No idea if there is truth to it but there is currently a rumor that Haymon has been actively courting investors for PBC and that one of the interested parties is Endeavor, the parent company of UFC.
One thing PBC has going strong is the image of American stars, first and foremost. If Endeavor trusts Haymon, they will put in money and expect to see growth from the moment they invest.
I'd say PBC is in it's second phase. Wilder, Thurman and Spence Jr. are current American icons in boxing. The next priority is to continue marketing strategy for them and prepare for primetime NBC.
The real rumor is I'd expect to now see Brendan Schaub more active in affiliation with CBS Sports and boxing. He is a catalyst for various UFC fans to acquire.
PRIMETIME metrics for boxing is a prestigious goal. You worry about sustainability afterwards.
I can see SRL, Schaub, and Marv Albert being a really good mix. Paulie is good for Showtime, but he comes off too ghetto and emotional for soccer mom husbands and NFLites. Schaub is more commercially safe, and having experience in the ring, his character isn't so bad.
You do realise that the UFC is basically in 5 Billion worth of debt.
It's called sustainable debt but its still debt. That's how most corporations work,.
They keep gobbling up other companies and building up more and more debt and survive by paying off the interest payments.
They can get to a point though that they're so big and so much debt that they just collaspe and get broken into little pieces and sold off to other corporations.

Makes a lot of sense. Dana has said since the Floyd v Conor fight was announced that they wanted to get involved in Boxing. Makes a lot of sense as I don't think they would build everything from the ground up...takes far too long to build up that way. Matchroom had more money than Frank Warren but it took them about 6-7 years to build up to where they are now. I think Dana wants a stable ready which he can add to by packaging it right and obviously get the right TV deals. PBC was looking very promising at first with how active they were but it's been a pure dud the past year or so.
Endeavor and Haymon Boxing just made a ton of money working together on the most successful event in the history of fighting.
Endeavor now wants to take over boxing and Haymon has the most power in boxing. So at least exploring a buyout would make sense.
I applied for a PBC job. I want to be one of those dudes who stand and clap when a fighters name gets announced just before the ring instructions. The Watson Twins are rich. Here is a pic of their spare bedroom.

Too bad PBC got a record of pitting top fighters against a long list of cab drivers. Not to mention overpaying them. Thus it will never recover.
Just the mention of Lara and Charlo not fighting again is disgusting.
Hope PBC will just go away and let its part time boxers disappear from the sport.
Don't know why these people are wasting their prime years in meaningless fights.

Part of their contracts with NBC, Spike and ESPN was a clause that gave each network the option to buy the PBC brand and I assume the contracts to all fighters within the PBC.
None of the networks bit, because there wasn't enough proof that it was a money-making venture and the purchase price of PBC was reportedly very high.
I'm sure they would still like to pump money in, but it wont be easy because of all the money the prior investors lost.
PBC was wasting money and was only a matter of time before they look for new investors... OR.... this may simply be Waddel and Reed, aka, IVY Funds trying to sell their shares.
