I think he was at his peak there abouts 'I don't think he has improved since then, his competition has just gotten worse'.

I technically do not think he has improved, he has not been forced to etc

Many journalist where picking against Mayweather.

Note: I chose number 3, he was close to his peak.

Nailed it , he hasnt fought another Floyd and he just got physically stronger now thats why he went up in weight his boxing is pretty much the same his power has risen along with the weight.
If Floyd was 160 for real he schools Canelo at any weight.

The correct answer, and the only thing that needs to be said really.

Well, weight aside, the current version of Canelo would beat Canelo that fought Mayweather. Current Canelo fights a lot smarter, picks his punches better, is a lot better at walking down his opponent and paces himself better.

He wasnt completely green, but he was still too inexperienced against someone like Mayweather. Canelo tried to box at midrange in the center of the ring with him which is already silly to begin with.

You cant be in your prime (physical + Ring IQ) if your best wins are against Trout and old mosley.

You just don’t fabricate claims on camera and not expect industry or TMT to not instigate or refute it. Don’t work that way.
What does work is that Saul offered 150, initially to fight FMJ, in an interview prior to whatever showtime episode youre talking about. Stop it already. Dont be mad cause Floyd accepted, then expected 152 from Saul AFTER Saul first brought it up.

WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs) is willing to drop a few pounds to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs). Mayweather is the World Boxing Council's champion at 147-pounds. Alvarez has no problem facing Mayweather at a catch-weight of 150-pounds.

He wasn't GREEN in the sense of being a complete novice BUT his biggest criticism prior to fighting Austin Trout was he hadn't fought anyone but "No Country for Old Men" dudes. He beats Trout then is thrusted right into a Floyd fight (which mind you was at a catchweight). They rolled the dice with Canelo and in the end losing to Floyd didn't really "derail" Canelo's career. That being said, Canelo HAS progressed since fighting Floyd.

Lol. When Canelo beat Cintron in 2011 he called out Floyd for 150. There was no Floyd negotiations in 2011 or when Canelo was 21. The fight took place 2 years later when Canelo was 23. 2 years? Lol

So you think Jermall Charlo can make 154? Charlo was record saying, when Canelo went Franchise, he literally said “I’ll go to 154 and me and my bro will clean it out.” I don’t know if Charlo was trolling, but he said it, and two years in boxing when your man’s body and strength rises you can compare 2011 to 2013. Like I said, doesn’t work that!

Canelo came in to box the master boxer. Slow legs and no pressure simply was not going to beat Floyd that night or any night.

Canelo team did the offer, Floyd accepted and the Canelo team signed the fight. If it affected Canelo it was their fault.

I rather the fight would had been done at the full 154 to avoid all the excuses.

This aint about Charlo, this is about you being corrected and you trying to put your failed excuse on someone who this convo has nothing to do with. Facts were proven, your opinion was debunked.

                      and then theres this...

"It's not going to affect me at all. You know, the last couple of fights, I made weight not a problem, so it's not going to affect me at all. I'll be fine," stated undefeated jr. middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, who spoke to the media at the New York press conference to promote his upcoming September 14 clash with undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather
