Are you a John Ruiz fan?

I'd rather listen to that jerk-off Ben Stein speak for 2 hours straight than watch a John Ruiz fight. That motherfucker sucks. Anyone with eyes and a brain can see that when Ruiz has to box he sucks and he gets knocked the fuck out.

Ruiz has a good record cause the judges hasnt done their job. If i were alloud to knock all my opponents out to the croutch i would be a lot more succesfull boxer.

For the sake of the sport, please....hate on the guy. He needs to be banned ! Okay, I will too. But only for the sake of the sport! ;) But I agree with the fact that he is an effective fighter and seems like a generally good guy. But damn he is the boxing equivalent of a root canal without anestesia performed by Mike Tyson while he's not on his pills.

I don't hate on many fighters, the ones I do are because of character mostly. You could look at this Ruiz thing another way. You could respect his courage to get in the ring in the first place, he is never the most skilled or most dangerous fighter in the ring. Everyone knows that including him I'm sure, but he fights anyway. I'm not trying to start an argument or make you a Ruiz fan, I simply don't hate the guy. Boxing is the one sport where winning is not everything. How you win, & even how you lose, is incredibly important. If you can't hate on a fighter for the reasons most hate on Ruiz, then what the hell can you hate on them for ? I don't hate on many fighters, the ones I do are because of character mostly. I didn't say he was entertaining, and he very well may hurt the sport with the casual fan. All I'm saying is that no matter how boring he is he's an effective fighter. He's forced down the public's throats, & people who may WANT to like boxing see him fight & think the sport is garbage. Holyfield & Lewis beat most of their opponents CLEANLY....& most unlike Ruiz, CONCLUSIVELY. John Ruiz has been in an endless series of disgusting bouts.....boxing at it's worst. It's not possible to be a real fight fan & like John Ruiz at the same time. He damages the sport, & those who force him on the fans are doing equal damge. Those "fans" who do like him are the kind of people who root for underdogs, & TRY not to think like the rest of the world thinks. They think Ruiz is "put upon". But, a turd is a turd. Ruiz is a turd of a fighter. Give him credit ? What the hell for ? I will never give him cedit for his wins because almost all of them are tainted.

Stylistically No, but his achievements cant be denied. He has one of the best resumes today in the heavyweight division and if that was any other persons resume he would be considered the number 1 heavyweight today. But its Ruiz.

Ruiz, I just love his style. He is unique. When he tried to fight like a boxer vs Golota, he got dropped immediately... Seriously, how can anyone like Ruiz (as a fighter)? Maybe if you're Puerto Rican, OK, but apart from that?

Ruiz bores me to death, the sad thing is, I believe he thinks he is a great, exciting fighter, which is obviously not the case. But his style works for him, and it seems nobody knows how to stop a 240lb mexican from hugging them for 12 rounds...

Ruiz seems to be a fairly nice guy, and he has some pretty good skills but I would rather have a root canal than watch one of his fights. He had one fight I enjoyed, thats it. And he lost that fight.

I am not a John Ruiz fan but I do think that he deserves credit where it is due. Credit for what? Being the most boring fighter on the planet? Being Don King's "Great Latino Hope"? Gimme a break!
