What does Floyd do if Cotto gets injured in camp?

Not sure about todays big money pay ins and outs but back a few years even in the closed circuit plus live show days there would be a stand by opponent for each fighter if injuries became an issue. If the injury had a short term rehab then the show gets delayed a long term postponment the replacement steps in and money for tickets might be reduced depending if a title was on the line or not. Going way back in time the Champ would fight a ten rounder against a contender and if he won and the contender did good he'd get a shot!!! Thats the way to do it!! Non Title bring it to the Champ and fight hard to get a shot at the title. Today these guys spar more rounds than they fight!!! Ray.

if its not a bad injury they would probably postpone the fight and his sentence further, if not maybe they would find someone to take cottos spot. if neither of that is possible floyd would just not fight and go to jail on the agreed date, after all he cant be held responsible for cotto pulling out of the fight. thats what would be most likely imo.

The real question is what is Cotto gonna do? Is he gonna fight or is he gonna walk away from the biggest payday he'll ever see? Will he fight hurt in order to get that MONEY, or wiil he let that boat sail away? I could see the money being a factor, but this is the same guy that wouldn't fight Pacquiao at 150 lbs for a boat load of money. Do you think he would fight Mayweather compromised?

I haven't seen anyone discuss this yet. Floyd supposedly has to fight on May 5th right - it was a condition for the delay of his prison sentence. Would Golden Boy move Canelo up to the main event to face him? Would they throw Ortiz in there for a rematch? What other legitimate options are out there? I'm sure it's not Pacquiao!

theres no possible way this fights gets pushed back--- not on cinco de mayweather. if anyone gets injured in camp, i think they will keep it on the DL and proceed with the set date.
