I'm not saying that he did, it's just what some people claim.

Nah they pretty much fought everyone. Roy and Dariusz Michalczeeski should have fought but they’re both at fault for that not happening, I wouldn’t say one ducked the other.

Ray and Pryor should have fought too and it was all but agreed but didn’t happen for legitimate reasons.

The only guy Ali plausibly could’ve fought but didn’t was Cuban amateur superstar Teofilo Stevenson but Stevenson repeatedly rejected offers to fight professionally.

Leonard openly brags about waiting for Hagler to slow down before fighting him.

RJJ never shared the ring with Collins, Eubank, or Benn. Don’t really know if he ducked them. Ali and SRL fought everybody

I can`t blame him. Ray was the guy moving up in divisions, hagler was a middleweight fighting in his only division the whole career.

SRL was a diva, like Canelo is & Ryan Garcia is. For every fighter the fans say ain't ducking anybody there seems to always be fans will who will say he is/has & vice versa. I don't think there's anybody who's been labeled a diva that realistically hasn't ducked someone. But I also think the word "ducking" is once of the most incorrectly used words if not the most, in boxing.

"I'll fight Tommy Hearns when he's as popular as Roberto Duran" these words he'd be crucified for in this era.
He still fought Hearns in his prime though. That fight “marinated” for like 9 months. Mayweather-Pacquiao marinated for like 7 years. You can’t really compare the two of you actually contextualise them.

Don't get me wrong. Sugar Ray Leonard was inactive for 5 years, moving up and had a detached retina when he fought Hagler. He did admit to waiting for him to slow down though.

For the exception of Gerald McClellan; Those fights would have happened had they been on American soil.

Roy had a reluctance of fighting opponents on foreign soil because of the robbery he sustained at the 1988 Summer Game Olympics in Seoul Korea.

Also, Roy was the top dog in the division at the time. So he felt that the Euro fighters should have crossed the pond to America to come and fight him if they really wanted to fight.

I don't think so. Roy may have missed a legitimate challenger or two, but nothing I would classify as ducking.

i mean Ray pulled a whole WWE promo just to retire instead of fighting hagler at the time. but he did comeback for the right moment. Thing with floyd was get got bitter at the way dudes were avoiding him and gave them the same energy when he got to the top. which is like a scorned gf and something alot of guys do to this day.
