More bad news for the Bobfather
jesus youre an idiot lol, i feel bad for you.
so since pac and tim were very close p4p wise that means tim shoulda got 50-50 vs pac? thats not how things work buddy
#3 at the time(timmy) and #7(imo, pac) werent that close kid. quit ridin the knob
I think most of the posters in here didnt even cared to read the article
now look if you can see why?
Pac Bradley 1=$8,963,180 = 13,229 tickets
Pac BRadley 2= 7,865,100 = 14,099 tickets
That is an interesting graph, for anyone saying Bradley is not a draw Cotto, Mosley and Hatton all did similar gates to Bradley most people would consider all of them (yes even Mosley) bigger stars. I think this last one being a bit lower is fully explainable by the lackluster first fight, which sucks for Manny because the 2nd fight was better entertainment.
If you reversed the order of the two fights, I do think the second fight would have done quite a bit better.
Take also the $70 PPV Price tag and a not-so good undercard I think put alot of people off from buying.
Again, Mayweather puts up american heavyweight numbers. Dead american heavyweight division, where did all the ppv sales Holyfield and Tyson sold go? They went to Mayweather, he puts up heavyweight numbers not walterweight numbers. As far as Pacquiao, sounds to me like good numbers still. Top Rank just needs to do a better job is all, and they need to stack Pacquiao undercard to show customers a great event from start to finish so when people buy any Top Rank ppv they won't have to look at who's fighting they can trust it will be world class like a Mayweather event. You know they putting the best card they can without worrying about who fighting.

These numbers averaged out to $10 million, which is a really good number. However, this is only the Vegas numbers. The Pac/Margarito fight in Texas only generated a live gate of $6.5 million and I am sure the live gate for the Rios fight was lower than this. His numbers are better than any other boxer not named Mayweather, but they also demonstrate why he doesn't deserve 50 percent of the revenue in a Mayweather fight.
LMAO. Hanz getting owned hard in this thread. :lol1: :lol1:

you gotta be one of thee dumbest mu****as in here kid. pac DESERVED(at the time) 50/50 because him and fmj were the #1 & #2 p4p fighters in the world at the time. how often does anyone get to see a fight of that magnitude happen where #'s 1&2 p4p fight eachother? has it ever happened before?
fanboys, fuhkboys, promotional d1ckriding boys........need to get a life

It's funny cause I actually respect your opinion(now) and I know you'll still be here and a Floyd fan if he ever loses. For that, respect.
But canelo was huge in creating those numbers. Mexico and Mexicans every where love canelo. He also had a main event undercard that was highly anticipated on the card. If it was Floyd against any other Mexican umm say Guerrero with no undercard how would it do?
8mil is a solid number IMO with no undercard on a rematch which most consider a robbery. You get what I'm saying?
So why did Canelo vs Angulo not break 2mill ppv? Both have Mexican blood in their veins. by your theory should have done more.
Mayweather made neutrals buy the fight because it was deemed a risky fight.
I remember there used to be people on here arguing that Manny was a bigger draw at the gate than Floyd.......Floyd routinely with the same opponents draws bigger gates. The only exception being Marquez.
Floyd has the luxury of fans and haters who buy his fights.
For example, I buy Floyd fights because I want to see him lose one day. It looks like that will never happen at this point, but Ill probably get his remaining fights just because there might be a .0001% chance that he could lose. It will be one of those sporting events that people remember for years.

Hahahahahahahahahaha Floyd stacks his undercards with main event fights.....but dems Floyd's numbers doe..
stacked cards are great for boxing... i love watching stacked cards... especially as a boxing fan, we should all thank floyed for that right? pac getting KOed took some steam away from his name its okay hes still great, peace out!
how am i hating? this was the only post i made ITT lol, dont be naive the whole "pac deserves 50-50" was because pac fans thought he was on the same level for generating money when he clearly wasnt. pac fans laughed when floyd ghost sold like 700k or whatever.. oh but numbers dont matter lol

I think to most casual fans, there was no need to watch the fight. The first fight was a robbery and Bradley, outside of serious boxing fans, isn't a draw. With JMM, you have a huge Mexican following. Cotto and Mosley were fellow "big names" that people would get excited about.
I'd expect numbers to be similar to Clottey.
P4P list after the fight though:
1. Pacquiao
2. Mayweather
3. Golovkin
That's what matters.
Yes that Stevens and Adama win deserve p4p recognition :puke:
:lol1: He may scratch top 11 if he beats Chavez doe.
All you have to do is look at that graph to tell it is about inline with everything but his biggest fights which were JMM 3/4 and Oscar. Slightly less but nothing crucial which isn't bad at all when you consider the first fight was not exactly awesome.
Pretty much. People act like all of the sudden Pacquiao is not a draw anymore.
His number are still very good. Still the second biggest draw in boxing, and still doing numbers Canelo, Chavez Jr. and the future stars of boxing can only hope to reach.
Well there was a bad reaction to the first fight, the fallout was one of the worst ever. And then the subsequent loss to JMM obviously. but As stated above, the right man won this time and it was a good fight so hopefully consumer confidence returns to live Pac fights (not that this was all that bad, it's just relative). Of course ardent boxing fans like us will watch, his loyalists will watch, but I think amongst the general public and his skeptics...the 'special' feeling of seeing a Pac fight will return in one more fight
Numbers aren't that bad.
Lets not act like the arena was half empty!
8 Million for a fight most people saw Pac winning the first time is pretty goood if you as me.
