Lomachenko is moving back down in weight, isn't he?
I doubt he wants to run through that gauntlet of fighters. He already dropped the WBC belt rather than have a Haney mando hanging over his head. And Haney kinda sucks.
I would be let down if Loma went back down in weight.
He still has the skills and power to be in the mix with these 4 young dudes, esp. if his shoulder holds up.
I would rather see him retire than move down in weight.
Of course.
Hes an entertainer and provides headlines.
Everybody will now tune in to see him back in the ring.
This wouldn't surprise me if its all just a marketing ploy.
Based off his last performance this is guna sound dumb and Im ready to take the heat for it but he beats them all. I'm just convinced with Haney.
At the very worst he is guna be tough to beat. Time will tell, but he boxed well but seemed to have no pop at the weekend. Surprised me a little.
dam right.
He looks to be a very good boxer but with not much power.
Thats ok though aslong as he has enough pop to keep guys just walking through which i think he has.
I agree with this, better for Cruz at 130. I still wanna see the Russell fight, preferably next. Russell needs his mouth shut for him, who's better to do it? Davis. He has a chance against Cruz.
Loma beat Gary.
So why want the low hanging fruit?
I don't think he cherry picked. his opposition was strong on average. He did not fight a killer every fight but nobody in boxing does that or ever did that. All the great champions had easy fights against weaker fighters now and then. I think he is an all time great but not the TBE or the GOAT. I don't have a list of the top 50 best fighters in history and I don't know all the great fighters well enough to accurately rate them. I doubt anyone reading this thread has a top 50 best all time great list or is qualified to rate them all either. I think Mayweather might be one of the 20 or 30 best fighters of all time but I doubt he belongs in the top 10. Just my opinion. You can never prove greatness one way or the other because it is based on opinions not provable fact.
Would you consider Manny to be higher or lower on the ATG scale as at 2020?
Thats a great idea but not very ideal for Ortiz besides cash.
Remember what happened to Kov though when he went back to back.
I can see it being a good fight considering Ortiz got him out early.
This fight makes sense lets do it.
Ortiz/Whyte.
Questions will be answered when Garcia fights Campbell.
I think Ryan will knock him out.
What Tank did today was special but it was expected and nothing was learnt.
If Ryan fought Tank next and this is before Campbell i would have my money on Ryan knocking Tank out.
or is he going to fight another midget
I hope he does take on a top 10 at lightweight and not bringing a guy up.
Tank looked good, but this fight didn't prove anything to me.
Lets see what happens.
TANK/GARCIA would be a huge fight.
No-one is mentioning Loma cause he lost a close fight to Lopez.
Loma will definitely be a hard W for these guys to get over him.
I put the Lopez fight down to alot of mistakes in the Loma camp, not to take anything away from Lopez's win but Loma definitely still has a stake for being the best at 135 plus he has a decent following.
Lopez should give Loma a re-match if he wants top dollar and easy fight to make.
OK, I am STILL not sold on Haney.
Lol. He won every round but that was the worst Gamboa performance out of the top 3.
Question marks are definitely still out on Haney.
So hes not going to fight Crawford which is the fight all fans want.
Im sick of these dudes marinating fights then when it gets close something happens to spoil the match up.
Dont worry bout a 40yr old Manny, fight Bud for fuk sake.
Great fight on short time.
I recently watched Plant on Showbiz and he said hes ready for Nelo and this was before all the recent news.
Caleb wants this fight and knows he has to beat the GUY to become the GUY.
It would not surprise me abit if this fight was being organised behind closed doors cause Caleb was talking like Nelo would be his next fight.
Nice, I bought a boat bouy from Amazon to use as an aqua bag myself, saved like a hundred bucks.
How do you use a boat bouy to make a aqua bag?
Do you fill it up with water?
Odviously Ali cause hes a Heavyweight,
most of the general public dont understand weight classes and all they will think is the bigger dude will beat the smaller guy.
Plus Ali was a icon for a generation who spoke his mind on political agendas that alot of the world agreed with.
Although Manny is a atg with political ambitions his beliefs dont always align with the public at large.
Going by resume i would have to choose Ali aswell.
