Lol that same prime Gold medalist, I forgot his name because he ain’t s#hit, was knocked out by David Haye the very first punch he landed. Siarhei who?? Sounds like a Japanese vacuum cleaner.
Who has Joshua made look like an Amateur that Wilder could not of beaten in a better fashion washed up Klitchsko and Martin Takam Parker or Breazeale No.
He has not done anything for the sport beside duck dodge and story tell when he should had of face Miller back in August make him look like a amateur then we can see your point
Difficult to really “freeZe” someone out when they make more money and hold more titles than you. You’d just be cutting your nose off to spite your face
And you have to ask yourself did Joshua earn those belts no and who did Joshua beat to gain those belts no one did he face Fury to retain the belts he fraudulently won it's cool that he's making money but would he making that type of money fighting in America no he wouldn't see 2 million a fight facts Vegas is the boxing capital no the U.K.
I understood exactly what he said and meant all he was saying is that is he is a different breed, species and animal in boxing and in the ring. I would exclude this nonsense that was reported and focus on him fighting Ortiz on March 3rd for real
Cant argue there....Ortiz did have Wilder almost out. So hes better than Whyte and and almost the rest of the HW's
But was he up on the cards no he had 2 maybe 3 rounds but Wilder handled himself well after not like Joshua he held every time he got caught with in the first 4 rounds I truly think he does not beat Wilder
If Parker's chin is as strong as he & his team claims, then I expect this fight to go the distance or Joshua needs a huge body punch to knock him out.
I agree very possible for Parker to take it down the stretch but can he deal with the power or him staying on that body early from Joshua and will that height advantage help him as well
Brook should of took Maidana when he was still active to me that would of been a great matchup he could still face Broner Vargas or the winner of Thurman vs Porter Garcia will most likely face Floyd when he comes back but Brook could also move up and challenge Lara Jermall Charlo or Williams maybe even Liam Smith his name is starting to make a buzz out here
Somewhere I read 5 mil $$ each, Brook and GGG.... with Brook getting some PPV cashish, GGG getting none. Career high payday for both guys. So IOW, no reason for any complaints from either side. As for the Barker story and it helping, Hearn could be right in it pumping this fight. It would be interesting to see the numbers on the PPV, and if they're better than the 'experts' predicted. The arena sold out in minutes, so no amount of hype does anything for that, but maybe PPV will increase.
It is funny though, how Abel just recently repeated his claim that GGG beats everyone 154-168, yet no one in GGGs camp would accept Canelo's 155 demand... and the one who gets the most blame is Canelo. I understand the MW weight limit, and understand fully both sides of the argument... but if Canelo gets the title vs Smith, THEN repeats the 155 offer.... THEN what does GGG do? Refuse? Maybe his team could find a way to refuse without looking like a duck. Who knows how the fans would react, but I'd guess GGGs stock would lower at least a little.
Interesting times for the sport right now.
Now if Canelo didn't have that belt would Golovkin be chasing a fight with him I say no and if he was he would come down to 154 like he said he would for Mayweather or like he said anyone from 154 to 168
Plus he said Canelo vs Khan was a business fight what do you call this fight a business fight first off Brook took this fight like a champ and people still hate when he still beats most Welterweights outside of Spence but there are Middleweights out there for Golovkin besides him waiting for Jacobs or Eubank Sr to stay out and let Eubank Jr to make the fight with Hearn he should move up get Froch out of retirement or DeGeale Ramirez even Ward by 2018
Wilder said himself he was not fighting AJ no matter what last year and his fans still defend him after he raged on about getting sick of being asked to fight him . He went so far to claim he wanted to marinate it and then all his goons were on board as well, it's hilarious . Ha
When because as I remembered Joshua is the one who felt like if the fight was not in the UK then it should not happen even when Wilder wanted the fight and the problem is just to be compensated properly and Wilder deserved whatever the split should of been and after he demolished Breazele you cam see why Joshua's mind was lost against Ruiz he knew the same thing could happen to him with Wilder facts they don't want Wilder at all
That fight deserves to have the interim since they are both high ranking contenders with Alvarez the no.1 and Gvozdyk no.2 Postol and the charlo fights on the other hand are not, unless if it is Jacobs-Charlo
Facts unless we see Charlo facing Jacobs, Dreyvenchenko Andrade or the winner of rematch or whomever Canelo may face if the fight dont take place until September, cause this matchup is horrible for Charlo.
