I wouldn't say it's trendy to trash Ruiz, rather: it's necessary, IMO.

These are words to live by people. Grab a pen and paper, write this down, and keep it somewhere you can see it every morning you wake up. Ruiz is the true champ because no other heavyweight was brave enough to face him. Golota was 'brave enough' even to floor Ruiz twice, but got screwed by King's judges. Don had a different scenario for this, Ruiz kept the belt cause there are too many Latino fans in US. Now the 'title show' moves to Chicago, as Don would like to make some money on the Poles...

1. Golota has no problems with law in Poland. The old case is finished. Now he still has some minor charges for punching some drunk asshole in front of a hotel, but that's nothing serious. He comes to Poland and leaves whenever he wants. 2. Talking about his training and shape, everyone who had ever watched Golota before knows that vs Byrd and Ruiz he was very well prepared. And he 'won' those fights. He injured his left arm in the 6th round vs Byrd. Rounds 7-12 he fought practically one handed, that's why Byrd managed til the end. 3. Someone said Bowe should have been 240lbs and knocked out Golota within 2 rounds... LOL, that made me laugh... How about the rematch, when 'slim' Bowe got the worst beatdown in his life? 4. You want Golota and Brewster out of HW division (to the one talking shit about missile hitting the place)? And who's gonna be fighting for the title? Meehan vs Donald? Yeah, that would be awesome... Andrew should beat Brewster and then fight Klitschko/Rahman. If not, rematch vs Ruiz or Byrd, finally beat the shit out of any of those 2. Then he can retire.

Bowe fights were both dirty, both guys were committing fouls. In the first Andrew was winning, but just couldn't stand that Bowe was not going down... ;) In the second, Golota was knocked down with punches to the back of the head, the ref didn't react. Andrew got pissed off, but still didn't need to hit low, he put Bowe down cleanly twice. But again, he wanted to KO him and couldn't, so he started to get nervous. Hitting low in that fight was a big mistake. He could have just stood there hitting Bowe's head til the end and get a wide decision win. The Lewis fight was lost before it started (muscle relaxant injected just before, he was slow like a cow), besides, he would've lost it anyway, Lennox was just too good for him, I guess. The one I would never understand was his quitting in the Grant fight. He would have got an easy decision, it was enough to just stand there after the kd and do nothing til the end... He said after the fight 'I thought I was losing on cards anyway' - wtf!!?? The Tyson fight... Well, he said he quit cause Tyson was fouling him and the ref didn't react, he was asking his corner to talk to referee, but they didn't do it. Plus he got the jaw broken end of first round and some problems with his hand, he felt Tyson would have killed him. ;) I don't think so, the second round was better than the first, but it was him in the ring, not me. Maybe he felt he just couldn't continue... Talking about last 2 fights. Byrd draw was almost fair ;) but the 'loss' to Ruiz was unfair IMO. He didn't finish the job, true, but hey, Ruiz did nothing to win the fight, except for a couple of single punches that caught Golota, but did no harm at all. Now Brewster - Andrew must win and will win this time. Albert Sosnowski beat Brewster up in a sparring, c'mon... If somehow Golota doesn't do the same in the title fight, he should give up boxing, no doubt...

'Hate' is too strong, maybe I'm too old to hate anyone. But I surely can't stand 'the champ' Ruiz, but he is not a boxer imo, so probably doesn't count... Too bad he has the belt and I'll have to watch him at least once more (hopefully someone floors this fag for good). Tyson was a good fighter, but a bit of a big mouth retard, plus rapist (boooo). I enjoyed watching him fight, but the guy's finished and should finally understand it. On the other hand he probably needs money so will keep getting humiliated by guys like Williams, which will make him even more retarded and will end up in Parkinson disease... Riddick Bowe mostly for his pussy complaints (while he was dirty as fuck himself) and for the monkeys in his corner who started the riot at MSG after Bowe-Golota I. I also don't like Rocchigiani, but he is not really worth mentioning.

Champions don't drop their belts and run when faced with a rematch. Zero defenses? Roy is no champ. Ruiz the champ. Yeah, keep on jerking off, it won't take long. Everybody knows judges fucked it up. Everybody except you and some other BUMS...