Naw Lubin is OK, he kinda "Fell Asleep" vs Gausha and lost respect for his power and got sloppy and Gausha clipped him on the top of his head not even on his Chin and it threw off his Equilibrium but he recovered well. Before that, he was boxing well and dominating. Hell even after that shot he recovered and hurt Guasha multiple times in the 12 and finished strong
Vs better opponents you will see him tighten things up more. Cunningham is the perfect trainer for him, he was telling him all fight "Don't Fall Asleep" and he did and Gausha made him pay for it. Lucky for him Gausha is not a big puncher but where he landed that shot it doesn't take much Power to knock off someone Equilibrium when you hit that Temple Area and all of a sudden they have Vertigo
So whatever, also heard people say "Lennox Lewis Has A Weak Chin" "Wlad Has A Weak Chin" yet years and Decades Later both are All Time Greats. Not comparing Lubin to those Legends BUT, you can overcome a Suspect or Shaky Chin in Boxing...Try not to get it in it as much and certainly not with big shots. That is why Lennox used his Jab more as well as Wlad used his jab an also wasn't too prideful to Clinch to avoid getting hit with something he didn't see coming
Do you think Joshua has a weak chin?
So you’re telling me that fighting Luke Campbell for a non world title is a more interesting fight than fighting Devin Haney for a world title fight?
Yeah you definitely would fit in with today’s promoters and managers easily cuz they don’t make the best fights as often as they should with that philosophy!
If Teo wanted work with Haney he could’ve gotten it but he fought Richard Commey instead!
Thats lies.
Hows Lopez gonna fight Haney when he wasn't ranked by WBC as the Mandatory?
Lopez cant have his rightful shot at the IBF then say nah fuk that i want the WBC champ it dont work like that.
I know you know that so your grabbing at straws my bro.
Gary Russell, Jr Sends New Term Sheet Back To Devin Haney & Attorneys & Have Until January 30, 2021 To Fight!
https://youtu.be/ZjdS3Itq7w8
lol, this is the exact contract i said in the Haney is the boogeyman thread to debunk that, but so far got crickets.
Man good video but i just cannot see Lopez doing anything to Loma that he hasn't seen already.
I predict that Loma is going to put a beating on this young guy enough to make him No Mas.
Thats if the knockout dont come first. Loma wont be looking for a decision here he wants to teach Lopez a lesson in humility.
The guys talking crap about Loma wont give him any respect.
I dont see this as a dangerous fight for Loma just cause Loma is levels above Teo but its gonna be fun watching him getting broke down and stopped.
Those same clowns are the ones hat bash canelo for fighting top compe back to back but the minute he faces a tune up he’s the worse ever but theyre heroes Betrrrbut, ggg, Loma, Fury face bum after bum after bum and they’re the greatest thing since slice bread.
But I think we all know why.
Not all of us Kidbazooka.
I love seeing Boots box and am cheering for the dude to do good.
I also like Loma and Bud and cheered for GGG against Nelo.
I appreciate nelo as a boxer though and watch all his fights.
What im saying is ya cant pigeon everyone into one category or else you become like them.
i mean, in hindsight, Teo can pop. He definitely has the power. But he's only been a champ not that long ago.
Experience will play in this fight.
I think there were a lot of scenarios in boxing history that play out exactly the same like this fight. Almost always, experience wins. But there are those that actually won beating the more experience fighters. And they turned out to be special.
I don't like Loma because he's a diva fighter. But I give him 8-4 winning this fight.
I wouldn't bet money in this fight.
lol how is Loma a diva?
:rofl::rofl: I know right. Would love to hear that too. I might be wrong but I swear people just repeat whatever a boxer says during promotion. According to Lopez (Loma is a Diva)… Yeah he is a diva, Has he ever said anything like those American boxers say? Nope, Has he ever made demands off his opponent? Nope (Gave Lopez part of his purse to make sure he actually takes this fight).
Its totally ridiculous.
The only thing i get from that dudes post is now i know he's just a simpleton.
Ffs some of the things that get said on NSB by these guys is mind boggling.
Plus Nsb is the best boxing site to go to. WTF.
Going off both recent fights i would have to go with Jacobs.
Like Goat mentioned though Saunders seems the type to get up for bigger fights.
Maybe its a Pikey thing?
He calls Loma simply 'that hoe'. Time to go to his den then. I don't think Loma gets to him. There's a line up.
Why would Loma want a re-match he completely outclassed GRJ.
Canelos lawyers asked for a specific chance to fight on rival networks while this is in negotiations. We'll see
Yer but DAZN will fight tooth and nails not to let that happen.
Its never been allowed before in my understanding but yer we will have to wait and see i suppose.
Hoping Nelo gets to fight cause i like his style but i also hate his diva attitude.
