Lubin has a weak chin.

For someone who was KTFO in one round in his first major fight, was rather ordinary in his last fight and hasn't shown anything yet to demonstrate he really belongs at top level, there's a lot of talking about this kid.

I mean other then getting caught rushing in by mora hes only been dropped by golovkin since right? And he took heavy shots the rest of the fight and stood right in front of him. Also took shots in the canelo and chenko fights.. I mean after getting iced like lubin I would say hes made a fine career as a pro He’s adapted his style nicely to avoid taking many flush shots on the chin but he’s not exactly solid there.

I guarantee you Lubin will also be stopped by people less skilled than him. Having a ****e chin doesn't make you a bad boxer. It doesn't. But it lends credence to: they may not be as skilled as some such as yourself think they are. Lubin has already been stopped by a person less skilled than him. Soo.... Outside of Fundora, Hurd, or Charlo again. I don't see anybody less skilled than him with the capability to stop him. The main reason it's even a possibility is cause Lubin wasn't even fighting near this weight until his last amateur tournament iirc. Which is the same year he turned pro. Everybody he can & needs to fight for credibility are all the naturally bigger man.

If Tony Harrison was over him Lubin wouldn't have been spanking him in sparring. He's also been stopped 3 times by ppl who aren't more skilled than him. J rock is the closest but I just think Lubin is better, he also had a better performance with a common opponent in Gallimore. & he's been stopped twice by ppl who aren't more skilled than him. & Lara is no longer in his prime. Even if his Chin Shaky... that just means he needs to do a better job of "Holding His Phone" meaning keeping that damn Guard up High and Tight and don't pull straight back Definitely, Lubin is offensive minded but he has to pay more attention to his defense and not have those lapses.

I do think that he got hurt because he relaxed too much at that point in the fight. Only time will tell if his whiskers are world class. I am a big Jrock fan but his chin has been a let down. Naw Lubin is OK, he kinda "Fell Asleep" vs Gausha and lost respect for his power and got sloppy and Gausha clipped him on the top of his head not even on his Chin and it threw off his Equilibrium but he recovered well. Before that, he was boxing well and dominating. Hell even after that shot he recovered and hurt Guasha multiple times in the 12 and finished strong Vs better opponents you will see him tighten things up more. Cunningham is the perfect trainer for him, he was telling him all fight "Don't Fall Asleep" and he did and Gausha made him pay for it. Lucky for him Gausha is not a big puncher but where he landed that shot it doesn't take much Power to knock off someone Equilibrium when you hit that Temple Area and all of a sudden they have Vertigo So whatever, also heard people say "Lennox Lewis Has A Weak Chin" "Wlad Has A Weak Chin" yet years and Decades Later both are All Time Greats. Not comparing Lubin to those Legends BUT, you can overcome a Suspect or Shaky Chin in Boxing...Try not to get it in it as much and certainly not with big shots. That is why Lennox used his Jab more as well as Wlad used his jab an also wasn't too prideful to Clinch to avoid getting hit with something he didn't see coming I do think that he got hurt because he relaxed too much at that point in the fight. People used to say the same about daniel Jacob's. Hes to green to really tell right now.. and I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment that jermell isnt a good puncher, those twins are big and a clean shot from a decent puncher could knock anybody out.. maybe it's just a case of him being defensively irresponsible like crawford seems to be at this point Jacobs still doesn't have a great chin.

You get knocked down and even Wobbled in this ERA and all of a sudden "You Have A Weak Chin" now AJ finished on his Feet vs Ruiz and like Lubin he was clipped on the Temple/Top Part of his Head and his Equilibrium was off for the rest of that fight and credit to Andy he jumped on him Hard to say he has a "Weak Chin" when he kept getting up and also got up from a great shot from Wlad So No I don't think AJ has a "Weak Chin". Very good comparison and point. Jacobs ended up taking bombs from Quillin, Golovkin, Canelo, and Derevyanchenko pretty well. The Golovkin knockdown was mostly due to being off balance but it counts I guess. Crawford on the other hand has a history of getting rocked by non-punchers, he doesn't get hit cleanly often but when he does it seems like he doesn't respond well every time. I heard he was dropped multiple times in the amateurs as well. Idk he seems to get hit quite a bit, but I mean it could be because he tends to mix it up quite a bit. But yes, Jacob's has turned into a famn good gritty fighter since the pirog fight. Lubin is still very green he has plenty of time to do the same
