Check out the defense and Floyd's third weapon the mighty elbow. If the punch doesn't get you the elbow will. Checkout his eyes how he targets Hatton's face with his elbow.
I know many of you dont like to see this, but this is also part of Floyd Mayweathers repertoire. Great way to avoid a counter punch though. For some reason the ref got Hattons attention, but not Floyds.
From the pics Ricky Hatton not only cannot counter punch Mayweather, but he can't move back and avoid the hit. He barely can't move once Floyd holds his arm.

Thats genious...he does it so quick.
and they all get a loyal band of pussys to cry about.it...lol
Not quick enough its quite visible when he does it. Fans here have seen it. You cry about it every time someone says something about Floyd. Thats just a tactic people use to defend their idol. When they find something against him all the excuses come out. Just face the fact he cheats to not get beat.
Cortez wasn't going to bam floyd from using his elbows, he was biased in the fight.
Mayweather always uses hes elbows like that not just in the Hatton fight, refs don't pick up on it because hes not throwing the elbows with force trying to hurt hes opponent more like using hes forearm to push hes opponent off of him so he can get hes punches off on the inside.

hatton: "this isnt a tickling contest is it."
Yep, Floyd Mayweather last PPV was at Wrestlemania in a wrestling match. Funny how his last Paperview was at a wrestling event and not boxing. Wrestlers like to put on a good show and Floyds great at that.
He helped them sell the PPV. But he refused to fight De La Hoya again which would have made him alot more richer.

He's done some holding in other fights so its not like he did it for this fighter in particular.
The elbows too. So is this Mayweather plan to beat the big boxers in boxing. Is this his stradegy. Floyd can't run forever so I guess he now will be holding hands.
Noone gets dirtier then Hatton on the inside. Maybe Joe Cortez should have stoped the action right when Hatton was hurt so that he could tie his shoe. Maybe that would have been fair refing.
That's the funny part all these people discrediting mayweather for being a dirty fighter are mainly Ricky "hugman" hatton fans and we all know he is one of the dirtiest fighters.

Could of soften him up. Still he holds alot and people dont mention that. Mayweather is not to be compared with other legends when he fights this way.
ricky Hatton couldn't counter punch him fighting this way. Floys Mayweather just fears he might get K.O. thats why he holds.
Doubt it, the way mayweather uses hes elbows is more like pushing hes opponent away to get off some shots, hes not throwing them with much intent or power to do any damage, just nudging hes opponent so he can get off some shots.
Yeah he uses hes elbows, but it wasnt the elbows that knocked Hatton out .
