I've followed his career since the olympics and the only fighter I can think of that was open about fighting him was someone he already defeated.....Carl Froch
He was inactive a long time so you think someone would have jumped at the chance at facing a "rusty" WARD
Ward isn't the most popular but everyone appreciates his skill and ability
Im disappointed he is fighting a guy like Brand, Ive never seen him fight to be honest. I know Badou Jack said it was hard to look good against him
Most people think punchers are the guys that are ducked but fighters who make you look bad and arent big $$$$ fighters get avoided, ducked or whatever term you prefer
I just pose a simple question.....when was the last time you saw someone openly chase and candidly call out Andre Ward?
you attempting to be a smart azz failed....if i knew the answer I wouldnt have asked the question
:lame:
You big up yourself claiming you have followed Ward closely since he wore diapers. In other words we are to believe you might know what you are talking about. So you imply that Ward is a ducked fighter and that nobody calls him out.
You are then proven wrong to a big extent and your thread is a massive fail. Your comeback: I like to watch fights.
:dunce:
he moved up to 175 so I wouldnt say "his weight class" he isnt exactly a big light heavyweight considered he turned pro fighting at 163-165 until the super 6
Why do you have to lie? Ward was weighin in at full 168 few fights before the super 6. He even weighed in 171 for one.
He was good height reach and weight for LHW, period, don't even think of making excuses for him. He is similar to Kovalev now as we discussed in other thread.
Since the super six nobody has been calling for Ward.
This site is shook with all the haters just crying that they won't call him out because of the overhead, or high risk or low reward BS
Ward dropped from the top rankings because of inactivity. Very few p4p can match his style and the top fighter that he has faced
Kovalev, Martirosyan, Bute, DeGale, Stevenson, Golovkin, Barrera and Froch have all called out Ward.
I remember reading somewhere that Kessler was not interested in a rematch because he said Ward fights dirty and he doesn't want to be involved in that again. Not sure where you guys saw that Kessler called him out again.
come to think of it....Battling Nelson was around much more around 2012-2013
is that really why he only makes a cameo on the forum's now
come to think of it...Battling Nelson was Danish like Kessler......AHHHHHH....touche brother
He only shows up for topics about Ward to complain lol
Don't waste your time, that dude been on here b1tching since the Super 6 because Ward Whipped his guy Kessler's Ass

yea lets sit here and act like you haven't missed a detail, stat about a topic in you entire life
news flash genius, I wouldnt have asked if I knew the answer. I follow the fights, I dont pay as close attention to out of ring stuff as many people on here do. FOR EXAMPLE, I would be the last person to ask about Top ranks roster, PBC, cold wars, A side/ B side, all that is not my m.o.
I like to watch the fights.
OMG you dudes act like kids on this site.

Kessler did. He was very vocal, but even though you have followed Ward's career closely since the olympics, you missed that one.
Very strange that you missed it btw, as courtdocuments shows that Ward asked Kessler for an offer for a fight which he got and then guess what happened next: Nothing! Ward flat out said no with no counter or anything.
Also Lucian Bute. He offered Ward a fight after the s6 which Ward also flat out turned down.
You may thank me for giving you some additional info on your idol Ward now.

at the time the top 168ers were kessler, froch and Abraham.....get over it
Also all 3 went on to do good things after he beat them
Calzaghe beat Kessler to become the true man there a while before...you cant rewrite history
who did he miss? Bute? Bute has lost to every top supermiddleweight he faced.
cant rewrite history...now its Jack and DeGale's division
Abraham was coming off a loss, how the hell was he at the top. You guys make me laugh with this nut hugging.
People can't improve? Boxing is who you beat at the time. Froch lost to Kessler the first time and went on to get his revenge in the rematch.
He didn't even beat Dirrell, he had a chance to but you can tell they both didn't want it. Froch beat Abraham before Ward.
If anyone truly cleaned the division, it's Froch, not Ward. I'm sure you guys will never admit it cause of some type of pride but whatever.
Maybe Lucian Bute who sat back and let everybody else fight each other in the Super 6 then after the Dust was cleared he showed up trying to be bold claiming that he "Want To Fight". Chad Dawson also who not only issued the challenge but said he would come down which we all know now was a huge mistake other than that NOBODY!
Ward is one of the best P4P in the world and he basically has to chase down opponents and make calls just to find guys who are WILLING to fight! That is more of a credit to him and shows you how much respect other fighters have for him but also how WEAK this ERA is in which guys have ZERO Desire to fight the very best to try and beat them and make a name for themselves
good call :boxing: i remember that
Chad was a prospect at 168, He most likely wanted to get that title cause it didnt present itself on his way up.
that last statement you made was golden and true
*Sigh* You guys are still in fantasy land claiming Ward cleaned a division. He never did that. Anyways, I really do hope if Ward were to beat Kovalev, he doesn't ruin the momentum like he did with Froch. He has a diva attitude and it scares me because I just want to see good fights. I'm paying for HBO and boxing is one of the reasons, at least make my money worth it with good fights.

Even now at 175 none of them are even MENTIONING Ward!
he was a 175lb amateur. he's been basically a 168lb his whole career.
168 = 175 if you take into account the fact that super middle wasnt an original weight class.
Ward hard has basically replicated Joe Calzaghe's career.
if you followed his career you'd know he didnt fight at light heavy in the amatuers until Olympic qualifiers and tourneys leading up to them
USA didnt have a light heavy and Andre Dirrell was simply not as good as Ward so Ward moved up so Dirrell could have a shot at middleweight gold
he didnt do anything at the weight til augiust 2002 when he won the under 19 nationals and was middleweight USA am champion in '01 at middleweight
If he was filled out at 179, he wouldnt have been able to get back to 165 and under in the pros
he fought well under 168 before the super 6 a few times.
