If am Usyk I'm looking at the division and thinking I'm two fights away from being the GOAT. He has the cleaner work and busier than Fury. Always go with the better boxer and Usyk is the best boxer in the division. But he has to get past version 2 of AJ who's going to come in with a different game plan and as we've seen lately, fights can change.
There's no real way. Ortiz actually pushed Wilder back seconds before he got KO'd. Engaging him will only make you more susceptible to being caught. You basically have to throw caution to the wind and hope you catch him before he catches you. And even then he's got pretty good recovery and can KO you out if you don't finish the job.
Come on.....
yes it would be a hell of an achievement, but it wouldn't put him ahead of Lennox Lewis even if he decided to retire. Beating a Klitschko that didn't throw shots and a hard hitting but technically deficient Wilder won't propel anyone into the ATG discussion lol
I must confess I didn't see Lewis fight. I would have been 12 when he fought Vitali and I only started watching the sport properly a few years later. So I can only go by Lewis CV which having a glancing look at you could overshadow any of his wins as well.
IF Tyson wins does it catapult him to the greatest British boxer of all time ? Going into the lion's den twice and winning the belt would be one hell of an acheivement.
According to Fury he spoke to both fighters and said he'll give them enough chance to recover. But if he sees them wobbly on their feet he's stopping it.
AJ or Wilder don't fight as elusive as Bellew did tonight. AJ has become gun shy in his last few fights and Wilder has been outboxed by lesser fighters. He probably loses both but lets not pretend he hasn't got a chance.
I love a good jab as my name suggests but you can't win a fight by landing 5 jabs to your opponents 1 good clean hook. That happened a few times last night, GGG wasn't doing enough. But there was also a round or two where Canelo was taking a rest and GGG took it by jabbing.
I don't want to be a spoil sport but when someone is landing every single right hand power shot flush and the other guys eye is closed, you stop the fight.
Well.... HAHA I'll shut my mouth. Staggering.
Long time lurker. But I had Ward winning

After the knockdown he answered everything Kovalev threw at him with just as much conviction and cleaner. But I definitely will watch the fight again.
