ru ****ed in the head???? floyd only employed the clinch tactic in one fight and that was against hatton, he did that to effectively turn the tables on hatton and win the fight, in all his other fights floyd has shown his phenomenal footwork and reflexes, you obviously dont watch boxing, and have never boxed

thats a laugh because if you actually watched floyd befored the hatton fight i would be suprised, maybe DLH, the clinch has always been something he's used because he fights on the outside alot and when he's rushed he clinches, its not a shameful thing, its a part of boxing and using a clinch doesnt mean he doesnt have great footwork and reflexes, as i said in my original post, he's a phoenomenal boxer. As for me ive been watching boxing almost obsessively ever since RJJ fought ruiz and a good bit before that, and i do box, have been myself for 6 months now and am close to some am fights, but great try little aussie boxer :-)Originally posted by aussieboxer2320 View PostComment

I doubt that would happen, maybe once outta 100 times and it wont perfectly connect either. If sherk shot in for a takedown and floyd tried to throw a punch it would most likely hit the top of Sherks head or forehead because Sherk shoots down for the legs and takes his opponent down. You don't know the reason for the apology, you are just guessing. In any case the publicized offer was for 2 mil, apporoximate 10% of what Mayweather can expect to make in the ring. Why should he get in the cage for less?Comment

dftwx, when you said mayweather gets rushed he clinches thats not true and he only did that against hatton, when he gets rushed he goes into the philly shell position, rolls off their punches and dances his way outta there, fine you may have watched some boxing/box, i only sed that to drive a point home lol, ive seen alot of floyds fights, especially at lw, lww and ww and in most of these fights he is fighting men who are naturally bigger and stronger (remeber floyd has had most of his fights at super featherweight) so why would he constantly clinch in all these fights?? he would get pushed away and roughed up, i say again he may have clinched before in his fights before hatton (everyone has 2 clinch at some point in a 12 round fight unless they are incredibly fit) but aginst a trained ufc grappler or watever they call themselves do you think he would be dumb enough to clinch? no, he would dance, dance, dance, stick and move, dance away, and all you would see is floyd grinning and floating around the octagon, while some glorified streetfighter lumbers after him.Comment

2 the other guy, do you really think someone could run in for a takedown, and defend against a lightning fast punch at the same time? i dont think so, and another thing, ive been watching a little ufc on youtube, and their conditioning is ****ing terrible, that chuck liddell guy has a ****ing beergut for crying out loud, no elite boxer would be in shape like that, i doubt he could even keep up with a slow footed boxer like carlos baldomir!!Comment
