He'll be ready for any Top 10 Heavyweight including the Champions by the summer of 2020 and he'll still only be 22 years old.
A drive in. Yea thats not a bad idea. Or yea just in a random open beach or park like they do films would be viable to if you can rope it off & enclose it some kinda way so people can't watch from afar.
They were already selling tickets for Canelo vs GGG at my theater. And they were only $20 so I imagine thats the price everywhere in the US.
$20 is a great price...Golden Boy need to get Canelo-GGG in as many cinemas nationwide as possible especially in the Hispanic areas of Texas and LA.
With illegal streams becoming more popular ever year, i can see the PPV model being almost gone in the next few years and instead they might move their energies to showing Boxing at Multiplex cinemas for all the Top Boxing Fights as thats one experience the Illegal streams can't give you on a Big screen especially if they perfect Boxing in 3D.
Also just to add, this was the lowest Box Office Weekend in North America for 15 Years, which many insiders have said was due to people staying at home and spending their money to watch the Mayweather vs McGregor Fight.
Has a fight shown in a theater ever been in the top ten? I don't recall that if its happened.
Checked for May vs Manny but there were no official B.O figures regarding that fight and it might have just been shown in Vegas Cinemas.
Either way, to place 3rd on Saturday in all Nationwide Cinemas is amazing and 8th overall for the Weekend.
Here's my Top 10 if we leave out Mayweather.
1. Andre Ward - Unbeaten
2. Terence Crawford - Unbeaten
3. Vasyl Lomachenko - 1 Defeat
4. Guillermo Rigondeaux - Unbeaten
5. Mikey Garcia - Unbeaten
6. Gennady Golovkin - Unbeaten
7. Canelo Álvarez - 1 Defeat
8. Keith Thurman - Unbeaten
9. Naoya Inoue - Unbeaten
10. Errol Spence Jr - Unbeaten
Number 9 and 10 are based more on what i think both of those guys are going to do in the next 12 months.
I have to also add, this is one of the best Top 10 p4p Lists i can remember since the 90's when we had the likes of Roy Jones, Mayweather, Mosley, ODLH, Trinidad, Whitaker, Lennox Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson and Hopkins.
Damn 3rd for Saturday. Holy f#ck. Thats really crazy.
I must say this was my first time watching a fight at a theater & I LOVED IT. Seeing boxing on a big movie screen was amazing. If I get rich one of my top ten purchases is a movie theater so I can watch every fight from Bounce to PPV's on that f#cking huge screen.
If theaters could serve beer watching at theaters would be huge & anyone who can duplicate the theater experience with boxing + alcohol will have a nice lil business going on imo.
100% Agree regarding seeing Boxing in Cinemas especially with a crowd of people creating a great atmosphere.
You know what would work great for Boxing is Open Air or Drive in Cinemas that serve Alcohol and Snacks. I've even watched some movies on a Beach with a Cinema Sized screen and that was a cool experience.
Hopefully they will be going Nationwide with cinemas for the Canelo-GGG fight as that would be a fantastic fight to watch in a cinema with a large mexican audience.
I can't help but like Eddie Hearn man, he's just an accessible guy. Deontay and Shelly slapped him around, but it was a joy to watch.
Are you kidding?
Okay he's a Jew.
But he's also a Homosexual who likes having s e x with teenage boys!
Guy is a total scumbag and Joshua needs to take charge of his own career rather then be treated like a Slave.
Ayo Juice, lmao. Anthony "Juice" Joshua, lmfao...!!!
We all know AJ is a Juice Head...he would be nothing without PEDS, same with Fury, Ortiz and Povetkin.
WILDER is the true CHAMPION.
"Are you going to fight me or are you going to continue to squad when you piss"?
LMAO
Squat.
He calling AJ a biatch which is what he is.
Him and his gay lover promoter are both biatches.
He still has to beat Joshua to convince the world but now fans know why Hearn and Joshua are shook!!!
Even with AJ Juicing, WILDER will still smash him.
Wilder is just too quick and hard punching for Joshua.
Notice how AJ only fights slow ass heavyweights!
Fast Heavyweights like Lawrence Okali and Daniel Dubois have already Knocked out AJ in Sparring!
A juicin J, Listen mate, I declare was upon you, do you accept my challenge, do you still squat when you piss? I know im the champion, i know im the best, is you up for the test lol...
That was Brilliant.
NO EXCUSES FROM AJ and HEARN.
Both fighters have got their mandatories out of way.
Both are free to fight each other NEXT.
WILDER WANTS THE FIGHT.....DOES AJ and HEARN WANT IT? Do they F U C K.
If Wilder was dropped 5 years ago, it was an up and coming fighter being dropped by the Reigning WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.
