yes, i understand there are sanctioning fees but i dont get exactly what they are paying for or how often. they are just paying just to physically hold on to the belt? Both sides pay a fee to have their fight recognized by the governing body, in this case the WBC. Generally about 3% of their purse for the fight on each side. It was in jest but my point was the WBC strap isn't going to make GGG more money, it will in fact cost him money on his next fight since his purse will probably be the same as it has been in the past.