LOL... The picture was taken in mid 80's. The guy IN THE MIDDLE IS MICHALCZEWSKI, second from the right is GOLOTA! Are they so hard to recognize? The picture was not taken in any ghetto (we don't have ghettos in Poland, LOL), but in front of their boxing club in Warsaw. They used to train there as junior boxers. The rest of the guys are boxers from the same club, if I remember well.

I still think Michalczewski is the guy on the far left Ok, but I don't think that he stands in the middle, I KNOW that... :) The picture was in Polish newspapers couple of times and long ago, it was signed, Dariusz was even speaking about those junior years and his arguments with Golota...

C'mon, it's getting ridiculous! Dariusz is standing in the middle in white jacket!!! I saw this picture signed with names, it was shown during an interview with Dariusz, he commented on the photo and spoke about their (his and Golota's) early days in boxing... Just give up the pointless discussion! *I'm a Pole living in Poland, if it helps you believe me... :)

Don't know about local rules in USA, but in senior amateur boxing in the past there were 3 x 3mins rounds, now there are 4 x 2mins rounds.

Both Klitchkos would trash him now. So would Golota, once more.

I have only my father-in-law. Former fighter and coach. Decent achievments, great experience and knowledge. Good to watch boxing with him.

So if Ruiz sucks, how much do Rahman, Oquendo, Golota, Johnson, and Holyfield suck? You can trash talk Ruiz all you want but never say he sucks. As for Rahman, Golota and Holy, if they suck (hmm, well?), they suck much less than Ruiz.

Klitschko would KTFO him despite his brilliant hugging tactics. Byrd would outbox him to a wide dec, even Brewster could probably. I hope he will have a rematch with Golota someday...

Ruiz, I just love his style. He is unique. When he tried to fight like a boxer vs Golota, he got dropped immediately... Seriously, how can anyone like Ruiz (as a fighter)? Maybe if you're Puerto Rican, OK, but apart from that?

Dariusz career has to be over now. He was a good champion with a remarkebale run but he will never be the fighter he once used to be. That's nothing to be ashamed of as nobody can avoid getting older and slower. I saw the fight and it wasn't completly onesided but I had Tiozzo 49-46 up going into the sixth round. I gave Dariusz the forth, if my memory serves me right, but that one could've gone either way. Tiozzo was clearly the better and more active fighter and desvered the win hands down. Dariusz tried to rally with short uppercuts and left-right combos but didn't impress Tiozzo at all. A right hook to the upper part of the head finally took away Daruisz' feet and set him up for some quick shots that knocked him down. He made the count, the ref allowed him to continue but as Tiozzo banged away Dariusz was defensless and turned his back on Fabrice leaving the referee no other choice but to TKO him. Good refereeing there as the fight was clearly decided and further punishment unneccesary. His trainer Fritz Sdunek and his promoter Klaus-Peter Kohl made pretty clear statements about the future of Dariusz in the boxing sport. Both would like him to retire. So that should've been the end of a Hall of Fame career. Very good summary, I saw it the same way. I was shocked though how easily Tiozzo won the fight. I expected Darek to fight much better, at least to give Tiozzo some trouble. No footwork at all, he was stiff as hell, at some moments being a punching bag... I think he should retire now, cause he won't be back at the top, and beating down 15+ ranked fighters isn't a challenge for him anymore. Lots of respect for all his career, but it's time to go now...

1. DM hadn't any questionable decisions. If you say he had, means you never watched those fights. The only thing we can mention is the first Rocchigiani fight, but hey, wasn't it after the bell or what? 2. DM never fought in the States, cause he was offered shitty money. He beat all top American LHW fighters at the time, though (except for RJJ, who didn't feel like going to Germany to geet his ass whooped). ;-) 3. BS decisions happen everywhere, usually in the States (e.g. Lewis/Holy I, Ruiz/Golota and many more)...

It's a must-win fight for Andrew and he knows that. He will win. Said recently he wants to fight til 40, so must defeat Lamon and try to unify some belts (maybe Byrd again, but Chris doesn't really want it, maybe Ruiz, but I hope he will fight Klitschko)...
