But look at it like this: before Barrera fought Juarez the first time he was talking about fighting 7 more fights. When it came to the rematch, he's saying he wants out after next year. And he stands there and taps his chin and runs like hell after daring Juarez to hit him when he knew he couldn't take that kind of a fight.

It was a bait and switch. The only solace is that Pacquiao is too fast to let that **** fly.
He's not gonna let that **** fly, PAc is too fast with handspeed power and relentless pressure, and that southpaw.

Barrera put up an excellent performance IMO using one of the fundamentals of boxing... Hit and not be hit! A true boxing fan would view this fight as an effective technical performance from Barrera, and let's face it, the last thing that Barrera needed before a return with Pacquiao is another war. The same people who have ridiculously criticised Barrera for this performance were probably licking his balls when he fought in a similar fashion to defeat Naseem Hamed!

Barrera will employ this tactic against Pacquiao. However, Pacman has a lunging straight left that might catch Barrera. But if Barrera can capitolize on that by countering....it could be quite difficult for Pac.

Still...I think Barrera's memory of his devastating loss to Pac will make him want to close the gap and brawl. He'll get KO'd again unless he catches Pac first. Not sure if MAB has the power to KO anyone at this weight, though.

No need to lose respect for barrera, whatsover. He fought a very smart fight, and he showed he still had it.He was looking like he was done in the last fight, making a pac-rematch seem pointless, but now Id be excited to see it.

The only thing I thought was a little shady, pretty shady actually ,was the no Reyes gloves thing, while "skinning" his own gloves.

Why would I lose respect for Barrera, after he easily schooled Juarez? Pointless thread.

I think his point was many of MAB's fans had their expectations squashed when MAB chose to jab on his bicycle.

But at his age, MAB can't be in anymore wars so I think tactically, he did the right thing. Morally, I think he lost the faith of many of his fans that were there to see the fight live.

i'm upset. mab fought a smart fight, but it seemed he was contented to win on points. as the fight progressed, i thought mab had done enough teaching and will mix brawling w/ boxing to highlight his win, he's one of the best doing this, but i guess he really was contented to win on points alone.

i guess having given rocky the immediate rematch to prove his first win was no fluke had almost everybody expecting a real fight, to put an exclamation to his first win.
