Great fight on short time. I recently watched Plant on Showbiz and he said hes ready for Nelo and this was before all the recent news. Caleb wants this fight and knows he has to beat the GUY to become the GUY. It would not surprise me abit if this fight was being organised behind closed doors cause Caleb was talking like Nelo would be his next fight.

Good fight for a short turnaround. Get Canelo in the ring while his team works on the next stage of his career.

December 19? That's so soon. You would hope Plant get's a good camp or has been active for a bit in training. Im pretty sure plant is a dedicated gym rat he doesnt really blow up in between fights. He should be good go to go if this goes down

does Plant have any chance? Not much, I see him taking a few early rounds but Canelo will close the distance pretty easily and hurt him with body shots in the second half of the fight. Better would be BJ Saunders with his constant foot movement and southpaw angles that would frustrate Canelo through the whole fight. David Benavidez with his high volume and variety of punches and cumulative damage that would slow Canelo down and put him under a lot of risk in the exchanges.
