Yesterday was an off day from the gym..but i played a lot of basketball and ran some...today i hit the gym and went heavy on my arms and shoulders..curled 65 pound dumbbells and shoulder pressed 70 pound dumbbells pyramiding up from 45 pound ones...Killed the triceps with close grip bend presses and pull downs...arms are shaking right now...ended with some good ab work
Ah ok. But your BMR is your basic metabolic rate which is the calories you need for your body to function when you do absolutely nothing, right?
For instance, my BMR is 1776 kcal according to Harris-Benedict formula. However, because I work out 3-5 times per week, my calorie need to sustain my weight is much higher. Around 2500-2700 calories i believe.
I was wondering why you would go even below your BMR? Especially because you also still exercise. Unless I misunderstand what BMR is that would give you a huge caloriedeficit. I would be affraid of losing muscle if I were to do that. Not to suggest you're doing it wrong or anything like that, but I am curious.
Today was crazy.....did chest and back..BUT on my decline bench press somehow i have jumped all the way to 295....but on my flat bench i am at 265..and incline 205...why and how did my decline jump up so high and why is it higher then my flat bench?
Normally decline bench is your strongest bench press. I know plenty of guys that are ridiculously strong on decline and only moderately strong on flat. One guy hits 500 on decline but can't get 400 on flat.
I don't know anyone who flat benches more than they decline bench.