Now i do believe Canelo has been ducking Charlo hard and I mess with Nelo but I think someone in his camp thinks he may get knocked out by Charlo I think that's why this has not happened yet which needsto be next in my opinion
Wrong. PBC wanted showtime PPV in America and DAZN PPV in Europe and Mexico. No way should Oscar settle for this arrangement. Munguia is a future superstar who eventually will fight the the Main Man in a mega fight. Charlo doesn’t have much to offer in resume, popularlty, or revenue stream. Munguia is looked at as a much better fighter and Charlo will stay in obscurity.
I'm trying to figure out how Charlo don't have much to offer in resume when him and his brother have fought better opponents at 154 and cleaned most of that division out plus Oscar taking this offer is the best offer he will get or see for a long time no one in his stable is looking their best right now I mean he got a couple that I do like Virgil will be champ but this offer is pretty fair to me
The division is pretty lacklustre at the minute
Inactive Thurman + Porter
Garcia, who has shown to be a level under Thurman, who himself hasn’t proven a lot yet
Spence and Crawford. Spence has only one noteworthy win, and Crawford hasn’t even fought at the weight. Pacquiao is at the very end of his career
No idea why people claim Welterweight is some stacked division. The top of it is fairly weak
Wouldn't say he has one more worthy fight he has a few in my opinion, but he has proven himself in a great fashion and is improving in every fight. Let's just see how Crawford looks and how Thurman does against Vargas or Khan then we can make a case
Spence beat a war torn and weight struggling fighter and called himself the truth nah more like the opportunist!
Bud cleaned out a division and outclassed Postol who stopped Matthysse who destroyed Lamont Peterson better than Spence did!
Just stop while your ahead, Brook has only Porter on his resume and that was a fight that warranted an immediate rematch!
The same Porter who hasn't beaten anyone but Alexander at the top level!
In fact, Porters best win Alexander got a homecooked decison against Matthysse after getting beat up!
There's levels and skills pay the bills, your gonna see when Bud pulls up and takes Spence to school!
Facts remains that BUD never cleaned out the division he ain't fight Prograis, Ramirez or tried to call Mikey out when he moved up. Love dudes skills in the ring one of my favs alongside Spence.
Plus Brook was just tossed to the wolves when Eubank Jr needed to sign the contract, and Brook coming down drained was his own fought when he should of took the Spence fight and not GGG.
And people forget that yes he does come foward take punishment but always find a way to get the knockout in better fashion than Thurman or Pacquiao And Still beat both of them but I want Spence to face Danny would be a great matchup btw who has the better resume out of Crawford, Spence & Garcia
Yes. We have weight classes for reason. GGG is a 160 fighter, why should he fight Kovalev, lol?
Didn't he drop Kovalev in sparring secondly could he really beat the likes of Ramirez DeGeale Callum Smith Stevenson or Jor Smith Jr I say no he couldn't beat Brook if Brook's eye socket wasn't broken he would had of went the distance he had the fight in his hands he was beating Golovkin by one round cause I gave him rounds 2,3 and 4
Ward Jacobs Canelo Andrade or if even Floyd came back and called Golovkin out beats him with ease Golovkin proved he's a class a bum I commend Brook for stepping up he is a true warrior has a lot of heart
Jacobs will be the first to stop GGG
You have to look at the context in the Pirog loss. Jacobs was beating Pirog before that KO whether you agree or not. It's a fact.
GGG does not move like Pirog. He doesn't have the upper body movement. Golovkin is very robotic with his movement. Very rarely does he duck out of the way of a punch. However, he has shown great agility against Lemiuex. Problem is, that's really not telling me much since Lemieux's feet are an F550 and Jacobs feet are a Corvette.
Lemieux is also the same height as GGG with short T-rex arms. Jacobs is tall and lengthy and is therefore able to generate much more power and get more leverage than Lemeiux. Jacobs is also much faster than DL and much better in his delivery.
