Canelo is a tank - a smart tank.
This unit is going to be extremely hard to beat.
He's defensively excellent and takes huge shots without flinching.
I think it will now take someone with serious power. The only one that springs to mind is Berbetiev.

Just go to the threads on here when Canelo made the fight with Fielding. Literally hundreds of posts saying he’ll never fight Callum Smith, too big and too active. Too risky.

That’s the stage Canelo is at, he’s taking on everyone the haters say he’ll avoid and crushing them. And then after he does the excuses come from the haters.

That’s what greatness is today. Canelo is a buzz saw right now going through any name fighter or champion from 154 to 168. And he’s starting out selective at 175 like any fighter would moving up to his 5th weight class, but he’ll eventually take on all comers there too. Including Beterbiev who is another hype job one dimensional fighter. And then after he beats him people will make excuses and say he’s ducking some other relative unknown.

That’s the price of greatness in today’s world of social media. When it’s all said and done, Canelo will have an all time great resume. Maybe a top 10 all time fighter.

canelo was canelo tonight, nothing changes

but the only thing i learned was callum smith is no where near elite
despite being much bigger, he never controlled the center of the ring, gunshy
his jab got nothing on it, below avg counter punching, and just plain ass slow
he fights at same pace from the opening round til the end

waiting to see canelo fight a top guy in their prime

I said Smith was tailor made, that was an easy pick.

Not exactly, Canelo's brain trust steered clear of Andrade at 160 and they'll skip over him at 168lbs.

No doubt Canelo won & did it clearly. Somehow with out doing anything special he neutralized Callum's ability to throw a lot punches(which is what he was known for) and despite the fact that from the first few rounds Callum already looked defeated, he lasted until the final bell even tho he it was obvious he never tried and just wanted to survive.
¿Caleb Plant next? I don't think Canelo wants that smoke.

Cheatelo earing that Mexican meat again. Moves up to 175 from 154 and has more power?

This. He was already caught and would have lost to GGG twice if he was not juicing or eating Mexican meat

This didn't come as a surprise did it? Did anyone expect anything different?
