Hopkins barely moves from weight. Its not like Trinidad was in the same shape he was before. when guys barely throw punches that just proves they're out of shape or not ready to go up in weight so fast. Dont get too confident or your punches should be hard by now and then again dont get too confident. Paul Williams was known to be a major puncher, but they weren't as nervous as they were against Cotto. Some mexican hate Puertoricans so its easier to assume that they didn't mind cheating against Cintron. Capetillo told Margarito to explode cintrons liver. There was lots of hate in that fight. Not all mexicans are haters and not all puertoricans are haters, but when it comes to boxing fans about 60% do hate on the other fighters nationality. Cotto didn't put on the best game plan, but I believe he would have won anyways. Remember Cotto was mostly punching Margarito while moving back. He couldn't generate the same amount of power. And he was running not to get hurt so that got him tired, plus that affects your offense.
I really believe Margarito can be knocked out by a shots to the stomach or ribs. the think is that just because Margarito had his face always wide open Cotto went to the face instead of the body. Haven't you ever heard that the best defense is a good offense? Well sometimes thats true. Especially for a fighter that has power on his punches. So Margarito having loaded gloves prevented Cotto from putting on a better offense. He would be more willing to go foward if he wasn't afraid of the powerful shots from his adversary. Getting loaded punches to the body weakens a fighter alot. Tony started out the fight with weak looking shots to the body, to cover up the plaster as the fight went on he used more of the plaster. Other fighters have survive 12rounds against an opponent using plaster, but had been really hurt.

I'm not sure about that being the key. I say the key is Cotto being able to be quick on his feet to catch up to Pacquiao. He can make defensive adjustments as the fight goes along, but he ain't getting close to Pacquiao with hand speed. He needs to be able to take longer quick steps to get to Pacquiao.
