Yeah I don't understand how people can rank Ward this high. It's been 5 years since he fought a guy with a pulse and he has had a major surgery. How can people in their right mind claim that he is a p4p'er of the highest caliber still?
ward's responsible for some of his inactivity, but there were also injuries, kelly pavlik losing his mind, gennady golovkin not accepting 168 or even 164, etc.
to be a fair, level poster, you need to consider everything. you've got a reputation for being a whiney little kid :lol1:
you're also ignoring that ward's signed to fight sergey kovalev, a naturally bigger, p4p ranked fighter, and one of the best punchers in the sport.
so yeah
:crying:
In other Words: You stay highly ranked if you have tried to make a couple of fights and if you sign to fight a high ranked fighter. LOL!
Why isn't Mosley on the P4P list!!!!! His resume is great!!!!
****ing mongs. Ward HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING IN FOUR YEARS.
He doesn't deserve the spot...
Roy Jones still no. 1 doe.
Out of the ondes you have listed, its Got to be wlad. A Shame you didn't mentioned 'A warriors call' for Mikkel Kessler. That one sends chills down the spinde and for my money is the Best boxing walk in song since Rocky.
This one is a special memory for me as I Was in the arena (with jreckoning BTW):

No doubt that this former European lightweight contender Martin Kristjansen handled Dirrell better than both:

Scooled. Kayoed. By a small lightweight.
:lol1:
Arreola was a last minute replacement and can at least make it an interesting fight. Its not the best but it will have to do for now. He should probably get the winner of Klitschko/Fury, unless there's a rubber match clause. The hell with Povetkin, he had his chance and blew it.
I agree although Arreola is shot to bits and wont make it interesting at all. Povetkin blew it yes. Not Wilders fault, but the bottom line stands that he has done f*ck all so far.
I've followed his career since the olympics and the only fighter I can think of that was open about fighting him was someone he already defeated.....Carl Froch
He was inactive a long time so you think someone would have jumped at the chance at facing a "rusty" WARD
Ward isn't the most popular but everyone appreciates his skill and ability
Im disappointed he is fighting a guy like Brand, Ive never seen him fight to be honest. I know Badou Jack said it was hard to look good against him
Most people think punchers are the guys that are ducked but fighters who make you look bad and arent big $$$$ fighters get avoided, ducked or whatever term you prefer
I just pose a simple question.....when was the last time you saw someone openly chase and candidly call out Andre Ward?
Kessler did. He was very vocal, but even though you have followed Ward's career closely since the olympics, you missed that one.
Very strange that you missed it btw, as courtdocuments shows that Ward asked Kessler for an offer for a fight which he got and then guess what happened next: Nothing! Ward flat out said no with no counter or anything.
Also Lucian Bute. He offered Ward a fight after the s6 which Ward also flat out turned down.
You may thank me for giving you some additional info on your idol Ward now.
Any insight into why the Nordic won't do VADA testing?
No. I find it very odd. I can think of a multitude of reasons as to why Skoglund wouldn't take the fight, but certainly not PED testing.
You don't think it's a little gutless to troll w/ bogus thread title? I do. Act like a child, expect to get called out on it.
Don't tell me that you don't get the point here?
Stiverne is ranked 18 world/6 US, NOW. I imagine he was even higher before losing to Wilder?
Edit, oh, I see you covered that but didn't have the integrity to change the thread title.
Read the thread before you post then mate.
That you're another guy heckling him because it's a cheap opportunity to do so. He HAS fought a top 30 guy, and should be fighting his 2nd, but that guy was so inadequate he had to dope.
You guys are wanking yourselves over Wilder taking a keep busy fight. "Look! Look! Look what he did!!" As if he wasn't supposed to be fighting one of the most dangerous fighters in the division.
I'm not even a fan of the guy but I'm even less a fan of this kind of foolishness.
People hype Wilder for no reason. That's what I try to tell here. And he had 3 silly defenses before Povetkin.
Technically he will be when he fights Aerreola, who got a disgraceful #9 ranking. realistically, I think his next fight.
Be clear, you can't blame Wilder for Povetkin cheating but you can blame him for choosing Aerreola instead of a better opponent.
I am not talking alphabet rankings at all. They are useless.
And I don't blame for Wilder for the Povetkin fiasco and I don't blame him for taking a replacement opponent at short notice. My point is just the bottom line which is that he hasn't faced anyone worth anything.
you attempting to be a smart azz failed....if i knew the answer I wouldnt have asked the question
:lame:
You big up yourself claiming you have followed Ward closely since he wore diapers. In other words we are to believe you might know what you are talking about. So you imply that Ward is a ducked fighter and that nobody calls him out.
You are then proven wrong to a big extent and your thread is a massive fail. Your comeback: I like to watch fights.
:dunce:
You don't suspect that Skoglund is on the juice?
I have no reason to. Besides he is also with Sauerland that has their fighters doing random testing anyway. It's part of their contract afaik.
Bat I could care less. If he doesn't make a GGG deal for September I don't give a f-ck who he fights unless it's Kovalev, Ward or Wilder.
That said, Lemuiex at 160 because he is a GBP fighter or Rosado at 160 if he wins his next fight. My guess is they put either on regular HBO.
LMAO!
Nice one Dunn.
It don't make sense though....why would he pass 3 tests just before that and then fail it 15 days later and with only a few weeks before the fight...crazy to think they would risk that fight so close to fight night....Russian vodka
Yep. I cannot see any reasonable explanation for that. So for now I absolutely say that mofo should be banned and hopefully Wilder somehow gets a compensation for his expenses preparing for the fight.
The circumstances with Canelo are probably the worst, considering he first tried an unacceptable weight limit, then pushed for more tune ups, then just vacated.
Bowe-Lewis was almost as bad but at least Bowe didn't go through all that crap.
May-Pac is a very very close 2nd or 3rd cos Floyd outright refused to fight Pac, citing Pacs power.
Bowe. Oh yes. That was as blatant a duck as we ever will see.
Pac-May. Well to be fair it's not really possible to unbiased place the blame squarely on one of them, and in the end they did fight. 5 years too late....
You say you will fight anyone from 154 to 168
I think it was a loudmouth from his team that said it years ago isn't that correct?
What about Ward ducking Wladimir Klitschko? He must Count by your standards and it wasn't said by someone from his team. It came from the man himself!
Jones was shell shocked over Seoul and i don't blame him
That's a long story bro, but some could claim that Jones should travel to the lineal champion.
