It depends upon how he looks against Bradley. JMM is the money fight unless Mayweather has a huge change of heart in jail and moves mountains to make it happen this year.
Mackie is a redonkulaus at getting guys in tremendous shape how come more fighters don't use him on a regular basis.. must be expensive:dunno:Last I heard he was spending his time working with Serena Williams. I haven't heard of him working with any boxers since Hopkins.
A man who always consoles his opponents after defeating them and who unlike Manny "Stipulation-Man" Pacquiao, is willing to prove that he isn't on performance enhancing drugs, and who always gives the fans their money's worth by consistently facing top level competition, when they are on top of their game, at their natural weight. When Floyd spectacularly dominated Juan Manuel Marquez, the second greatest boxer of this generation, while coming off a 19-month layoff, he got almost no credit for one of the greatest displays of boxing you will ever see.
I'm sorry, but I discredited everything that you wrote when you said that Floyd fights everyone at their natural weight, then in the next breath you mentioned the Marquez fight where Marquez had to come up nine pounds and Floyd only came down one when he was contracted to come down three.
I think the truth is that he started to get that respect after Hatton (who by the way was also not at his "natural weight"), but then he retired, and then he didn't do everything that he could to give the fans the only fight that they really wanted. True boxing fans appreciate his style and ability to dominate, but casual fans only remember your last fight and whether it was exciting or not. The casual fan is never going to love a fighter that could go for the KO and chooses not to take the risks associated with it.
Quickest way to end the debate? There is no change to the rankings at Welterweight or P4P in the May issue.

The real question is what is Cotto gonna do? Is he gonna fight or is he gonna walk away from the biggest payday he'll ever see? Will he fight hurt in order to get that MONEY, or wiil he let that boat sail away?
I could see the money being a factor, but this is the same guy that wouldn't fight Pacquiao at 150 lbs for a boat load of money. Do you think he would fight Mayweather compromised?
I have a feeling it is going to be real boring unless Mayweather opens up about his personal problems. This is the first Mayweather fight since 2007 that I really don't care about. I don't know whether it's the fact that he just fought in September or just the disappointment that is this fight, but I'm just not excited about it at all.
Does Oscar have that power? I don't even know, it's always Schaefer running things.

***8220;Last I checked, I was CEO,***8221; Schaefer said. ***8220;Unless Oscar wants to change that. ***8230; I***8217;ve been running Golden Boy since the beginning. If he wants to change that, since he***8217;s the majority shareholder, and decides he wants to fire me, I can***8217;t stop that.***8221;
None of the opponents he's fought since 2010 had been KO'd by anybody when he fought them. Only exception is Margarito & while he didn't get a stoppage, he probably should have been given one in that fight.
Clottey (never stopped)
Margarito (stopped by Mosley)
Mosley (wasn't stopped until 2013)
Marquez (never stopped)
Bradley (never stopped)
Rios (never stopped)
Bradley (never stopped)
This wouldn't have been easy for anyone to get more than 1 or 2 KO's really
Good news.
He looked alittle emaciated in the face in some pictures i saw though.

If you believe what Sr. is saying, then you must think that what Pacquiao is "coming off of" would only effect his endurance or something because physically he looks the same (if not stronger) than he has in the past

well. how come he doesnt catch said "cramps" while running 10 miles a day?
you
Someone asked Freddie Roach if he had cramps during training or just during the fight, and Freddie said both.

@FreddieRoach: both RT @Loopy316: @FreddieRoach has been manny having problems with cramps during training too or just during the fights?
I don't believe this. I don't see Floyd fighting somebody that Pac dominatedWho else does he have left to fight at 147? Ortiz vs. Berto winner with a quick turnaround maybe, but only if there is a clear, dominant winner. Assuming that Golden Boy doesn't want to sacrifice Canelo to him...there are no other good fights for him...maybe if Khan had beat Peterson he could have gone with him, but who else is left seriously?
He used to take his time in between fights to find opponents that he could sell to the public, but he has boxed himself in a corner this time by agreeing to a date with no opponent. I guess he can name a ****ty opponent and then claim he (or his opponent) got hurt in training and never reschedule the fight...
Floyd dont want no part of Cotto.Do you think that Cotto can outbox Floyd? Because Cotto is winning fights by boxing now and I guess that would have to be your opinion if you believe that he wins...
You have to BEAT the champion to beat the champion. In a close fight where the champion is also the fan favorite, he is probably getting the nod. You probably need to win 9 or 10 rounds or get a KO.
Haven't been paying much attention to recent news on here, but why can't Cotto-Mayweather come off, what happened there?I'm guessing that Cotto would want too much $$$
Dan Rafael @danrafaelespn
Just spoke to Richard Schaefer who confirmed that Berto is in the hospital and having an MRI on his arm. #boxing
He's not Berto's promoter though. Interesting that they are making sure to get the word out that it is legit.
This is too perfect for Golden Boy. Rematch Ortiz with Mayweather on 5/5 and save Canelo from taking a loss. Berto took step aside money I'm guessing, with a handshake that he would get a fight with the winner later this year.
