I disagree. Why keep a person on your staff that you cannot respect or trust? Breland brought Wilder along as far as he could. He taught him how to throw the right hand and that's it.
However, Deontay refused to learn anything else. He refused to become more of a well-rounded, complete, scientific and fundamentally sound fighter.
So what was Breland to do; Other than to become one of Wilder's paid goons, henchmen and yes man by telling him only what he wants to hear but Mark isn't made that way? He saw a man being beaten within inches of his life and stopped the fight. That took both guts and fortitude?
Breland tried but he exhausted everything he could in order to make Deontay a better fighter but he wouldn't listen. So I think it's best for both men to go their separate ways.Comment

I don’t like Whyte as a fighter but I have to agree with him here. And there was 1 thing he said and I thought to myself, yea he is right.
“Someone who was actually from an emotional point, someone who understands, thinking about his health and did the right thing by throwing the towel in, because he could have got seriously hurt. He was getting hit with punches that weren't knocking him out, they were concussing him. Mark Breland knows what it's like, because Mark Breland has been in the same position Wilder was in. He's someone that cares about the athlete and the boxing side of things.”
We have seen this already so many times in fights as fans. Punches that don’t look like they are doing serious damage but actually are late on, life altering and causing death. And you group that with a HW throwing them, it’s very dangerous. I kinda believe Mark was looking intensely at Wilder, and thought he was about to get seriously hurt with a few more punches and possibly destroy his life and career. And he made a decision to take the heat and risk lose Wilders trust. He basically sacrificed himself and that tells me he actually cared about Wilder.
All of these idiots on here talking about loyalty probably never took 1 punch in their life. Never been in a professional especially against A HW, probably never been in a street fight, keyboard warriors, GTFOH. Mark did the right thing and Wilder is an idiot, just like Whyte, LOL!Comment

Mark Breland is well respected by Wilder and he treats Wilder like his younger brother. But the change was needed. We have no idea whats happening behind close doors. We only rely on the media for news. But one think that everyone missed. Finkel was quoted by ESPN, "And without going into details no one knows what goes on in our camp weekly and monthly and before the fight. And no one knows if this change came about from that one fight, or there were some other things, and the culmination was the loss."
We shouldn't be jumping to conclusions whether it's Fury, Joshua, Ruiz, Wilder or anyone's camp.Comment
