How does Marquez beat Floyd?

Floyd have had a couple of years layoff.. He's gonna be a bit rusty, that's why he wins by wide, safe UD and not by KO

At this point JMM is 2 old and is a naturally smaller fighter the odds are stacked very high against him.

it's not so much about winning and losing with Floyd, we all know what he can do, with him it's about him actually taking out the time and fighting the absolute best of a division he is in and not just the least risks with the most reward and Marquez is no slouch. how does Marquez win? I don't think he will, he's tough and durable but Pacquiao caught and dropped Marquez with a shot he didn't see clean on his jaw, Mayweather will throw and land MUCH MUCH more of those than Pacquiao as he is more composed as a fighter, his skillset is a great one for sure and I don't think Marquez can handle that. he can look so good against Pacquiao because Pacquiao wont put skills over heart at times, with Floyd that shit wont happen, it's ALWAYS skills. the biggest argument I can make for anyone beating Floyd is Miguel Cotto and Shane Mosley, I can break it all down for days if anyone asks why and how so I'll wait until someone asks but I have good reason to believe that those 2 men will defeat Mayweather, everyone else fails including Pacquiao. if you'd have asked me that just yesterday I would have said Pacquiao will kick Floyd's ass man, even in a few threads recently on here but I realize there are too many flaws in his game, I don't think he can do nothing but come up short and get outsmarted everytime he he makes a real attempt in making his impact on the fight.. Floyd is smart, he waited around for lighter guys to claim stature to come back all while avoiding the true tests whom were always there knowing people would give him a pass on Cotto and Mosley since tabloids and media make Pacquiao to be the absolute best and people ate that shit up, now with half the risk he can earn twice the reward by trading Mosley for Marquez and Pacquiao for Cotto, and by the casual fans eating up whatever Rafeal writes and not really knowing they shit they give Floyd the ultimate pass without even knowing it. he's a truly smart fighter man

Marquez is going to have to take a page out the Punisher/Joe C,book,and throw punches,then throw some more,then throw some more,seriously!!Floyd's defensive skills almost always make opponents just stop throwing!!!Marquez is going to have to bang him in the back,all night maybe make him sore,cause floyd likes to tuck his chin behind that shoulder,so just bang that back and make him change up!!

With a pitch fork. Seriously, he can't. First of all, Floyd is a welterweight and JMM is a lightweight. Too big, too fast, too smart. Floyd will adapt quickly to JMM. He will frustrate JMM to the point where people will be booing and then explode or potshot when the time is right. Floyd can adapt to any fighter, Corrales, Castillo, DLH, Judah. Watch the Hatton fight and see how well he adjusted to him. At one point, he even fought like Ricky, holding, mauling, elbows flying, pushing and Ricky just got confused. He's never fought himself before. And boom he explodes first in the 4th and then in the 8th and KOs him in the 10th and all of it was part of him gameplan. He did the same to DLH. I'm sure he'll come up with a excellent gameplan for JMM. If JMM couldn't beat Manny, (officially - before some JMM fans crucify me), I don't see how he could beat Floyd. Floyd will probably knock JMM down twice in the fight and win by UD or if JMM gets old that night, it will be good night. have you not seen JMM fight? he works the same way and is a very intelligent fighter...he adapts to every fighter and PBF's chin hasn't really been tested because he runs 99% of the time in all his fights LOL

i agree. Floyd isnt like Manny in that he's going to stalk JMM or even put that much pressure on him. i like JMM chances, just because he's brilliant. period. Floyd is great, but c'mon. how many real boxing fans want to see him win this???? Its really comes down to Defensive vs. Counter Punching style. I suppose a defensive style will give any style trouble. However, it does not help that Juan is one of the more elite technical fighters out their. :boxing:

JMM will have to follow him all night so he needs to punish floyds body. JMM, isn't a stalker or a pressure fighter. He is a tactical counter puncher. I doubt he will follow him all night, since he tends to bait his opponents into pressing forward.

Ever since Marquez called out Floyd after the Diaz fight ive been hoping this fight does not get done. These are two of my favorite fighters so having them go head to head is not as appealing as it is to others. I see Floyd winning by a wide dominating UD or late stoppage...i think Juan has to much pride and heart to be KO'd. I think both fighters have similar strengths (footwork, tactical, smarts, defense) but Floyd is superior in almost everything. To top it off, although Floyd is not a much bigger guy, he is the more natural bigger fighter. Floyd is quicker on his feet, has faster handspeed, has a bigger punch, and a better chin than JMM...so how does JMM win this fight? Im really hoping this does'nt turn out to be Floyd vs Gatti all over again. Really Marquez had a chance to beat floyd if he was at a lighter weight and was younger. He has a better chin then Floyd. floyd just hasn't been hit enough, because he ties up oppenents and moves a lot. Marquez has better power, but he will have stamina problems if he fights Floyd. He had a bad showing against Juan Diaz untill he caught him with a punch Diaz started slowing down.

he is going to have to try and recreate the magic that castillo had in their first fight...thats the blue print to give floyd problems.

just like Rocky vs Tarver. He needs to punch Mayweather with pure power to slow him down, because he will barely touch him at any weight above 140.

as much as i like Marquez there isnt a realistic scenerio in my head where he ends up winning.
