So despite making 5x the money for 5x the prestige in a fight 5x as difficult, by fighting Holmes, it was a duck by Ali for not fighting Weaver? A fighter with 12 losses (Holmes was undefeated) ? A fighter Holmes had easily beaten a year before? Really ******, borderline ******ed.

Nah they pretty much fought everyone. Roy and Dariusz Michalczeeski should have fought but they’re both at fault for that not happening, I wouldn’t say one ducked the other.

Ray and Pryor should have fought too and it was all but agreed but didn’t happen for legitimate reasons.

The only guy Ali plausibly could’ve fought but didn’t was Cuban amateur superstar Teofilo Stevenson but Stevenson repeatedly rejected offers to fight professionally.

Apparently Pryor admitted years later that he turned down an offer of 750K for the fight. That was way more money then than it is now.