Who has GGG fought with the power, speed and boxing ability of Daniel Jacobs? Jacobs is like Willie Monroe but with mutant-esque power compared to Monroe.
If Golovkin drops his hands and lets Jacobs hit him like he let Monroe and Wade hit him, it's over. You know this. In the same breath, he can't afford to try and outbox Jacobs like he did DL. Yes, that statement is subjective, but I'm going purely off the eye test here.
Another thing to think about is although Lemieux was KO'd by Rubio, GGG never hurt DL to the head. All the times DL was hurt was to the body. Does this mean that Rubio hits harder than GGG because he was able to hurt DL to the head? Of course not which is why I don't like using analogies like that when talking about fights.
GGG has never faced someone of Jacobs caliber that has all the tools, power and threats of Jacobs. I'm salivating thinking about it.
Tom Loeffler has said that Jacobs is more of a threat than Canelo for a reason.
http://******.craveonline.com/news/4...weekend-review
Tom Loeffler, who promotes Triple-G, said he’s open to a fight against Jacobs. “That becomes very big if both fighters keep winning,” he said. I think Jacobs matches up better with Golovkin than Alvarez does because he’s naturally bigger and has a better amateur foundation, although the Mexican might have a better chin. … I don’t think the knockout loss will be as damaging to Quillin’s career as one might assume. Sometimes even the best fighters get caught with a big shot, as Jacobs did in his knockout lose to Dmitry Pirog in 2010. It happens. And the controversial nature of the stoppage mitigates the loss to some degree. I think Quillin (32-1-1, 23 KOs) remains one of the best 160-pounders in the world. He’ll bounce back quickly. … As always, it made me sick to hear the broadcasters refer to Jacobs-Quillin as a title fight. It wasn’t. Jacobs holds the bogus WBA “regular” title, which was invented so the sanctioning body could collect additional fees. Everyone knows that Golovkin is the actual WBA champ. The “regular” belt means about as much as the belt I bought on sale at Macy’s last week. In other words, it means nothing. Blow-by-blow man Mauro Ranallo ultimately did label the proliferation of belts “ridiculous.” Kudos to him.
I definitely agree with this comment because people act like Jacobs doesn't posses power which he does and they act like he didn't get Quillin out of there in the first round that says a lot on his record it says more than Golovkin stopping Wade and that's fact and if he attacks Golovkin in the same fashion he beats Golovkin with ease im just wondering if he can handle the power of Golovkin
Plus I ain't gonna lie I wanted Pirog to win because I loved his movement power and Ring IQ you can tell he watched the best and I think he could of be Golovkin with ease If he didn't rupture his disc plus when you look at how fights are made believe me they can easily make this fight because they're letting all the bums go fight on HBO with no problem so what does that tell you about Jacobs he's no bum or pushover I agree he should of been fought Eubanks Jr or Saunders but I see all fights from Showtime easily made with the exception of Wilder vs Fury or Kovalev vs Stevenson which should be made based on those fights being big money fights
You are nothing but a biased, clueless hater.
Wade was a mandatory retard.
He's now targeting Jacobs and it has a good chance of happening next.
BJS is also now willing to come to the table.
Where does Canelo go from here? He ain't fighting Andrade is he? And if he gives the belt up, he'll have to move up to MW or get ridiculed. He's also injured. So paint me a picture. What if GG obtains Jacobs and BJS' belts? Then what? GG would have all of the belts and who else at MW could Canelo fight? The pressure to fight GG will be unbearable.
Now tell me how the f*ck he's trying to a kill a fight by asking for an overal, percentage? That overall percentage can be in Canelo's favour.
You probably think Floyd was being genuine with his flat fee to Manny.
You think K2 have been the roadblock since day 1? Ha! GTFOH.
This forum is a cesspit.
No Johnson was the mandatory Wade was the replacement due to his injury second BJS is only coming to the table for the same reason everyone else is trying to do and that's because they seen flaws in Golovkin vs Brook and now the whole division wants to fight him when Canelo Ward and Mayweather would be the only one's to give Golovkin a run for his money and if you talk money 10 million is a legit price being that your trying to make a fight you can't out price yourself out
Bradley said Crawford was begging to fight PBC guys. But then Crawford says Porter isn't a fight he's looking at lol.