Joshua has been dropped by David Price and two Heavyweights who hadn't even turned Pro at the time...Lawrence Okolie which was a heavy knockdown and Triple DDD Daniel Dubious who knocked AJ out cold.
I think getting knocked down by the World Heavyweight Champion is far better then getting knocked out cold by two amateurs!
Great breakdown! Just one thing about the speed that I can't agree completely on. Rigo is faster punch for punch but because he puts so much into his power shots, his combos seem slower than Loma's combos.
You're totally right, didn't think of that.
Have changed my Score.
Buddy, I think you changed the defense score and not the hand speed.
Ah thanks, yeah i've changed it now.
Changed some of the 12 Points too as forgot to add RING CONTROL and CHIN which i'd both give to LOMO so have the fight a DRAW now hehe.
Please feel free to add copy and paste in your own thoughts for the 12 Points.
POWER: LOMACHENKO
I think Rigo has more power P4P, but Loma hits much harder than him.
Not sure about that...even at 130 lbs i think Rigo will still have more one punch power.
Apart from Martinez and one or two others, most of Lomo's wins have come from Retirements or Ref stoppages rather then Power punches.
Effing sweet. What time this suppose to start?
Well the Uk coverage starts at 8.30pm UK time which is 3.30pm EST featuring some of most exciting New UK stars like 20 Year Old Heavyweight Sensation Daniel Dubious and Explosive Punching Anthony Yarde on undercard.
This stream might only be showing Main Event though between BJS vs Monroe for the WBO World Middleweight Title which is due to start at 10.30pm UK time so thats 5.30pm EST.
This will only be showing the main event based on the fact it starts in 6 hours which is 10:30PM Uk time which is the time the main event is due to start.
Interestingly enough the link loads fine for me right now and i am out side of the US. I wonder if it will be blocked when it starts?
You might be right so have edited it just incase.
It'll be blocked for UK fans for sure but maybe any one outside of UK will be okay to watch the stream.
The stream might start earlier then its currently scheduled to start at but even if you watch the Undercard on a non Official stream, you should definitely watch the MAIN EVENT on this stream as it will encourage Boxing Promoters to stream more Free Fights on Youtube if they good Good views.
That is nice.
Wins over David Lemieux and Saul Alvarez will look nice on Billy Joe's resume.
I'm much rather see Canelo fight the winner of BJS-Lemi in May then GGG rematch.
Also would rather see GGG vs Jermall Charlo in April
and Sergiy Derevyanchenko vs Jacobs
and Ryota Murata vs Demetrius Andrade
If Canelo and GGG both win, they can have their fight in May 2018.
One thing PBC has going strong is the image of American stars, first and foremost. If Endeavor trusts Haymon, they will put in money and expect to see growth from the moment they invest.
I'd say PBC is in it's second phase. Wilder, Thurman and Spence Jr. are current American icons in boxing. The next priority is to continue marketing strategy for them and prepare for primetime NBC.
The real rumor is I'd expect to now see Brendan Schaub more active in affiliation with CBS Sports and boxing. He is a catalyst for various UFC fans to acquire.
PRIMETIME metrics for boxing is a prestigious goal. You worry about sustainability afterwards.
I can see SRL, Schaub, and Marv Albert being a really good mix. Paulie is good for Showtime, but he comes off too ghetto and emotional for soccer mom husbands and NFLites. Schaub is more commercially safe, and having experience in the ring, his character isn't so bad.
You do realise that the UFC is basically in 5 Billion worth of debt.
It's called sustainable debt but its still debt. That's how most corporations work,.
They keep gobbling up other companies and building up more and more debt and survive by paying off the interest payments.
They can get to a point though that they're so big and so much debt that they just collaspe and get broken into little pieces and sold off to other corporations.
AJ losing Fans left right and centre
If he isn't ducking Wilder, he's insulting all races.
The UK fans need to drop AJ and get behind a REAL UK HEAVYWEIGHT like TRIPLE DDD.
Starts 7.30 UK Time on Boxnation.
Starts 8.30 UK Time on BT Sports.
Carl Frampton vs Horacio Garcia - 10 RD International Featherweight contest
Jerwin Ancajas vs Jamie Conlan - 12 RD IBF World Super Flywieght Contest
Zolani Tete vs Siboniso Gonya - 12 RD WBO World Bantamweight Contest
Not sure what running time for each fight is, there'll be other Fights inbetween.
12/13/17 #6 Jeff Horn VS Gary Corcoran : For WBO Welterweight Title
Horn Win -700 – 7/1 Favorite
Corcoran Win +450 – 4.5/1 Underdog
This is the one i would bet on.
I'm pretty confident Corcoran has a good shot at beating Horn, who i doubt is that much above Commonwealth Level.
