I'll admit i was a bit worried at first when the fight was made, i thought it was too soon for Fury, but he's completely convinced me that he'll win.
Watch this video of Fury on the pads, he's an absolute beast, the speed & movement is insane, Wilder has no chance other than landing a lucky punch.
I was one of the very few people on here to confidently pick Fury over Klitschko, and i'm doing the same again. Fury points or late stoppage.
It's been three years since Fury fought anybody with a pulse, and even before the layoff he had a suspect chin and a suspect gas tank. Nor does he have the power to hurt Wilder.
His only chance is to outbox him and run away the whole fight, but the problem is Wilder has incredible stamina.
It's only going to take one shot to turn the fight in Wilder's favor. He could lose 8 rounds in a row by a big margin but all he needs is one shot.
I think some people are mistaking Fury mental toughness and weight loss as him being “Ready”, your brains can be on point but not with your body. There are levels to this shit, fact is Fury was out for 2/3 years on drinks, drugs and depression. You don’t just comeback from that and jump into the biggest fight after two tune ups that didn’t do anything for you.
People compare the Fury that fought Wlad to this one, wrong! He wasn’t the favourite going into the Wlad fight but he wasn’t out for three years neither abusing his body. If he beats Wilder then it shows how terrible Wilder really is and the reason why they cherrypicked Fury.
Will the ref allow him to? That's what worries me.
Yea the ref is a big factor. But if the ref lets him be, he should use the same approach he did for cunningham.
Fury is physically much stronger than wilder and i think he will impose his size and make it an ugly fight. He is going to use his mobility while boxing on the outside and tie him up when The action gets close.

Anyone see the press conference when they both got up and Fury challenged him to a body spar? Fury throws a quick fient and Wilder jumped a mile back.
Fury is going to be doing things in the ring that Wilder has never seen before. People should also check out the Joe Rogan podcast, Fury is mentally in a very good place, he's hungry and motivated, and that makes him very dangerous. He's clearly in excellent shape, looking sharp and the fight is still a month out.
People keep asking if Fury is ready, I'm asking, is Wilder ready?
Fury seems to be in the same place mentally as he was before the Wlad fight, which is a good sign. I just hope his reflexes and timing are there with him.
Wilder is sounding more like a deluded retard the closer the fight gets. I think he might have started believing his own bull****.

Fury has a suspect gas tank? When has he ever gassed in a fight? He goes 12 rounds easily. As for Wilder having the best stamina, he was out on his feet against a 50yr old Luis Ortiz, he's lucky he got his second wind and Ortiz didn't.
Fury doesn't need to one punch KO him, he hits hard enough to get your respect and he'll jab Wilder to bits, expect Deontays face to look a bloody mess after the fight.
Agree with the last part, it only takes one punch, but a good boxer always beats a good puncher, and Fury is levels above Wilder skillwise.

I must confess I didn't see Lewis fight. I would have been 12 when he fought Vitali and I only started watching the sport properly a few years later. So I can only go by Lewis CV which having a glancing look at you could overshadow any of his wins as well.
2 wins over Holyfield (record says a draw and a win though lol) is better than Wilder's entire resume. I'd say more than half his last 22 fights are better than most of Wilder's resume except for Luis Ortiz perhaps.
V.Klit
Tua
Golota
Grant
McCall
Bruno
Tucker
Ruddock
Tyson
Mercer
Briggs
Rahman
Those in red are the fighters I think Wilder would struggle with, and any of the others would be in with a chance except Grant IMO
Wladimir Klitschko has a much stronger resume than Wilder, but the night he fought Fury was arguably his worst performance since he last lost. Neither him nor Wilder are enough though I still think Fury has got time to make a legacy of his own, it's just I don't think there are enough decent HW's for him to really surpass the best British boxers of all time, let alone best British HW's of all time.
Come on.....
yes it would be a hell of an achievement, but it wouldn't put him ahead of Lennox Lewis even if he decided to retire. Beating a Klitschko that didn't throw shots and a hard hitting but technically deficient Wilder won't propel anyone into the ATG discussion lol

Wilder’s speed and right hand always makes him awkward and dangerous but I believe Fury beats him. Fury needs to stay on his toes and avoid the big shots but i cant picture a good mobile boxer like him losing to an amateur like Wilder.
Fury is going to school this guy
IF Tyson wins does it catapult him to the greatest British boxer of all time ? Going into the lion's den twice and winning the belt would be one hell of an acheivement.

How is Wilders chin though. He hasn't had to take too many punches so far. Not against someone with the range to land consistently. Sparked cold in the amatuers, badly dropped by Sconiers, looked at by the doctor mid fight in the last one. I think he's shaky.
I also think he's a bit shaky ... but he hasn't lost yet either :boxing:
Stiverne shook him up with a big shot and so did Molina I think

This I agree, Wilder is 6'7 (and TBH I wonder sometimes if he's not 6'8 when I see him next to Fury or other guys) for 215 pounds.
He's fast, long and light, he's akward, like a spaghetti like Tyson said, he's hard to clip clean.
He took a lot of punches in his pro career, but he always get hit by the end of the punches, he never really got clipped clean by a huge puncher.
When Ortiz touch him well, he almost was ready to go.
I don't think you need to punch hard to KO Wilder, I think you need to clip him clean with a counter when he goes full retard swinging.
I think Wilder has a fighting IQ and instinct and won't rush Fury, he will be cautious like he was with Ortiz.

Exactly my thoughts, I wont count Fury out, but I dont see him winning. Wilder will eventually catch him.
What if Fury catch Wilder?
It will be a 255 pounds man hitting on a 215 pounds man, and Fury is not a short armed potatoe like Arreola, Wilder will attack straight up and down, wild open, and might get clipped by something nasty.
I'm curious to see how Wilder who usually fight tall take a counter coming down on his chin from a bigger, taller man.
