This is a damn good fight. Smith is the NO. 1 supper middleweight. No cake walk for canelo but he'll win on points.
Smith has been training for months.
I see the biggest problem being Smith is only going over to US a week before the fight. He should be over there now.

Canelo is just really hard to beat

Never been a fanboy of Canelo, but the truth is that he's slick enough that clean hits against him are extremely rare. Watch the Jacobs fight and you'll see maybe one good connection on Canelo. Even then, the guy can take a punch as well as anybody in the game. Some men just about can't be knocked out (think Chuvalo), and Canelo appears to be one of them. But even when he loses, like in GGG-1, the judges hand it to him. If Smith expects a victory, he better bring a game better than anything he's ever done, plus maybe a .30-06.

No. He is going to walk through another weak belt holder

WHAT?? This is the biggest cherry pick ever and a farce. Smith can box but he cannot punch. Canelo will walk right through this guy. Ko by the 6th. In fact, if Canelo jumps on him it could be a first round KO.

              Canelo folds him, most likely.

Kovalev had a bigger size advantage and is a better all around fighter than Smith.
Canelo will take a round or two to figure him out then will be teeing off.
Canelo by late round stoppage after he targets the body.

Smith is taller and longer than Kovalev. The problem is he doesn't use hes reach too well.Hes got better stamina than old Kov had ,and Sergey was winning quite well before the stoppage I thought.Smith has power though, Kov seemed to have lost hes lately .He looked weak at the weight.

Fielding and Kovalev have somehow made people think Canelo is some devastating puncher. Canelo hasn't stopped a legit, prime opponent. Not saying he can't against Smith but I'd pump the brakes for these people saying Canelo knocks his head off or that he's going to stop him in a few rounds.

I doubt he learned anything new in the span of a year that’s going to get him past the eight round.
