they just speed up results, and you will still get that same results even without supplements but for a longer period of time

Just taking some vitamin pills doesn't work? It just adds some to you're blood is doesn't build muscle or anything like that.

Gakic & Leukic - just to see what all the hype was about, On Whey(10 pounds is cheap), Size On Creatine, Fish oil, Flax seed oil, multi-vitamins. For my next cycle I'll probably go on a BSN stack. Gained 10lbs of muscle on my current stack in a little over a month.

I was referring to protein/whey supplements. Most of them don't work. What they give you is the "placebo" effect or the belief that it will help you physically in some way. Most of the guys who take supplements improve their performance because they train harder when taking supplements, so much of the improvement in athletic performance is due to the inputted hard work and not really on the protein drink.

Their belief in the efficacy of the supplement is the thing that drives them to push harder in training, and it's the hard work and not the supplement that helps them improve their performance.

Next time, try to look at the people who are doing the research for the supplements. Chances are, they are also the manufacturers of these products. It's big business and they're fooling a lot of people.

Multi Vitimins and minerals do work what u on about. U can actually get the ur levels traken before and after a cousre and the results can be shown by a simple test. A good diet dont cut in these days u need to suppliment to get optimun levels. Foods only as good as the soil its grown in. But suppliments dont make up fotr a bad diet like southpaw said they are supplimentry to a good diet.

Proteins especially whey does increase test, so that wud help u train with a but more aggression, however in most cases protein is over used.

                  Just my personal observation...

In our gym, most trainees overload themselves with whey protein. What they don't realize is that any excess is either turned into fat or flushed out of the body. That's a waste of money, and some of these supplements don't even work.

Dude there is nothing "placebo" about protein.

You know how what protein is for right? Right? You know how muscle brakes down and rebuilds right? Right.

                      So how is protein placebo?

Is protein in chicken and beef "fake" too? And not needed? And in milk and eggs?

                      I dont see your point.

Besides "protein" doesnt improve your perfomance. Unless its a powder thats a carb mix too. Then yes it does help your performance as carbs are sources of energy.

I believe only in eating well, and eating a lot of good balanced food. However I dont see nothing wrong with someone taking protein shakes as an insurance. Meaning having a shake to make sure that you got your daily protein dose.

When people rely on all this supplement **** alone and not real food then I see a problem.

However i have been steadily gaining muscle for nearly a year now and protein poweder definetly helped me in the process.

90% of people do not know what the **** they are doing and sure, suppliments become more of a hazzard then anything else.

But if you know your body, understand what you are taking and how it works it can be of great benifit.

And most people think that if they go to ahealth food store buy boxes of supplimentation take it they will grow. And it just doesnt work that way.
