Sugar Ray Leonard ducked and would have lost to a prime Marvin Hagler.

Ali ducked a fourth fight with Norton.

It was ordered by the WBC and he ignored it.

Sugar Ray Leonard retired to avoid a rematch with Marvin Hagler.

Roy Jones avoided Michael Nunn and Darius Michalczewski.

Where did you hear this story?

Or did you just make it up?

        First I’ve ever heard it.

I’m more of the type that believes in facts instead of rumors and far fetched conspiracy theories.

Why? Foreman went off his rocker and went away for 15 years.

A lot of people felt Roy was ducking the Euro competition like Benn and Michalczewski, but they weren't willing to come to the U.S. to fight him and he wasn't willing to go across the pond to fight them. He was a champion and was under no obligation to chase them.

Its not really a duck avoiding a guy outside of your weight class, fighters are not wind up toys.

Top level guys will fight anyone, the so called ducks are generally business decisions or management thinks their guy will lose.

Fighters are tradesmen the best are specialists, their life is given to learning the trade, they dont fear a fight they understand a fight and what you fully understand you dont fear you respect, fear is conjured in the fan more than the fighter.

Just asking -- why there was no rematch between Ali and Foreman ? Didn't Ali duck him somehow ?

Respect your insight. I'll rephrase and say that SRL waited until he saw enough of a decline in the Marvelous one's abilities that he felt he could overcome the natural size difference. Not a duck but a smart tactical decision.

At the time Ali and his people wanted Tate. Tate got murdered By Weaver. Ali and his people didn't want Weaver because he punched to hard, So they fought Larry Holmes instead. And the rest as they say Is history.
