What glutamine is, is an amino acid your DNA encodes amino acids. AMino Acids are also the building blocks of protein. ALl protein is, is a bunch of amino acids, a protein shake is just convienient and absorbs quickly into the body to recover from a workout, gain muscle, retain muscle, and get stronger.

you best be careful what kinda advice you give to a teen....

I dont advise creatine for teens at all! so who cares if you know many teens taking it their has yet to be a long term study on it...

if i were the kid id just stick with, whey protien, multivitamins, EFAs and a good nutrition from real foods.

but his body may still be growing so i already told him he might not get the gains he is looking for because he is only 16 alot of 16 year olds are lanky because there body hasnt filled out yet because its still growing in height.

I am 17 years old. I weigh 127 and am 5'5" , visit the gym 4 times a week for 3 hours, heavy lift twice a week.

my gym work out consists of hitting the heavy bag two rounds, hitting the hand mitts with a trainer 3 rounds, 100 sit ups, 100 push ups, running a mile, sprinting about one eighth of a mile, jumping rope two rounds and the conditioning excercises everyone does at our gym which take approximately 8 rounds. all this, I do with a 20 lb. weight vest, 1 lb. had weights with 16 oz training gloves over, 2 and 1/2 lb. neck weight, and sometimes 5 lb. ankle weights.

but as far as the subject on hand, I take NO X-plode pre-workout, cell mass post workout and syntha-6 morning and night.. is that healthy in your opinion, that is taking these supplements?

In my younger days, where I was more of a weight lifter, I used the Weider products, buying whatever I could afford that was advertised in Muscle And Fitness magazine. Then, for a time I was using Met-RX and someone turned me onto Creatine for a time.
My goals have changed completely from those early days as I am more fitness oriented and functional strength oriented as opposed to trying to increase my bench press up or curl more. Now I don't do any supplements, I just work off what I eat, which is fine for my purposes. On days that I work out heavier I try to get some more protein and also I find V-8 to be a good energy drink.

well your doing alot of cardio and aerobic workouts you dont need to do 100 push ups a day.. lol

you should do sit ups only 3 days a week if your trying to build muscle.

im nots ure of your goals but if your just interested in boxing then your doing the right thing...

if you wanna put on size your gonna have to lower your cardio you have a fast metabolism those supplements you listed are teh ones i take and they will ONLY work if you have a balanced diet and are getting in a good 4-5 small meals a day.

most of those supplements don't work anyway.
they just speed up results, and you will still get that same results even without supplements but for a longer period of time
