That sounds like made up ****. Plus we know that SRL was broke so he didn't have the kind of bread to throw around for a PI.

So despite making 5x the money for 5x the prestige in a fight 5x as difficult, by fighting Holmes, it was a duck by Ali for not fighting Weaver? A fighter with 12 losses (Holmes was undefeated) ? A fighter Holmes had easily beaten a year before? Really ******, borderline ******ed.

You aren't arguing with me, you are arguing with facts noob.

It wasn't a smart move to fight either. Ali should have been retired at that point. They didn't want him fighting a puncher at that stage though.

Quit trying to pass off your OPINION as fact and I’ve been a serious boxing fan since before you were born so skip that noob shyte in your rectum.

Ali duck Mike falking Weaver to fight Larry Holmes? That’s among the dumbest things I’ve ever read on NSB and that’s saying a helluva lot. Are you posting for shock value or are you so dumb that you actually believe that?

Yeah, given Ali's track record, I don't think that's a duck. Sounds like he wanted highest reward type of fight.

you are just proving more and more that YDKSAB.
Ali was brain dead at the time. Weaver would have knocked Ali out cold.

Ray and Pryor should have fought too and it was all but agreed but didn’t happen for legitimate reasons.

The only guy Ali plausibly could’ve fought but didn’t was Cuban amateur superstar Teofilo Stevenson but Stevenson repeatedly rejected offers to fight professionally.
Apparently Pryor admitted years later that he turned down an offer of 750K for the fight. That was way more money then than it is now.