And then has the nerve to act like he's faced or knocked out more undefeated opponents than Tank when he didn't even fight Ramirez Prograis or Hooker while he was still at 140 and I like Bud too I just don't see him knocking Spence Porter or Garcia out Tank will face the top guys and win I see Loma Santa Cruz and Lopez in Tank's radar for next year
Mini tank is so gangster he ducked Loma and is still ducking him.
I'll say it again Tank will fight Loma and Farmer before the year ends he's not ducking and dodging no one and that's a fact Loma does not want that work period if he did the fight would of been made trust
Before all you lames come on here and start running your mouth. Canelo was asked a question and he answered. He never said he would beat mayweather just saying itd be different...
Here's the video from TMZ Sports on that bro
https://youtu.be/ioY6NUlApPU
You sound even more stupid than Wilder when he said the reason his right hand was off against Fury was because he had too much baby oil on.
No baby oil please lol be real for a sec what Top 5 title holder has Joshua beat to earn his position that got him where he is at now no one at least Wilder stepped up even when I said he lost to Fury and I am a fan of Wilder too but he got outclassed outboxes and looked horrible and if Fury did the same to Joshua everyone in here who supports him would be butt hurt for real
floyd didnt really "hurt" people at 147 either, you dont need to knock people out to win a boxing match
Now that's true if your talking Hatton but Floyd did hurt Mosley Cotto Gatti Guerrero even Corrales but Floyd did enough for the sport love him or hate him there's not much left to prove
Smfh. Charlo needs Munguia more than Munguia needs charlo. This could be his breakthrough fight just like Spencer and stank had theirs with Mexican fighters.
idk how anybody gonna side with pbc knowing pbc dont want to co promote AND itll most likely be ppv.
How you sound off it looks like GBP is chasing this now while Charlo has no opponent nor solid date in line Munguia has not faced a legitimate opponent at 154 or 160 so why would Charlo need him when has a couple of options right now too
Where the F did he say May next year?
He said he wants to collect belts, fight Saunders, possibly Canelo and make the GGG fight big, possibly in 1 and a half years.
Are you stupid?
You must the stupid one did you not hear Saunders say he doesn't want Golovkin or Jacobs so who else would he be fighting I think he realizes that Golovkin is the guy to face in May believe that Golovkin will still try to make the fight with Canelo next year
Both Thurman and Porter are not exactly tough material. Porter held back once he felt the sting in Kell Brooks jab d we know he can be put down. Thurman can box but he depends on his power too much. If you hit him back he gets on his bike and runs so these guys are all smoke. Non of them is an elite fighter and whoever gets the win in this fight will just be a place holder. They can't beat Danny Garcia, they can't beat Bradley or Spence or even Kell Brook. Porter's a nice guys yes but as a boxer, C rate boxer.
Bradley can definitely be beat with ease believe me and I think it would be a close fight for Garcia but I laugh at the Brook Spence situation they win against Porter with ease
Don't count on this clown fighting Berchelt or Loma any time soon. Probably avoid Machado also. He's quickly running out of cherries to pick.
I do not see him ducking why would he not want to be a champ people should not worry about the negative things and say o well he's sucking just because he has fought those guys yet he still has improvements so in a year I see him facing Lomachenko or Berchelt for now he has a limited amount of options maybe Gary Russell or let's see if Valdez would move and step up maybe fight Salido cause that's a good fight for him
One PPV in December, featuring 2 of the Top 3 HWs, is not a problem! 3 PPVs in the span of 4 months is a BIG problem! As wild as it may sound, I think Wilder vs. Fury is probably the least PPV worthy fight of all 3!
I do agree with you but it's based on what fight is more worthy a lot of would say Spence vs Garcia but tine frame wise Wilder vs Fury is better for now I would had those fights at least 5 months apart because Showtime normally would air 2 maybe 3 PPV fights a year so this is not good
But for me they should of Spence vs Garcia but made that Wilder vs Fury fight after Wilder fought Joshua but Fury could of fought Kauffman or Kowinacki he had Ortiz Brezeale or Miller but this makes me question what would they really have to offer Joshua regardless of that 50 Mill
