Completely true, but not really what I meant. I just had Crawford as Canelo's main competition for P4P, but body frame's are far to different for them to ever meet in the ring

So...Canelo tried to fight Golovkin. Then tried to fight Billy Joe Saunders. Then tried to fight Caleb Plant.
When they all couldn't happen he chose the Ring champion at 168 lbs.
Yet that's STILL not good enough for some of you.

About 30 lbs or so, lol. I get your point though, Indongo and Smith were both champs that were ridiculously tall and slim for their weights.
I just see Canelo as having fought a higher overall level of opposition for a much longer time.

Do not lie. Even Oscar tried to make Canelo fight Golovkin, and Canelo refused.
Canelo says he considers his business with GGG settled and he’s not motivated to fight him a third time. A reporter told Canelo that Oscar De La Hoya said he would fight GGG a third time. Canelo said Oscar says “many things that don’t make any sense”

Do not twist history. Golovkin wanted the trilogy, Canelo did not.

I would still heavily and easily favor Canelo to win. I just believe that at Middleweight; Erroll could more than give Alvarez a run for his money.
If not Spence, then there are names Mall Charlo, David Benavidez and Caleb Plant. Also, not to mention Billy Joe Saunders.

Incredible how this much taller and unbeaten "champ" looked dull vs canelo. He wasn't able to keep him at distance and soon turned into a pynching bag.

But at the end of the day Canelo STILL fought a more challenging opponent anyway.

Brilliant fight by Canelo, Smith tried to keep the distance but Canelo was having none of it, he really is a phenomenal talent and has grown leaps and bounds since losing to Mayweather. Great contest i am excited to see who's next at 168.

I've seen other tall fighters with the same liability--Gerry Cooney, for example--and I've never understood the thinking behind neglecting this punch.
