Come on gentleman, what quality off opposition did he really fight if u think about it. Think... and I respect all ur opinions no or yes. Whoa El to say he was better then tyson ever was is rediclious, If u honestly believe LL would have stood and chance with a prime tyson, i give up and cannot have a reasonable conversation with u man, ur completey delusional
I dont think lewis was a top 5 all time great,,,,I think he should be somewhere between 7 and 10 on the all time list but I disagree with you on a prime tyson beating lewis. I think lewis is just too big and too skilled for him. tyson always struggled with bigger heavyweights but never fought and beat anyone near lewis's power and ability level. tyson obviosuly would have had a punchers chance and may have lasted the distance but I think lewis beats any version of him

Marciano???? Marciano beat Moore, Charles, Walcott, and Louis who were the best of that era. I respect your opinion, but my opinion is that Foreman would have beat Lewis into the next week. Liston, perhaps, I was reluctant to put him on that list also.

i dont see how people credit rocky's win over louis and them same people dismiss LL's win over Tyson

walcott was outboxing Rock until he pulled out the win

Marciano is famous for his record not opposition

I guess you forgot in the mccall rematch, lewis made mccall quit and he cry like a baby. In the rahman rematch, lewis was easily beating rahman, rahman didn't even land his right hand and lewis stop rahman in the 4th. Lewis was the best champion in his era, he beat alot of very very good fighters. I'm sick of ppl making an excuse that lewis beat an old holyfield. Didn't holyfield hold the wba and ibf title before fighting lewis?. You should ask back then a prime bowe of why he threw the wbc heavyweight title to the garbage of not fighting lewis. Lewis did beat a prime briggs, a prime bruno and a prime tommy.

The man was undefeated. Meaning that he never slipped or fell into trouble that he couldn't get out of. That is what makes him a great champ. Any fighter that goes undefeated for an entire career (and face good competition) deserves to be among the elite. No way you're going to get people to believe that Rocky wasn't among the top handful of heavy's.

i think ur overrating him slightly simply because he was undefeated.

what made him great was how he was able to win in any situation, among other things.

You're right, I guess I did just assume that by what you said. I apologize for that. Where would you rate Lewis compared to other Heavy's? I would have him in my top 15, maybe 12. By no means am I saying he wasn't a great fighter. Actually I was a Lewis fan when he was fighting.

Lewis was a great fighter, he has beaten alot of very good fighters. He beat holyfield when holyfield was the man at the heavyweights i guess ppl forgot about that. Tyson is the sameage as lewis when they fought.
